DESIGNscaping? What a joke! Diane talked a good line at first, and demanded cash up front for a complete landscape of both front and rear yards, but never came up with a design, as promised — her excuse was that she had parted ways with her friend who handled the design side of the business. Diane and her crew started puttering around anyway, and did a few things, but the lack of any planning was obvious, and when I demanded some sort of plan after she killed my 20-​year old existing rose bushes, she disappeared with my money, leaving my front and back yards just dirt and weeds. The minor amount of concrete and brick work that was performed was of poor quality, some of the bricks were never grouted, and a big pile of leftover concrete was left in the middle of the front yard. The gate in the new fencing sags and won’t latch, and the wood on the ugly arbor she installed is split from poor construction. I wish I had done some research before I’d given her more than ten thousand dollars that I took from my retirement savings. Turns out she over-​orders materials (including more than 100 bricks for my yard) then keeps them and sells them on Craigslist, and she’s committing fraud by not carrying worker’s comp for her employees. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
