History

Established in 2001.

We started out building pools in Dixon California in February 2001 as California Heartland Pools & Spas. We later added the Landscape Contractor Classification to our license so we could accomplish the entire backyard project from start to finish and Alumawood Patio Covers were very successful part of that. Now we are here in the Arizona South East Valley serving Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Florence, Gilbert, Chandler and Mesa, Arizona

Business Owner

Ed’s career path began in 1974 at the age of 17 in the U.S. Navy Seabees as a heavy equipment operator. His military career of 17 years also includes time in the California Air National Guard as an aircraft mechanic as well as serving in the Air Force Reserve as a C-​5 flight engineer. During his military service, he has acquired several ribbons as well as the Air Force Achievement Medal.

Ed also has 15 years working in the earth moving industry as a heavy equipment operator and grade checker building streets, parking lots, overpasses, housing development subdivisions etc.

Ed founded California Heartland Inc. in 2002 with its beginnings as a swimming pool construction company. He later added a landscape division in order to be able to offer the full backyard conversion. Ed is now currently operating California Heartland Inc as California Heartland LLC here in Arizona under the Trade Names: Alumawood Shade Solutions and also Simply Natural Pools.
