We had a wonderful team event here. Staff was so welcoming and patient and everyone’s painting looked beautiful at the end. Highly recommend.

I had a great time painting again after years of focusing on other things. Chan was very patient and helpful. Fun vibe to this place, I will definitely be back.

Angela and her team at Create, Mix and Mingle were an absolute pleasure to work with. My organization hosted a fundraiser there last weekend and, not only did Angela check in with my team consistently to make sure we had everything we needed to promote the event, but she was also extremely flexible and personable. The venue was perfect for a fundraiser– we were able to go up and speak before we started painting, and we also hosted a raffle to raise additional funds. The instructors were wonderful and everyone seemed to have a great time. I would highly recommend this venue.

I was very apprehensive about going here as I am not a creative person, however, I had so much fun!!! The instructors are wonderful. They take it very slow and show you what to do. They also want you to be creative and personalize your painting. You just kick back, relax, have a drink, listen to music and paint. The facility is very easy to get to with plenty of parking. I was very impressed with the bar and variety of drinks that they offered! I can’t wait to go back!

I’m just going to jump right into this review… cause I’m not very good at giving reviews. My friend and I decided to try something artistic and take a break from our usual girls night at the bar… I am VERY artistically challenged. I can hardly draw a stick figure but I wanted to get my creative juices going. My friend felt the same. This place is literally less than half a mile from my house, so I chose them instead of other companies that were located in San Francisco or East Bay. Plus I really wanted to see if I could paint a moonlit wave :) When we first arrived we were a bit intimidated because we did not know what to expect, this was only thought about for a week before we decided to go for it. I have to say that everyone that was there was amazing. We went to the bar (it’s so CUTE) and ordered a South African Rose… it was amazing. The teacher (i am HORRIBLE with names, so bare with me here) was very patient as people kept talking over her, but she handled it so well. She also taught very well, she gave instructions but left it open for people to be creative on their own so that we all didn’t have exact same pictures. The ONLY thing I probably would recommend, is that there was about 5 times that I tried to get her attention because I had questions (I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so I wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly. even though we were supposed to be creative on our own.) There was one woman who worked there who started doing something to a canvas (the canvas was backwards, so I’m not sure if she was working on a separate project, since we were already half way in at this point.) She could see I was struggling as I made my moon into a sun :(so she came over and was SUPER attentive and helped me out. I made my sun into a moon and could not be happier with my picture. The same with my friend. We walked out laughing and talking about doing more of these nights. Maybe once a month, since it is a little bit on the expensive side BUT totally worth it.
I then showed my painting to my family the next day, and they were so impressed (since they know my lack of artistic skills) that we are now talking about doing a whole family night and including our 3 little ones we have in the house. Is it going to be expensive for 7 people… probably…will it be worth it… most definitely.
The first drink is free (and from what I saw they have a wide range of wines, beer, and then soft drinks and waters for the people who did not want to drink.) After that, it does cost (different prices depending on what you wanted but not unreasonable or expensive), and you can leave your painting to get more to drink, or there is also a break half way through for people to walk around, use the restroom, or order more drinks… i was a wee bit tipsy :)
I have to say all in all, this was an amazing experience, and I am so happy that I did it, and will definitely come back here.

My daughter and husband did the family painting for Fathers Day. They were very happy with the way the event was coordinated and with their paintings. My daughter now finished a week of camp in this facility and once again we are very pleased. My daughter had fun and created some awesome paintings. We recommend this place for either kids or adults.

I was so excited to take my sister here while she was visiting. We got a glass of wine and sat down in a friendly and fun environment to use our creativity to paint. There was an instructor to help us along the way and he was patient and did s great job of explaining and going at a beginners pace! The owners deb and Angela are wonderful… Very inviting and wonderful selection of beer and wine! I can’t wait to go again!

Came here for a company event and the entire staff were all very helpful and nice! When we were booking the event, they were very flexible in terms of payment and we were able to pay a deposit and then pay the rest based on our confirmed number of attendees. This is a huge plus since many venues require payment early on, or require payment for a certain number of attendees quoted even though that number could change in the future. We booked the entire main class area for the event, so it was a nice private setting.
Onto the actual event — the staff was very accommodating to the group and the instructor was very kind and thoughtful, walking around asking people if they needed more paint, giving his opinion on people’s paintings and answering questions. Since a lot of the people had no experience at all painting, the instructor did a great job helping everyone out and constantly reinforcing that ‘there is no right way to do this!‘
Additionally, they served drinks — wine, beers, and soda. They have a nice selection of wines and beers, and I noticed people who had gotten sodas had izze and mexican coke, which is better than I expected (I’m not really sure what I was expecting, probably just the standard aluminum can sodas like pepsi/​coke/​mountain dew).

Create Mix & Mingle did a private party at Zambra in Burlingame for my grandma’s birthday celebration and it was so much fun! We really enjoyed ourselves.
We originally were going to their venue but in the contract, it states that no one under 21 years old is allowed in the party because they have a bar inside too. Two of my cousins are only 19 so we were bummed when we found out they could not participate. However, Debra (the lady my mom worked with to organize the party) works with a few restaurants around the area and allowed us to have our paint party at Zambra, which is right off of Burlingame Avenue. Of course, we had to eat there in order to have the paint party but the tapas were great! We ordered a bunch of food and it was the perfect amount to feed a dozen people!
Our instructor, B, was really sweet and so patient with all of us. There were about 12 of us that she was guiding through the painting (forest-​sunset landscape) and she did a fantastic job. She was quick to provide us with extra paint, advice and time since some of us were moving slower than the rest.
I love paint parties and think they are a great idea for any family function or team building in general. Thanks for making my grandma’s birthday unique and fun!

Last May my sister bought us a Groupon for a family session. We finally had a chance to go today. It was me (no talent at all!), my hubby and our daughter. What fun! Chan (like Jackie Chan, as he tells everyone) was our talented instructor. He was wonderful. Friendly, patient, informative and fun! We had such a great time. We also got to meet one of the owners, Deb. Very friendly and personable. They have a great system for conducting their painting classes and everything went smoothly and very enjoyably. We’ve already decided to host our daughter’s next birthday party there. Hubby & I are also thinking of attending some of the evening adult sessions for date nites. Painting & wine! Fun, fun, fun!

I attended a university alumni event with a friend and our group sipped wine and studied Van Gogh’s Starry Starry Night. Our instructor was fun, informative and open to all the various interpretations our group displayed in our paintings. The wine bar was a very fun touch … I highly recommend this experience and will be back with my kids or friends! What a great creative space! Hurray!

My girl friends and I decided to have a nice relaxing girls night out. We love wine and do not have any art experience what so ever. This place was perfect! Exactly what we were looking for. The instructor robin was great! You can really tell she loves her work and was generally interested in giving you the best experience possible. One of the owners was there as well. Great customer service and made us feel welcome. We will be going back and will recommend this gem to our friends. They also have a different variety of wines stalked up. Pretty good!

Fun way to spend a weekday with your girlfriends or with your significant other for a date night.
My gripe about this place was that it did not start on time. On the reservation it said we needed to be there early to check in and get settled so I got there over 20 mins ahead of schedule and there was still a «Closed» sign on the door. I called the business and no answer. Finally with about 5 minutes until the stated class time did the doors open. The class did not start until about 30 mins after as people were getting settled, buying snacks/​drinks, etc… We didn’t end the class until well over 9:30 and still hadn’t eaten dinner so keep that in mind if heading to a class straight after work.

Went for a girl’s night out and had the best time!
The studio is amazing — super clean and the walls are lined with different paintings they offer. Your painting space is plenty, everything is organized for you. They had the easels and brushes all set up with an example painting up on the stage as a model.
The whole atmosphere is fun, the teacher was so nice, they had music playing and the other guests were laughing and having a good time. They have a bar, they serve wine, beer and sodas. They had cheese a crackers out for us and there were a couple of birthday’s being celebrated so the vibe was good.
And for the record I can’t color within the lines let alone paint and I loved my painting. Pretty impressive.
Very fun night out. I have booked an evening at CM&M for an upcoming team event. All the invitees are very excited!

My boyfriend and I attended a 21+ night at Create Mix and Mingle with 2 other couples and we all had a great time. We had purchased Amazon deals (total value per couple: $ 90, paid value: $ 40) a few months back and finally put them to use. We all agreed we’d like to do it again but not sure that we’d be willing to pay $ 45 per person. It would be great if a glass of wine or some sort of beverage was included but they were only available at an additional cost.
After we arrived we got set up with our paints and brushes and the instructor then gave a us step by step instructions to create our masterpieces! They played music throughout and there was a really laid back/​fun vibe.
I found it slightly awkward when the paint instructor sort of solicited tips but not sure how else we would have known. Maybe it should be included in the registration confirmation?
Anyway, I highly recommend this for a date night or girls night out. I’m sure the all ages classes are fun for kids as well!

I attended a class here last night. We were painting a gorgeous white poppy!
I’ve done several of the paint/​wine events around the area. This one is my favorite! It’s so nice to have a place set up to work! Everyone gets more space, you’re not squished up next to someone where you have to worry about bumping something, or where to put your food or drink. The lighting was better. It was easier to get more paint if you need it. Plus the instructor stood up on a platform and had a mic — sooo much easier to see and hear!
I was pretty pleased with how my painting turned out! We all got great step by step instructions on how to do it. The staff were all very friendly and attentive!
The only thing that keeps me from giving this a full 5 stars (I’d give 4.5 if I could) was the price of the wine. I know it’s optional, but my small plastic glass of red wine was $ 12! (+tax!)
As I don’t claim to be a painter, and just do these classes for fun, the price gets steep. $ 45 for the class, and at least another $ 10 or so for a drink. It’s a pricey night out for me. I did use a groupon deal, which was great. The price might keep me from being a regular though.

We came here for a work team building event yesterday, and it was so much fun! They served us something to drink first: champagne, Italian sodas and water, which was a nice welcome. We brought our own catered lunch and settled in to begin painting together.
They had the easles and paints all set up with an example painting up on the stage as a model. Chan guided us through the design of the painting but let you express yourself freely by styling and choosing tints of colors that he recommended. He patiently explains which paint brushes to use for each type of paint stroke and they have plenty of paint in push top bottles for you to help yourself.
They have water to drink and they come by with more champagne and Italian soda if you like while you paint. We got into it! And we had fun bonding and expressing ourselves artistically. They play cool 80s/​90s music that bring back memories and get you singing while you paint.
They provide clean restrooms too, and there is plenty of parking in the shopping center parking lot. What an enjoyable day spent with my team! I would highly recommend this for work team building events or getting together with your friends to make something beautiful!
When I rode the BART home, I got compliments on my painting by fellow riders, and my friend’s sister actually wants to buy or have a copy of my painting! Who would’ve thought that I could express myself in a way that had such a positive effect on people. Hmmm! Maybe I should express myself more!

I love Groupon because sometimes, they really take me to an awesome, new place. I bought a deal for one to get a little creative, relaxing «me» time away from my husband and baby girl. I’m so glad that I did.
Create, Mix and Mingle is in a simple, clean open space with lots of natural light coming in through tall windows… which is a good thing because while I was there, PG&E had a power outage and we were without electricity for a good hour.
As if painting isn’t relaxing enough, they do have a bar to purchase alcohol to lower your inhibitions just a bit.
The instructor is great. Explains things really well, with a sense of humor. Very patient and walks around the room to make sure you understand or to lend a helping hand.
Check out my masterpiece and just call me Van Gogh! Well, I’m not THAT good but I’m pretty proud of my painting. Create, Mix & Mingle took a horrible artist and made me look like I actually knew what I was doing. Really, I can barely draw stick figures.
I am definitely coming back to paint some more!
