I was not impressed with this place. I’ve been to much better and healthier tasting yogurt places than this. The«yogurt» tasted like sugary syrup and strangely artificial. The topping selection was nothing extraordinary, same typical set up.

Ick. Overly sweet melting mess. Slightly rude employee hanging with her boyfriend. Melts fast! Yoghurt WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY to sugary. Is there any actual yoghurt in it? Boo! I want my $ 6 back. Especially since I didn’t get to eat most of it because it turned into yoghurt milk.

Yo so Cool is the place to go for some frozen yogurt. They have lots of toppings to choose from, nice atmosphere. I would go almost 3 times a week with my college friends… i love this place !

After eating at Mimi’s Trailer Park Eatery, I like to cap it all off with some frozen yogurt from this place. Its the best especially after eating something spicy. They have many different flavors you can mix and toppings to go with it. You pay by the weight and the prices are reasonable. As a design student I find myself making my prints next door at the UPS store, eating a taco or burger at Mimi’s, then soothing away the stress at Yo So Cool. Terrible emotional eating, I know, but its frozen yogurt.

I absolutely LOVE Yo So Cool! The yogurt is yummy, and they have lots of toppings to choose from. The fruit is always fresh and the staff is really nice :) Yo So Cool is definitely my favorite yogurt shop in San Marcos!

I’ve lost count of how many frequent buyer cards we’ve gone through, that’s how much we love Yo So Cool! They offer a good variety of flavors. My personal favorite is Dulce De Leche. I also give a thumbs up for the variety of toppings, especially the fresh fruit! You have to be careful, because even at .39 a ounce, you can easily walk away spending more than you intended. My kids love this place so much, they now rather go here than get ice cream anywhere else!

For the love of God, why the hell is it the trend for everyone and their brother to open a yogurt shop? They are pretty much all the same on the inside, 6 to 10 self serve machines and a topping bar. This place does the American Airlines Frequent Diner program and its close to the house, so we rolled in. The guy working was hanging out with his girlfriend in the back. I love it when they only give you the mega sized bowl to put your yogurt in. My 13 year old has been known to fill that sucker up and it cost me $ 7 for his. I had my 4 year old in tow too. He did not need a monster bowl either. I grabbed Cake Batter, which is my favorite flavor of yogurt. I decided not to go overboard. That stuff will run right through you. The guy wearing glasses working the counter was not overtly friendly. He did give me a frequent buyer card. I joked they did the American Airlines Frequent diner program and he looked at me like a blank stare. I did noticed he was cutting fruit for the topping bar with no gloves on, nor did he wash his hands. That right there is gross. Secondly, he was cutting the fruit towards him. I kept waiting for him to cut himself. This place is close to Texas State. It is an awkward location if you are coming from IH35 with all the one way streets. It is between the Euro Café and the cool Chinese restaurant that used to be the CD Exchange. The décor is cool and they have free wifi. I will go back to get my yogurt fix. It the same price as the other yogurt shops, .39 per ounce. This one participates in the American Airlines program so that is a big plus so I will be back.

There seems to be an odd growing trend of frozen yogurt places in San Marcos and I am perfectly okay with it! Yo So Cool is my favorite of the three shops that are here. They have more flavor choices and more toppings than Twist and Shout or Crazy Good and their red velvet is delicious! The staff is also friendly and I like that they have a frequent buyer card!

I live right down the street from Yo So Cool, and while I’m not a huge frozen desserts fan, my girlfriend is so we decided to check it out. Our first visit was the first time either of us had been to one of these self service froyo places that seem to be sprouting up all over San Marcos. Since we didn’t know how it worked, we walked in and I said to the girl behind the counter«I don’t know how this works, but I just want to do a medium size container to go.» She looked at me blankly and said, «that would be cool, but I have no idea what you’re talking about.» She explained the process, and lo and behold, I found medium containers that I filled with my choice of frozen yogurt and toppings. Still not sure why she didn’t understand my question or felt the need for the attitude. The froyo was very good and reasonably priced. We have since been back and the employees have been very nice. Compared to other places like Crazy Good and Twist and Shout this one holds it’s own, and to me has better quality yogurt. Topping selection is slightly limited but they have the important ones. If you’re on this side of town check it out. Just don’t ask any questions in case Ms. Angrypants is working.
