The A/C has been broken here for months. It was ok before the triple digit heat set in but now it is absolutely rediculous! There are 68inch stationary fans in the restaurant that you have to fight over with other patrons. I spoke with the owner and was a complete prick. I do not think it is safe to eat food from this establishment when the thermostat says 88 degrees. Would not recommend this place to anyone. If you look at the reviews there are several people reporting food poisoning. Don’t chance it!!!

could be great. decent beer and great setting for sports. Brought the family here and my kids wanted ranch dressing for their fries, got the bill and was charged for it. A $ 1 for the smallest side of ranch they could find. I know its only a buck but really!

This place has HANDSDOWN my favorite burger in the east bay. Most of the other burgers on the menu are really solid too. I just can’t break free of my traditional because it’s so addictive. My fave is the Blackjack Burger, cooked medium, and I request lettuce and tomato.(Normally it doesn’t come with veggies, and it a bit too rich for me without it.) It’s a cajun/blackened patty with massive flavor, carmelized onions, jack cheese, and blue cheese spread on a bun. Honestly it’s the one and only place where I enjoy onions… raw or cooked. I’m normally a fatass and indulge in a double patty too for a few bucks extra. Soooo freaking delicious and filling. The fries are also SUPER yummy. There’s nothing terrible special about them, besides them being plump, well cooked with a good balance of crunchy to soft texture, and salted just right. They’re delightful.

Just got word that this San Ramon site closed as of today. Too bad as this was the go to place on Tuesday night for group of friends. I hope what ever follows in it’s foot steps is as good.

The food was perfect. Though when a waiter takes your oder you always wonder. Well didn’t add the mushrooms, no mayo and wrong salad dressing. Wasn’t worth to complain. It was good food, cooked to perfection.

It wasn’t horrible is what a coworker said as a group of us left. I had the Cobb salad I think they used the wrong seasoning on the chicken or the chicken is leftover. The place is a little too dark during the day for a lunch crowd I think if they open the blinds a little and clean them it would help. They have a lot of TVs for games so I would come back for that. I know they are busy at night.

First time here not a bad place. Staff is very friendly and they have all of the NFL games on. I had biscuits and gravy and it was pretty good. I will come back next Sunday. Good atmosphere

Jack’s was open but most of the drafts were sold out. all brews made in house. HH on weekdays. is it a sports bar if a lot of flatscreens are tuned to sports? i guess so. little other sports memobilia seen. brew: india pale ale(6.45) 7.9% –really strong stuff. –beers have names with no hint of styles on draught: –HH, $ 1 off beers –lots of parking on weekends.

Beer is fine, food is kind of like pub stuff — fry, fry, fry. If you need a fix between errors or just have to see the game(many TVs).

I have been going to Jacks for many years. The beer is always good. I am an IPA guy so that it what I usually get but their other beers are good too. The food is pretty good but I think there are a few areas for improvement here so that is why I dinged them one star. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Great place to chill with a couple friends and have a beer in a relaxed setting. Overall, great place to go. I hope to keep coming here for many more years.

Good place to watch any game. This place is loaded with TVs. This is sort of like a sports bar/restaurant. They have a huge menu to choose from and not just typical bar food. I got the polish kielbasa. It was definitely loaded with sauerkraut!!! It was a plate made for two people! Haha. Beers were good! We had to apricot mango beer which was AMAZING! Service was so so because I felt as if she was rushing us. She brought the bill without asking if we wanted anything else. Overall I would definitely come back here.

Stopped in here for lunch. The service was OK. The beer was OK. Nothing really stood out to me. The burger was pretty good. OK place to stop in, have a drink, meet some friends, and maybe catch some thing on the TV.

D.A.B.(decent at best) is how I would describe this place. Food: not great and over priced Beer: not great and over priced Service: quick and professional. Not friendly. Atmosphere: great to watch a game on the many large screens and drink pitchers of beer. We ordered the chicken sandwich which sucked. The chicken wrap which was so small and sucked. The steak sandwich was ok and the nachos were good. For the same price and way better food and beer I recommend pete’s brass rail in Danville.

My girlfriend and I went in for lunch at 12PM. There was no one in the sitting area. There were about 5 guys at the bar. ½ hr later another party of 2 came in than another party of 6. It seemed like there was only one waitress there and the host/manager. Service was slow considering we had 2 hot teas than a grilled chicken sandwich and a chicken Caesar salad. A man came in after us and got his food before us which was the start of bummer. We asked where was our food since he got his. Our waitress went to check and out came our food. She said the sandwich took longer than the salad. Ok let’s go with that but… As we sat there(realize I do not have a strong sense of smell — so if I smell something — oh my), we started to smell a fish smell. My girlfriend said when we came in there was a strong odor of cleaner. I was blessed for not smelling the cleaner but I did smell the fish smell which was odd to say the least. So on to the food — I’m starting to eat than she gives a look. I’m like what. She says taste this — it was the grilled onions from her sandwich. Not that I drink this stuff on the side — the onions had a taste like Pine Sol. The host/manager came by to ask us how things went and I had to blurt out that her onions tasted funky. And, he’d probably want to check the batch. He went back and checked them. And indeed they had a taste. He didn’t charge for the sandwich but neither he nor the waitress said if there was anything they could do to make things better like other places would. I don’t know if it was because we were women who didn’t order beer but we just didn’t get served well. No offering for water. I got more hot water for my tea when she came back again to ask and she didn’t bring my girlfriend any — I mean hot water is essentially inexpensive plus given the Pine Sol onions. We wanted to support local, but this one we tried and won’t return. Going out to lunch should be a relaxing treat not an adventure like that.

Great for happy hour since 4 hungry girls descended on this place with a huge appetite! :-P They were so kind. When I ordered nachos with sour cream(which it comes with) on accident they made a special dish with out sour cream just to make sure my friend was happy — she hates any white sauce(little did I know). Good wine selection and great beer selections. The place has a Elk’s lodge feel, and would probably be a great place to watch sports if I was into that kind of thing :-P

The 90s called: they want their deep fried heart attack menu back. Everything here is deep fried except the burgers. The night I was here, most of the patrons were really overweight. I think Jack’s menu might have a role in that. Waitress was friendly, had the prepared bill in hand when she asked if we wanted dessert and it was on the table as soon as «no» left our lips. Beer was good but I need to drink more to be sure.

Been here quite a few times, we try to come during happy hour, and I always get the island chicken skewers. There always so delicious. There typical menu is a little on the pricey side, but the foods always better quality than I think it’s going to be, I got the chicken teriyaki stir-fry which was delicious. My dad got the burger, and he really liked the meat. Happy Hour is the best deal, so try to come then.

Dear Buffalo Chicken Salad Fairy, Thank you for sprinkling your Buffalo Chicken Fairy Dust Magic on Jack’s Brewing Company. I’ve never been so happy with fresh leafy greens, spicy and zesty buffalo chicken(grilled b/c I’m trying to be good somewhere) and all the fixings to make a completely delicious salad. Also please thanks your friend, the Kids Menu Fairy, because the last time I went with my friend and her sweet little baby – We got the grilled cheese kids meal for her and it was delicious also… plus I got to eat some of her fries because I so smartly swapped out the fried chicken for grilled. Oh and please give a shout out to the beer fairy(aka server/bartender). Service is consistent and I keep coming back. Your Fan, Robin L
