History

Established in 2011.

As a mother of three young children, I wanted to make my kids’ birthday parties more interesting, fun and unique. My insatiable love for arts and crafts steered me towards face painting. Around seven years ago, after a few brush strokes on paper, I decided to project my designs onto my kids’ faces at their birthday party. It was a hit. All the kids wanted to have their faces done. I could not believe how rewarding it was to see the excitement and happiness in their faces. I was hooked.

I also discovered that twisting balloons to create characters and other things evoked the same excitement from the kids. What was surprising was I equally enjoyed making balooon art as much as face painting. It is a great combination for any party to have!

Over the years, I’ve done a lot of volunteering for classroom and school events, as well as parties for my friends. I take pride in what I do; and I enjoy what I do. Seeing the kids happy faces is what makes me want to do it more.

I wish I could give Gardenia more stars! She was truly amazing. I hired her for my son 2nd birthday and all the kids loved her and her work. She is very affordable and just sweet. I will definitely use her again for all my kids party’s.

I hired Gardenia for my daughter’s 3rd birthday party recently and she was amazing! Gardenia was very responsive via email and her website lists all her pricing. She showed up on time with all her equipment (the only thing I provided was a canopy since it was an outdoor party and sunny out) and she was so good with the children. Her artwork is amazing and even the parents were impressed. Very professional, and was great with children.

She was amazing. We were invited to a neighborhood party basically for all the kids in the cul-​de-​sac. This lady is so talented, pleasant and fast. She was so personable and treated every child so special… she has a way with kids, even babies!!! I couldn’t imagine something better for children, they were all delighted and proudly showed off there artistic face. I highly, without reservation, recommend Gardenia’s Faces. Gardenia is great! We had her do face painting and balloon art at my daughter’s 1st birthday party and she was a hit! She was professional and courteous through the booking process, she was early to the party and really made the most of her time there and made sure everyone got in on the fun. She was so great with all of the kids and her pricing is really fair, we’ll definitely be using her for future parties.

Hands down the best bang for your buck! Gardenia is not only an accomplished artist but, also super great with the kid and very accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Her balloon figures were amazing, too. I say this because she was making not only animals but, also people!

I found Out about Gardenia through a friend. I hired her for my children’s birthday party. She charged for mileage fee since I was located outside of San Marcos which was totally fine with me. I was so amazed and impressed by her work, so were all my guests. She was very personable and came on time and professional all the way down to her equipment. I thought I would be supplying a chair and table for her but she came with everything she needed.
I got her package with the face paint and balloon art which I thought was very reasonable. Her work was just so beautiful and we could see how talented she was that she loved what she did, even my daughter said «look mommy she draws perfect snowflakes»! The paints she used isn’t some cheap paint that rubs off right after applying like at carnivals. I definitely would recommend her and hire her again.

I am sooo happy I went with Gardenias Faces after debating between a few different options to entertain the kiddos AND Adults at my daughters 1st birthday party! (The adults loveddddd it!!) Gardenia was soo SPECTACULAR!!! I’ve been to events with face painters before and their skill was nothing like Gardenia’s! Her face paintings were so detailed to perfection and they actually looked just like the samples she provided. And she’s quick so she can squeeze in a lot in the amount of time you request. Not only does she do face paintings, she also does balloon twisting! Veryy talented sweet lady! She was very friendly and patient with the kids. Definitely recommend booking her to entertain at your party! It’s so worth it! I will definitely book her again!

I had Gardenia come for my daughters 4th birthday and it was prbably the best thing there. She was a huge hit and all the girls and boys loved her! Best of all this woman does everything, she did hair extensions, glitter tattoos even balloon animals! We had her stay for the whole party and the kids couldnt get enough. She was super friendly and punctual showing up and ready to go right on time and got back to me promptly with any questions or concerns I had. I plan on hiring her in the future and highly recommend her if your looking for someone for your childs party!

I booked Gardenia for my daughter’s 5th birthday party in December. From the moment I contacted Gardenia inquiring about her availability, she was very kind and prompt with her email responses. On the day of the party, Gardenia arrived early enough to set up before the contract hours started. She was wonderful with the kids and super accommodating with their face painting requests. When our contract time was up, she made sure everyone was taken care of before packing up. The day after the party, many of my friends were still commenting on Gardenia’s amazing talent and sweet personality! I will definitely contact Gardenia again whenever I need face painting and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a highly talented artist!

She is very talented, sweet and great with kids. She did a great job face painting and made lots of cute balloons for the kids. Kids were happy. I showed the pic that need to be done and she did face painting that look exactly in the pic. Awesome job! Moms even got the painting done. I had it on my hand. Love the dragon fly painting:). I found Gardenia’s Faces on Craigslist when I was planning our annual Christmas party. I wanted something that would entertain the kids and occupy some of their time. Gardenia offered a face painting and balloon animal package that was perfect! She came fully equipped, she was sweet with the kids and did an AMAZING job painting their faces and making balloon characters. I highly recommend Gardenia’s Faces for any event!
