Totally dig this movie theater. Just have to ding it one star because I went to see the new Star Wars movie here and I had an awful experience. I went to the bathroom before my showing and was molested in the bathroom by another man. This was weird because I am over six feet tall and weigh in at 250 pounds. The other man said that I asked for it because I was wearing cowboy boots. No joke. Must be a weird gay thing. Anyhow, I returned to the theater and the gay dude that just grabbed my ass while I was taking a leak was sitting on my same row. But get this, he was with his wife and four kids! Obviously still closeted.

Hands down my favorite theater in the area. I love the size, it has a wide selection of food, including a Cold Stone Creamery. Theaters are usually clean, the staff is always very friendly. The Megaplex rewards program is also a nice touch.
They also have Five Dollar Tuesday, which makes the house packed, but you can get a good deal for the family to go out.

I love Movies! I mean who doesn’t?! I also like food! This place is a great place to come grab a bite and go see a movie at Megaplex. There are a few restaurants there and a great movie theater with a lot of food and snack options inside. I like the location here, and I like that there is plenty of parking. Even during Christmas time and the parking is packed, you will find parking! Far parking indeed, but you will have a spot to park. I mean you can’t be that picky during the holidays, right!

Sandy, UT — Jordan Commons has excellent projectors, sound, and seating, that has been well kept over the years by its staff. Movies on Tuesdays allow you to experience their more expensive amenities at just $ 5.

We love to come here, especially for $ 5 Tuesdays. They keep the temp at a comfortable level, and there’s a great selection of movies.

I love the free popcorn and soda refills, but the prices are out there! Luckily the last time I was here it was due to winning tickets to see a new movie that had yet to be released, so price on tickets wasn’t a problem.
I do wish there was a better mopping solution for movie theaters because I really hate how sticky the floor are here. I know people spill but they have to come up with a way to mop the floors better between showings. I love the movie theater size and saw my first 3D movie here, very well put together, I actually enjoyed the 3D aspect of it all, which I didn’t think I would.

We love this theatre! You don’t see much teenagers go here which we like. And this is the only theatre that we know that let’s you bring in food! They have a lot of varieties inside you could choose from cold stone ice creams to junk food. It’s pretty big too! We love how Joe’s is right across it. After we eat we go and enjoy our movie. And the people that go and watch the same movies have respect and don’t lift up their feet and put it on your head! We hate how in Jordan Landing they do that!

I went again after a long time away from Joes. I miss it. We used to have one in Orem. I don’t know why they closed that one.
This time I went for lunch after a show at the Expo Center. The service was good, the food was not bad, but not as good as I remember.
The waitresses were all funked out with colored hair, nose rings, tattoos and such. That was a bit freaky. I’m not against that look, just doesn’t seem professional for customer facing staff.
I’ll go back. I missed the dancing and such. They didn’t do that while I was there, but the place was almost empty.

Teetering a bit on the brink of 3-​star territory, I’m giving old Larry H (rest his soul) the benefit of the doubt. Jordan Commons, in its entirety, is a group of restaurants and a movie theater in the middle of Sandy. It was built where the old Jordan High School (go Beetdiggers. no, I’m not making that up) used to be and carries an homage to the old school.
First, the good. It is pretty convenient, location wise. At least for south valley folks. Right on State Street, and there’s a ton of parking, lots of it covered. You may not get to park close to your final destination, but you’ll probably get a space.
It’s also home to a decent theater – Megaplex 17 At Jordan Commons (listed separately here on Unilocal). Reserved Stadium seating, IMAX, and lots of food options you can bring in to your flick.
But speaking of food, that’s where the fun ends. I’ve never really been too impressed with the food available here, both in-​theater options and the surrounding conglomeration of restaurants. It’s pretty much a chain dominated place. Right now you’ve got your Ruby River, Spaghettii Mama’s, and Joe’s Crab Shack. And then of course, The Mayan. Just look it up. Fun visually with in-​restaurant divers, but probably not winning cuisine awards.
Packed on weekends (the theater is reported to be one of the busiest in the country on big family movie weekends: think Harry Potter, etc.) and bustling on holidays. But if you’re looking to meet up with pals for a bite and flick, you really can’t beat the park-​and-​do-​it-​all approach.
