This is my favorite in San Marcos, besides the river! No High fructose corn syrup, yum flavors, and great location. Wednesday’s are fill your bowl for $ 4.99. Hell yeah! Oh and they always have cake batter flavor!

I enjoyed the frozen yogurt I got here. I thought their flavor choices were surprising — in a good way. They had dark chocolate, coconut, creamsicle, banana cream pie, cookies and cream and more! The toppings were in a lazy Susan, which nice because you didn’t have to reach really far like you sometimes have to at other places.

I finally stopped in at Josie’s, I’ve passed it many times and was curious. They had a relatively nice selection, even a red velvet. I purchased a small container each of cookies and cream and the dark chocolate yogurt. They are both very good, creamy and satisfying. I did not fill the containers as full as I could have and my purchase cost just about $ 8 bucks. It’s a no frills outfit, but I liked it fine and will definitely make another trip in the future. They also had a variety of fresh and fun toppings available.

Not a bad place at all. A little pricey, but not awful. I think the toppings are just fine. I’d go again.

Somewhat shocked by these reviews. I went in and had a wonderful experience. Flavors are different and exciting. We didn’t experience a rude manager but instead were greated by someone from behind the counter alerting us to ask her if we needed any help. The toppings are what really won me over, they even have fricking cheesecake bites!

This was my 2nd and LAST time to ever come back here! Upon walking in, it looked just like a regular frozen yogurt shop. I asked for a sample cup but instead of handing it to me, the employee said she had to serve it to me. Serve me a sample cup, really? It’s the size of a round gumball. I can do it myself, I’m not 5 years old anymore. It was definitely an awkward moment.. .especially when I asked to try another flavor, she had to go back behind the counter for another cup. Imagine if I had asked for a 3rd? Its not my fault I can be indecisive, I’m a paying customer! She said it was company policy.. .this was the FIRST place that I’ve ever been to that required the employee to serve me a sample. Are they afraid that I might get more than a one lick full, b/c that’s about all the tiny sample cup can hold. Very awkward feeling, uncomfortable even. Toppings Selection: VERY Small toppings to choose from! Fresh fruit? Only saw chopped strawberries. Customer Service: My 1st visit I had the WORST Customer Service EVER experienced… Ever!(a month ago) My 2nd visit… ehh, it wasn’t as bad. But come’on, it’s customer service, it should be easy. Right? I rarely complain about customer service. And more rarely have anything bad to say bout frozen yogurt.(a week ago) Bottom line: I Highly Do Not Recommend this place. There are other frozen yogurt places in San Marcos, I know I’ll be going to different one next time. :(

I went here for the LAST time today. I’ve been going here at least 2 times every month since they opened. The reason why I do not want to go here anymore is because of the one lady(manager?) who seems to be the only employee that ever works. She is EXTREMELY rude, condescending, snarky and distasteful in her casual conversations with customers. She used to be the old manager at the sushi place next door that shut down. My boyfriend and I stopped going there because of how uncomfortable she always made us feel when we went in there, and now she is clouding(what used to be) our favorite yogurt shop. As an example, the other day, I asked her for a recommendation for a dinner meal around San Marcos. She rudely responded with no recommendations and continued to gripe about all local businesses — seemingly still bitter about her last store’s failure. Every word that comes out of her mouth is unnecessarily rude and borderline aggressive as if she doesn’t know how to be even remotely pleasant. I can NOTSTAND the ugly personality on this lady and she really needs to stop being so unsettling and rude or I will never step foot in this location ever again.

Wow. Could the lady behind the counter be any less interested in her job? Headed through town on our way home from a roadtrip. Wish we had UnilocalED like we usually do, but I was driving and hubby just did a city search for yogurt and this was the closest one. Pros: Cute place, nicely decorated, seemed clean enough Cons: Strangely rude customer service — not sure what the problem was, we are a quiet, well behaved family and I didn’t see anything that might have indicated we had put her out, but then she behaved the same way with the next couple of groups that came in, so I guess at least it wasn’t personal. :) Love that health info on yogurt on the wall — that info would be so much more effective if you had more than say… 2 fruit options(one being maraschino cherries — does that really count?) and then all the rest was candy and sweets. Seriously. And the only sugar free yogurt option was COOKIEDOUGH?! If someone doesn’t want a lot of sugar, maybe go with a fruit flavor like all the other yogurt places in the universe. This place is quirky, doesn’t provide enough toppings, and in this day and age with businesses working so hard to get customers through the door I’d get an attitude adjustment.

To begin, I have never been here. I had to look up where it is. The reason I am leaving this review is because some snotty manager named Courtney called and left a message on my phone and informed me that I was dumping trash in their dumpster. She said she was being nice this time, but had it on tape and was going to report me to the police next time. She then proceeded to recite my name, address, and phone number, and reiterate that they had me on tape. Excuse me? You may have my information, and you may have someone on tape, but I’ve never been to this establishment in my life! What kind of unprofessional, self-important douche tries to enact vigilante justice against people they aren’t even sure of the identity of, and makes threats against them? I’m more concerned about the possibility that someone is stealing from my apartment’s open dumpster than ever, EVER giving this place my business. WAY to advertise! I read the reviews which say this is the lamest yogurt place in town, and now I can attest that you have a psychotic manager. That’s really got to be drawing in the customers!

I can’t believe how many yogurt places this town has… We’ve covered a fair amount of them on Friday afternoons after school. I like Josie’s, it’s a little quieter and not as much seating but it still has all the flavors and yummy toppings. They have a discount if you like them on Facebook(can use every time you go). Close to the river and the university and it’s own parking lot are bonuses!

Where do I even begin? This place is horrible. Very limited toppings, the yogurt melts incredibly fast, and the customer service is plain awful. I had to bring to the attendan’t attention that there was a stink bug crawling on the serving utensil of the cherries. The bug was actually crawling out of the bowl onto the serving tongs and all she did was replace the tongs and not the whole container of contaminated cherries. Disgusting! If you are looking for good customer service– do not come to this place. The girl working here during our visit was very tactless about telling us not to double dip if we wanted to sample different flavors. Well Duh! We know our manners. It felt like we were being reprimanded the minute we walked through the door. I will never step foot in this establishment again.

Very lack luster and corporate. There wasn’t anything special about this place. Flavors were bland and basic with small topping selection compared to the other places in town. Despite all that the girl working there clearly hates her job and barely said hello. I’m not sure why they thought it was a good idea to even open up in San Marcos considering there are already 3 other FROYO places in town. Stick with Crazy Good in town. They are super friendly, have the most selection and much better quality. The only place that is going to keep Josie’s open is the fact that they are close to campus and people can walk.
