Joe’s awesome ! Had a crazy problem with my «automatic» headlights acting with a mind of their own, and Joe spent the time without overcharging me to figure out the problem. I would highly recommend him as my mechanic.

This place is the Bomb-​diggity-​ding-​dong of auto shops. My husband referred me and now this is the ONLY place that we bring our cars to. Actually, since we are so close by (like 5 houses), Joe often picks up and drops off the car. WHO DOES THAT?! Great, honest and friendly service. A++++++++

I just want to say Joe is WONDERFUL, honest, and most Trust worthy mechanic !
I took my car for an inspection to another shop, and the car won’t run anymore. Some said it was the alternator, and battery.
Joe found that the battery was drain and he charged it up.
In other mechanic shop, they were going to charge me over $ 800 to change the alternator.
Joe was honest, He didn’t try to do work that’s not needed.

My husband and I have only taken our cars to Joe at Metric Tech for a year or so, but he’s been rock solid — everything other people rave about him has been our experience, too. You will never meet a nicer, more upstanding man than Joe. This week he prepped our two cars for our move to Las Vegas, and he found and fixed everything necessary and nothing that wasn’t. He showed us the faulty parts, shopped diligently to get the best parts prices, and he doesn’t overcharge. We highly recommend him to others.

Joe is a tremendous mechanic, honest to a fault, friendly, and delivers on time, just as he always has. I’ve been a customer since 1996 and can’t recommend him highly enough. He’s take care of 3 cars for me over that time period, each time, at or below quote, and the work is done right, and he stands behind his service.

Joe is friendly, honest, and just plain old nice. I am SO RELIEVED that I’ve finally found a mechanic I can completely trust. He deserves your business.
UPDATE: I’ve been to Joe two more times since this visit and both times he was thorough, friendly, and honest.
In fact, today I brought my car in because the brakes were squeaking and I figured I needed new brake pads. But Joe test drove it and checked out the pads and told me they’re fine.
He tells me that some chemicals car washes use to clean tire rims can create the squeak and yes, about a week ago I had my car and tires cleaned. Mystery solved, peace of mind achieved, no money spent.
This guy is THE BEST. If you need a mechanic for any car and you live or work mid-​peninsula, this guy is your man!

I trust Joe to tell me the truth. There have been times when he has said ‘this will need to be fixed, but you could wait until…” I appreciate this honest and, as a result, I come back when it does need to be fixed! He also spends the time to investigate a problem.

Joe is definitely one of those rare, genuine and true mechanics out there. He won’t bs you about anything that doesn’t need to be fixed, and he takes his time working on your vehicles. For the past 10+ years I have been bringing my vehicles to Joe, and he takes great care of them.
If you decide to check him out, let him know that AJ recommended his shop. And if you want to see something really gnar gnar, ask to see his roadrunner =)

I’ve been going to Joe now for a couple years and I must say that finding a mechanic that is skilled AND trustworthy is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
I met him at a gym we both used to work out at and on a whim, I decided to take my civic to him. His friendly demeanor was definitely something that helped me make the decision to try his skills out.

My family has been a sending our cars to Joe for over 8 years now. Each time he works on our cars, he does his due diligence in his investigation. I would like to applaud his honesty each time he presents us with the diagnosis. He has never push us on fixing anything that does not need to be fixed.
I would like to bring to your attention a recent experience:
I received a check engine light on my civic fearing the worst I called Joe. Without bring in my car, Joe informed me that Honda had a recall for a catalytic convert for my car and suggested that I bring my car into Honda. His knowledge of cars and customer centric attitude saved me over $ 600!
I would HIGHLY recommend Metric Tech.

Joe rock!!! We have been taking our cars to Joe since 5 years ago. He is super nice and HONEST!
I took my car to Beaverton Honda for a recall of some sort and they told me the timing belt has cracks. (They tried to scare me of the possible issue if it breaks.) I didn’t believe them and took the car to Joe. Joe confirmed it was fine and no need to change the belt at 60K. I don’t ever go to the Honda dealership anymore.

I moved to the peninsula a few years ago and shortly after getting there found myself in need of a mechanic. I couldn’t get my car up to San Francisco to my previous mechanic and ended up at Metric Tech.
Joe was there to help me out of bind with my last car, I’ve been taking my cars there ever since. I never have to worry about if I’m going to be charged for something that I don’t need. Joe explains everything in a way that you will understand it and is generally an honest guy. I’ve recommended many of my friends and co-​workers to him.
