Maya is amazing! She is meticulous about making your nails look perfect. Such attention to every little detail!!! Every time my daughter and I go to her, our nails look PERFECT! Maya stays on top of the most recent trends, does a lot of research and attends educational seminars and classes, always willing to try new things. Her salon is very cosy and relaxing! As a medical professional, I appreciate her effort to assure strict quality control in an eco friendly environment! My daughter loves Maya! She is very personable, educated — just a pleasure to be around! We can’t wait to see her every couple of weeks for our shellac manicures!!! So glad we found her. Highly recommend!

Maya is the sweetest and most talented nail professional I have met. I love that she has a serene studio where she treats here clients to a one-​on-​one experience and her attention to detail and creativity is unparalleled. As a busy mompreneur it is nice to sit down for an hour every other week and treat myself to gorgeous new nails and beautiful toes — just in time for summer sandal season. A top notch professional, she takes great pride in her work. Highly recommended.

Before Maya, I seriously considered chopping off my toes! Swollen feet during pregnancy made my toes super cranky and belligerent with painful ingrowns. Maya didn’t even blink an eye. She calmly and skillfully removed the angry «horns» and relieved all that pressure. And then gave me a top-​notch pedicure and relaxing massage, along with some fun and much-​needed girly time. She made my feet happy again! Now I see her monthly for maintenance and my tootsies are under control — and summer-​sandal pretty. Thank you, Unilocal reviewers for helping me find Maya. Maya is a delight to spend time with. She provides a service that one chooses in a clean and comfortable environment. She is professional and friendly, and does exceptional work. She can accommodate any mood while providing an awesome manicure/​pedicure. I’m happy to be a regular of Maya’s.

Maya is like a surgeon. Highly recommend her! She also gives the best food rub that you will ever get during a pedicure. Her pedicures last and last.

Awful, she wouldn’t stop talking (and about really personal issues!) through the entire manicure. My pedicure was awful it looked like a 3^rd grader painted my nails, when I pointed it out and asked her (very politely) to correct it, she got upset. My polish peeled off 2 days later, I called to complain she said she would be happy to fix it, yet she couldn’t find a time in her «busy» schedule to accommodate me. Really, really, really expensive.

I’ve always hated nail solons, and I feel like most men aren’t thrilled to find themselves in one when their wives demand their Frodo feet be tamed. That being said, Maya’s setup is totally different. Gone is the overpriced palace of snobbery, and «take a number» style service. Instead, you have a 1 on 1 appointment with someone who actually cares if you come back… what a concept! Maya is friendly, engaging, punctual, and professional from the start. Her studio is clean and comfortable, and the products/​tools she uses are wonderful. I’ve been getting pedicures every week for a year and a half now, and even though I am moving to the city, I’m still keeping my weekly appointments with her… seriously, she’s that worth it. And based on her busy schedule (she usually isn’t available for same day appointments), I’m guessing I’m not the only who thinks so!

A friend of mine generously sent me a gift certificate for a mani/​pedi with Maya. Due to a cancellation, I was able to get an appointment with Maya the day before I left on my Bachelorette Cruise. I was sooo incredibly grateful it worked out this way. Maya was so friendly and nice on the phone when I booked my appointment. She even knew who I was ahead of time since my friend who gave me the gift card mentioned I’d be calling. Maya was genuinely excited to help me look my best for my Bachelorette weekend. I was nervous at first since I’ve always been a nail biter but I have been working hard at trying to let my nails grow for my wedding and Maya was so proud of me. Lol. She suggested the shellac option and boy am I so satisfied with the results! I have never in my life had my nails looking this good. EVER! It’s been a week and my nails still look like I’ve I just walked right out of the salon! I have received so many compliments as well. Between the amazing foot scrub (which is always the most ticklish part for me but wasn’t at all!) the hand massage, and fun colors Maya picked out for me, I could not have been more pleased! She was not only so professional but super easy to talk. I felt very pimped and pampered and even plan to go back there to have my nails done for my wedding in a few weeks. If you are looking for the most enjoyable nail salon experience I highly recommend making an appointment with the wonderful Maya Diaz. You will not be disappointed!

I had my first appointment with Maya the other day and let me tell you, she does beautiful work. I had a pedi and had her clean up the cuticles on my hands. Her Salon is quiet, doesn’t reek of chemicals and you get total one on one care. I have an ingrown toenail and she made it look great. The pedi is so perfect my husband noticed it! She is very careful, uses disinfected instruments and the place is spotless.
It is such a pleasure to go into a salon that doesn’t make you feel rushed or that they aren’t listening to your requests. Or worse yet, don’t understand because they don’t speak English. Maya is a lovely caring person who takes pride in her profession and it shows. I have booked two more appointments with her and can hardly wait to have a mani by her. She cleaned up my cuticles and then buffed them so it looks like I have a clear top coat on. She is worth every penny if you want an unhurried, careful and perfect mani or pedi. She works alone and when you are there the focus is on you! Plenty of street parking and easy to get to. On top of all that, she is very funny and upbeat. You’ll go away with a smile on your face, and perfect nails.

I had a wonderful experience at Maya Diaz Studio. I choose this business based on favorable Unilocal reviews to which I only give so much weight (you’ve heard the stories about Unilocal) but I decided to give it a try. My nails are a mess and I really needed individualized communication and attention and that is what I received at Maya Diaz. Typical nail salons feel like an assembly line compared to this salon. Maya works alone and the space is small but I felt very well taken care of at the end of my appointment and left feeling like I had a spa experience vs. a rushed mani with little or no communication like I feel at my usual go to spot.

I had been wearing acrylic nails for almost a year and I knew I wanted a change. One of my clients recommended Maya to me MONTHS before I could get in with her! I knew good things come to those who wait and boy was is it good! It was such a personal experience and far superior than a chop shop mani/​pedi! Ps I squeezed in a pedicure too! Everything was phenomenal! I’m hooked! All I can say is if you want great nails get an appt with Maya no matter what!

This woman is AZAMING. I was a fateful client of hers for 4−5months, seeing her every other week but unfortunately since I live in Petaluma, Ca and my work has me traveling last minute, Maya isn’t my go to choice anymore. Sadly.
Anyways, she is very attentive, nice, professional and always aim to please. The only downer is you can’t come here with a group of girlfriends because it’s not your typical nail salon in a shopping plaza, it’s an one on one base appointment.
Maya Diaz has a great collection of regular nail polish (non– Shellac). Her Shellac colors aren’t as vast but she still carry great colors.
If you’re thinking about giving Maya Diaz a try then you’re thinking too hard. Just pick up the phone and make an appointment before she gets over booked. Make sure you get a pedi. Hands down the BEST pedi I have ever had!

I just saw maya for the first time and we had a blast! she’s a riot and i’ll definitely be seeing her again. she did a great job on my nails (all 20) which had been neglected for months. she took her time and made sure they turned our perfectly. her studio is super cute and extremely clean. she’s got great taste and a focus on details. get on her books and spoil yourself. no more corner salon mani/​pedi jobs for me!

After an abusive and botched shellac experience, cuticles raw, I decided to give Maya a try. She has nurtured my nails and cuticles back to health.
She is the consummate professional and I always feel so pampered when I see her. It helps that she’s got an intimate space without a high volume vibe, that doesn’t reek of acrylic, or have tattered copies of US Weekly lying around, but Maya’s technique is really what it’s all about. She’s so careful, attentive and thorough, with an eagle’s eye for detail. My nails always look fabulous, whether I go for a natural buff, polish, or shellac.
Give Maya a try, because you deserve something more than the usual rush job. Book an appointment! She’s busy… which says a lot.

After reading many of the reviews on Unilocal,I decided to take the plunge and make a call to Maya for a mani/​pedi.
I wasn’t disappointed.
From the moment I walked into her soothing, cozy salon, I knew I was in for a special treat. Not to be confused with a production-​line type of nail shop, this was the complete opposite. Clean, professional and relaxing. Maya took the time to gather pertinent info and history from me regarding my nails and cuticles. As a medical professional, I appreciate this added touch.
I never felt rushed or made to feel uncomfortable as I have in the past in other salons with nail techs who conversed freely in their native tongue, but didn’t take the time to speak to me in mine.
Do yourself a huge favor. Call Maya. Don’t bother with anyone else, because I’m quite certain you’ll be hard-​pressed to find a one-​on-​one experience that can match the one you’ll get with her.

I first visited Maya because of Unilocal reviews and would not go anywhere else now.
I would recommend Maya Diaz to anyone looking for:
— high quality, beautiful manicures and pedicures.
— personalized and caring service in a comfortable, one-​customer-​at-​a-​time setting (there’s never anyone waiting behind you because you book an appointment).
— CND Shellac manicures which last about 2 weeks without chipping or peeling.
— Traditional OPI pedicures which last 4 – 5 weeks without chipping or fading.
I would not recommend Maya Diaz for anyone looking for:
— A walk-​in experience (unless you called and she happened to be free – she books up quickly though!).
— A multi-​customer, spa massage chair type of experience (I thought I would miss this; now I realize that that was just about the only relaxing thing at your usual nail salon).
— A sense of anonymity because you can’t converse with the individual doing your nails in their language, or because they are talking with their co-​workers.
This is THE salon for someone who wants consistent, stunningly gorgeous manicures and pedicures that will receive compliments everywhere. The quality Maya offers comes at a price, but when I compare a dependable 2-​week shellac manicure to a traditional or gel that will chip or peel within days, $ 40 every two weeks is truly affordable and worth it. Her pedicure is $ 45 and again, lasts so long that it’s a value as well.
The biggest bonus besides the look and duration of my manicures and pedicures is that I no longer have to bear through traditional salon culture, which involves feeling disconnected from the person performing the service. This had previously been my experience, always made me uncomfortable, and kept me from getting my nails done on a consistent basis. So with a little forward planning on appointments (she’ll book as many as you want as far in advance as you want, and has many standing appointments with loyal customers), you can feel confident in the Maya Diaz experience. She will be happy to provide a regular luxury in your life and will not disappoint!

Today was my third time going in to see Jill and get the CND Shellac manicure, and everytime I go in, I fall more and more in love with the Shellac and the fabulous ladies.
I caved to the higher price Shellac and went to see Maya and Jill 2 months ago after having a «gellac» manicure at some shoddy nail place that only lasted 3 days before chipping. It also helped that, at the time, Maya Diaz was having a special on the Deluxe Shellac for the price of the Express (you can call and see if she is still offering this deal for first time clients).
I went in and saw Jill who explained the entire Shellac product, line and care. My Shellac manicure lasted THREE WEEKS. When I finally called to come in and get it re-​done, both Jill and Maya were AMAZED how great of a condition my nails looked after three weeks (they recommend that most people need to have it re-​done every 2 weeks). The second time I went for a fabulous red which Jill assured me would peel at two weeks given the nature of red polishes. I actually had to call and cancel my appointment and push it to three weeks because the polish had held up so well (This is a gal who washes dishes, types for a living and plays a mean tennis on a weekly basis). When I walked in Maya gave me a look as though it couldn’t possibly have lasted that long and said «Let me see!» and her jaw dropped when I showed her my nails and she saw how well the Shellac still looked.
I’m sold on it and will never go back to any other crappy nail salon or the cheap polishes. It is a bit more expensive, however, the price of knowing that for 3 weeks, my nails wont chip, will look professional for work and special occasions is priceless. I get amazing compliments on my nails, and they look so great and professional, I’m constantly being asked if they are artificial nails (it seems like the shellac saves the nails from breaking and becoming brittle, preserving the shape for longer).
The ladies are the icing on the cake, as the last time I was there Jill ran out to my meter and put more time on it while I had a pedicure. She also remembers everything about my pending trip details and is one of the most thoughtful, attendant people I’ve ever met. I’m going on a trip shortly after 4^th of July, during which they have limited hours, and I scheduled a pending appointment and Jill has planned to call me the day before to see if I still need it. If that isn’t amazing service, I don’t know what is.

Oh lordie. I’ve just found my mani/​pedi safe haven!
Maya is wonderful and she knows it. I’ve never had a bad manicure (btw, it’s worth it to get the Shellac polish) or pedicure from Maya. Found her on Unilocal and thank you fellow Unilocalers because she is seriously amazing. I’m back every few weeks and I’m excited every time I go!

I just got the gel manicure last week. Not even a hint of a chip yet. I am super rough with my hands all day long. My nails get bumped and scuffed a lot and yet they still look as good as the day I walked out of there! I appreciate the fact that there is no acrylic nail odor lingering in her studio and the fact that she only takes one client at a time I felt so pampered.

I can never keep polish on my hands and Maya’s manicure lasted a good 2 weeks. Which is amazing because I work with my hands.
Maya is a lot of fun and it it is very refreshing that English is her first language and she understands what you are saying.
Her pricing may seem to be on the higher end but when you look at how long her treaments last you are actually saving money.
