iTAN Sun Spray Spa – San Marcos

This was my first visit to any place for a spray tan. I chose ITan based on the recommendation from a friend. Staff was great on the phone and answers all my questions so I could show up prepared. When I arrived, they were friendly, took their time explaining everything and most importantly, did NOT pressure me into buying extras or a membership. I was given a handout about the memberships, and will probably sign up for one, but totally appreciated not being pressured to do it on my first visit. Love the tan– it was fast simple and looks great!

Every Time I go into ITan I am treated so well and always enjoy the services as well as the results. Just wanted to say thank you to Bre, Alivia and Mackenna for always being so wonderful! They are so helpful and knowledgeable about the products and services that iTan has to offer! If you are thinking about trying out a tanning salon GO TO ITAN you will not be disappointed.

I had a great experience. It was my first airbrush tan and the girls were very helpful and professional. My color looks great. A+ and thank you!

I went in yesterday to sign up for a monthly membership, and buy some lotion.
Before I went in, I called and told the girl I wanted to tan today (yesterday) and purchase a membership. When I got there I gave the manager (a guy) all of my info, cc info etc. I picked out a lotion and then told him I wanted to tan. He told me it would be extra $$ to tan since it was the day before the semi annual sale. Totally get that, but I drove there to tan and the girl told me it was no problem. I told the manager that, and he was a complete jerk to me. Said he’d make no exceptions and said «you can go». Wtf? I asked for my info to be shredded (cc number) and he said he’ll do it later. I told him I wanted it either shredded now, or given to me. He refused to give me anything and said he’d do it when he could. Suffice to say, I was treated like dirt, disrespected, and lied to. If there is Freud on my card I will be extremely pissed. I will be going somewhere else to purchase tanning. Thanks for ruining my experience.
A member followed me out and told me he treats some people great, but she’s noticed he’s a jerk to most people.
I go to the la Costa one normally to purchase sprays. I have never been treated like that over there and might possibly join there, but I really don’t appreciate how the boy treated me.

Love the package deal I purchased quite some time ago. Has lasted me for some time now. Only really use the spray tans before special occasions. Turn out great everytime and the staff are very warm and always willing to help. Clean location and easy to find if you’ve never been to this location before!

I’ve been using iTan off and on for years. I just recently re-​activated my frozen membership. You can freeze your membership and pay $ 5/​month to keep it active (but frozen). When you re-​activate it, all of those $ 5 payment can be recouped through an in-​store product purchase. For instance, I had $ 50 saved-​up and used it to buy some tanning lotion.
The beds are all great. Sometimes the music doesn’t work and the channel selection is poor. There are two bathrooms which is nice for washing your face after a session.
Service and staff are usually very nice (and attractive, which is a bonus).

Wow this was the first time I have been to the San Marcos location and they have every service! By far one of the cleanest salons I have been to yet. Everyone was so warm and friendly, specifically Alex. He showed me how to use all of the services and I definitely took advantage of all of them! I am so impressed with how knowledgeable iTAN’s staff is; I will definitely be making the trip to San Marcos again.

For an establishment that only specializes in tanning I am baffled by the fact that the spray tanning booths are always broken when I go in. I feel so bad for the awesome staff (Makenna and Jaime specifically) because they have no support and no authority to make things right. I drive from Escondido to use the Versa that sprays your legs extra tan if you want and it is ALWAYS broken. You would think that management would be alittle more on top of their game in the repair process. They should also grant some authority to the team that works so hard for them by allowing them to do something that makes things right!

I love this location, the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean with newer equipment. Anytime that I have noticed bulbs out or an issue, I have let the staff know and they are really good about changing them out or correcting it. The San Marcos location also offers almost all of the iTan Spa services which is really convenient. I also really appreciate that they have early and late hours, it makes it easier to tan or get a body wrap after work.

This place is huge! Very clean, cool ac. The girl that just helped me was super sweet. Best location I’ve been to.

Clean, nice and offers the most variety of beds in great condition. Staff was awesome!

Best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Kindest most helpful staff from start to finish. Kora took my call prior to my arrival and offered a thorough explanation of the service I was seeking. Alex helped me when I arrived and again answered all of my questions and explained all of my options. Prior to my spray tan he showed me the booth and all the supplies and how I would use them. If you’ve ever considered having a spray tan or had interest in tanning THIS is the place to go!

First time here today and I became a member. The place is awesome and I’m so excited! Staff was supper helpful and they listened to what my goals are. I’m so excited for the summer hope to stay a loyal member if all goes well :)

This review is for the versa spray tan only. First off this versa is broken at least once a week! And when it is up and running it absolutely sucks! I have tanned multiple times and not gotten any color at all. It’s very frustrating and no one will admit there is a problem! I’ve been spray tanning for years and know that if you go in for a spray tan you should look tan within hours.
This last time did it for me. I tanned in the morning and by 5pm still nothing. So I went back the next morning and wore my undergarments just to prove a point and again NO color!!! How can you tan 2x in 24 hours and not have any color!!! They say it’s because versa came out with a new formula. Then I go to the Escondido location and they tell me that people are actually saying the new formula is darker! They say they hear the San Marcos versa doesn’t give color all the time by different customers!!! So I tan at the Escondido location and have color almost instantly!!!
Bottom line is San Marcos Versa SUCKS!!! Stop making excuse for your useless machine and do something about it!!! So frustrating especially since I just bought a year membership last week. I wish I didn’t have to write this review but I gave you guys multiple chances to do something about it and nothing was done :(

Love this one stop tanning salon! I love to get a good spray before any event! The staff here is amazing! Alex always helps me out! He is so upbeat and friendly everytime I come in! I always feel better everytime I leave!

McKenna and autumn are hot and amazingly nice!!! Actually everyone I have seen there is nice. The sun angel bed is amazing!!! I recommend that tanning bed to everyone!!!

I have been an iTAN customer for so long and truly love this location the staff is amazing welcoming and truly a joy to see every visit. Alex always has my spray ready when he sees me pull in and well Katie is just a wonderful gal on all levels this entire team is made up of super star employees great Job to you all for making my experience wonderful EVERY visit
