EHC Eros Heating And Cooling

Our heater was blowing cold air. After calling a number of people, I chanced upon EHC. Noe only they came the same day, but they were on-​time, prompt, did an honest assessment and excellent fix, including providing spare part.

I have a rental property that got problem with the heater. Eros made the diagnosis on the same day I called and get it fixed on the second day I decided to move forward with the fix. Very prompt and excellent work! My tenant was very happy!

I called EHC heating (in the middle of January) after placing at least 8 other calls with other heating contractors, and they actually answered the phone. They were here a couple of hours later as promised. After inspecting my 30 year old furnace we agreed on a brand new high efficiency unit which they had installed before dark… totally pleased with the retrofit. It is so nice to do business with a company that does exactly what they say they’ll do !!!

Great experience– fast reply, friendly, helpful customer service. Hernan and Jonathan were courteous and calm and came out on Saturday to rescue us, restoring our atmosphere from frigid to temperate on a day when no other heating company was available.

I just called to get an estimate to come check our floor heater. The person I spoke to gave me the info and then suggested I call PG&E first because they check it for free. That is great service!

Everybody busy during December storms but EHC was prompt, very helpful and affordable.
He even took the time to undo a sealed vent free of charge, which was the cause for the heater to turn off. How he new there was a sealed vent proved his efficiency… he diagnosed this in a couple of minutes.
Certainly would call them again…

Same day service with a smile: Eros answered my call and gave me a window from 3 – 6 pm that same day. Other companies were offering to come in 3 – 7 days. He arrived on schedule and diagnosed the problem with my thermostat, and it was fixed within 30 minutes for a very good price. Thank you Eros! If you ever have any HVAC troubles I recommenced EHC.

Great service and nice people! Called this morning and David came out this afternoon, installed a new thermostat and checked our furnace. Everything is working well.

Received a call from the owner after I initially gave the company a 1 star rating. The reason for the initial rating? Made an appointment for an estimate on a very time sensitive issue of getting furnace removed due to an asbestos abatement job. We are having our first baby in 2 weeks. Their tech showed up not knowing why he was there, he called his boss and his boss said they don’t perform that service.
After I reviewed them on Unilocal,the owner calls me, apologizes, and says he’d be out to give us the estimate himself and a «good price» if I took down the Unilocal review. He came out as promised and gave us the estimate, which was a bit higher than another company had quoted. Fair enough.
His «to dos» was to contact our furnace warranty company to ask about an issue we are having with a motor. I didn’t ask him to call, he offered adamantly. A week later we have no response from him. I called to negotiate a price and to ask about him calling our furnace warranty company. The guy that picked up the phone was very rude and stated that the owner would return my call the next day. He said bye and I asked if he would want the call back number, considering that’s how things work with telecommunications. I also asked if it could be the same day since it was still early in the day. The guy said «No.»
A week later and no return call. Seems that since I took down my initial Unilocal review, they could care less about returning my call or honoring their promise. Well, here I go again.

Early this evening we started hearing a really scary sound coming from our heater. I called a bunch of places but since it’s a Saturday and it was after normal hour no one was able to see us until Monday morning.
Eros answered right away and gave an hour time frame he could swing by. He showed up during the time we expected, promptly diagnosed the problem and got to fixing our furnace once he knew he had the right part on hand.
We’re grateful to be sleeping in a warm house tonight!

Add me to the list of satisfied five-​star reviews. Our 40+ year old floor furnace recently stopped working, just when it’s starting to get pretty darn cold and yes, it’s also Thanksgiving week. The first person I called told me it would be two weeks before they come out. So thankfully I tried Eros Heating & Cooling, and got an appointment for the next day. Although Eros was running late and missed the two-​hour window, he did call to let me know, which I appreciate. Turns out that my poor old furnace needed a new gas valve, which he happened to have in his truck. Less than 2 hours later, I am toasty warm in my house! Wahoo! Great customer service, communication & skills. I will definitely call on them again.

My parents rental property needs a gas heater service. The pilot light was on too high and it cost lots of gas money. So I called and the very next day the owner Eros and his assistant showed up and take a look at the heater. He explained clearly with the problem. And give me all the answer for all the questions I have. Replaced the part for the old antique heater with very reasonable price.
Fast and professional service even in this busy holiday season.

After messing around with what I presumed was a broken thermostat, I came to the sorry realization that I was going to need someone to come out and check the furnace. I had no idea where to start, so I turned to my trusted Unilocalers. After calling around, most places could offer me an appointment at least a week out, but EHC told me they could get a tech out the same day.
Two hours later we were standing in the yard discussing options. Since I was hesitant to buy a new furnace so close to Christmas, two remedial suggestions were offered: try a new generator, and try a new gas valve. In the end we did both, and the furnace powered right up (thank goodness!) I seriously hope I don’t have any more heating issues, but if I do I will definitely be calling EHC again.

Our heater has been out for about 2 years. I had originally called a local repair person and he charged me $ 90 to come out and troubleshoot. He quoted me about $ 1300 for the repair job but he was actually trying to upsell me a new furnace. Anyway, i decided against this repair person and decided to go with space heaters for a while.
Fast forward to this week when i found Eros information on nextdoor and Unilocal.I was first intrigued by the $ 45 charge to come out and troubleshoot. I figured it’s good to get a 2^nd opinion and worst case i would be out of $ 45.
I spoke with Eros and scheduled an appointment for Saturday. The technician come out and was very pleasant. He was trouble shooting the heater and ultimately found the root cause. He showed me what the issue was and worked up a quote. He called Eros so i could speak to him about the quote and explain what the issue was. I appreciate not being upsold on a new furnace. The technician stayed for about 2 hours troubleshooting because he wanted to make sure that that’s what the issue was. I decided to go ahead with the repair because:
1) Honesty and trustworthy
2) Took the time to troubleshoot. Really went above and beyond.
3) Prices were reasonable
4) Constantly Communicated.
5) Did not try to sell me a new furnace.
6) Cleaned up after themselves.
7) I had some duct tape coming off the vents. Installed some tape without charge.
8) Cleaned the furnace area and tuned it.
We finally have HEAT after 2 years. My wife is sooo happy and we don’t have to use space heaters anymore.
Eros is the man! Very reasonable, honest! I feel like i have a brand new heater now!

AC system at my small business suddenly died, called Eros based on Unilocal reviews and was able to schedule an appointment the following day. As far as service goes, the system works perfectly and he had it done in a matter of a couple hours.
I didn’t bother getting a second opinion or calling other companies for a quote because I needed it done so can’t speak as to how reasonable are the prices, but very friendly guy.
