Chen’s Acupuncture & Herbs

I started coming in 2012 for high blood pressure. Wei helped me lower my blood pressure after multiple sessions. Whenever I feel off balanced I come in for a session and he even puts these small stickers in my ears with seeds in them that help during the day keep me balanced when I press them down. He also recommends herbs and gives you the most delicious tea at the end of your session.
Wei has such a gentle and honest way about him. Truly a wonderful Dr. that really cares about your well-​being and even answers his own phone. I love that! So personal. Prices are also very reasonable for the services.
He also moved to a new, nicer location right across the old one. He is now in the Better Buzz center instead of the Mama Kat’s one.

I came here because my brother-​in-​law was being treated by Dr. Wang with pretty good success, and I was trying to get over a nasty flu that was lasting two weeks. I made an appointment with Dr. Wang, but when I got there, he basically told me that acupuncture and herbs would take some time to have an effect, and the best way to get better was to adjust my diet to include some Chinese vegetables and fruits. He was very knowledgeable about the possible contamination that may be in Chinese herbs. He also diagnosed me with Lung Qi deficiency, which I later looked up, and found to be accurate. For my persistent cough, he recommend a cough medicine at his wife’s shop (also Chen’s acupuncture) in Vista. I did use that cough medicine (under $ 20 for a large bottle), and it was the only cough medicine that worked for me. I had tried cough drops, NyQuil, and even a prescription medicine with codeine, and none worked at all. The Chinese cough medicine he recommended both tasted pleasant and was effective in reducing the the amplitude of my coughs, so with it I was able to sleep finally.
The most surprising thing is that he would not charge me for his advice, despite me offering twice! I feel I can really trust Dr. Wang and would definitely go to him if I had chronic problems that required acupuncture or herbs.

It doesn’t get any better than this.
I have had off and on neck injuries since 1999 and have visited 5 different acupuncture professionals and Chin is superior to them all.
Don’t be afraid of acupuncture! It doesn’t hurt and your pain will go away !

So thankful to have found this place! I was so sick for a week — nothingggg was working. All of the over-​the-​counter drugs I was taking that usually worked, forget it. I was so desperate to get better, so I called and made an appointment. I have had acupuncture before and swear by it, but I’m always skeptical about trying a new place. Dr. Wang was wonderful and made me feel very comfortable. It was almost like going to a fortune teller because he knew everything that was going on before I even told him. The next day, I was 90% better. I will definitely be back!

I’ve been feeling better and better every day since my treatment! Chin agreed to see me last minute on New Year’s Eve. I was terribly desperate for pain relief, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t leave this place feeling like I was on Cloud Nine! If I didn’t live in Los Angeles, I would surely return here for further treatment. Great experience!

I pinched a nerve that has continued to brother me for a few years. I also had digestive problems because of my unbalanced immune system. I decides to get acupuncture to see if it could help me. Dr. Wang checked my tongue and pulse and knew right away what was wrong with me. He’s very careful putting the needles in and removing them. Also, after about 30 minutes of acupuncture hell come in and message your head to open up your energy. I highly recommend Dr.Wang.

Dr. Wang was able to get rid of the pain I was experiencing for 3 months in just 4 sessions! I had herniated discs (L3,L4,L5) that were pressing against the sciatic nerve causing constant and excruciating pain. I went to him out of desperation and he did needle work with electric stim and intense massage. I have now been pain free for 5 months! I’m going to go back for maintenance and get a check up :-)

I do not write reviews very often, but certain times move me to give praise to an individual.
First off, let me tell you that I am completely terrified of needles, so for me to see an acupuncturist I really need to find pain relief. My fiancé and I were in a car accident that caused both of us a great deal of pain to the point where my fiancé has difficulty moving around and I have constant upper back discomfort. Hence we were looking for a solution and we found it by visiting Chin’s Acupuncture and Herbs. Under the care of Mr. Wang, my fiancé has pain relief and more mobility than before. I have less pain and can move more freely. Since the accident, my fiancé and I have been going to see Mr. Wang of Chin’s Acupuncture and I can tell you it has made a huge difference.
He is not only a consummate professional, but he is also a kind and caring man with a great sense of humor. He is truly a healer who really knows what he is doing. We love visiting as well as the pain relief we receive from him so much that we recommended him to my parents; they now visit him regularly. Visit him if you want pain relief and you will not regret it.

This was my first time trying acupuncture and I have not stopped going back. Wei is awesome! He is very knowledgeable, very patient and understanding. I felt very comfortable and at home in his office. My sciatica has decreased dramatically since I started going to him. Cool spot… I really dig this guy. I recommend him to anyone of my friends that are considering acupuncture.

Came here for my birthday while I was in town with my boyfriend. I’ve been doing acupuncture for ten years and I have to say that Dr. Chin is amazing. Made my boyfriend try acupuncture with me, it was his first time ever. Dr. Chin knew what our health problems were within 5 seconds of looking at our tongues. After our treatment he finished us off with a little bit of acupressure, I guess I would call it, basically gently pushing the areas where the needles were, then a head massage with a jade stone and then with his hands. He was gentle with his needles both insertion and removing and he uses new needles. Very reasonable pricing for his expertise he could easily charge over $ 100 if he wanted to. Very nice experience and we’ll be stopping by every time we’re in the area.
