Limo Cycle

I have now done this twice and both times were excellent experiences. I had the same tour guide on both trips and he made the ride a lot of fun. HIGHLY recommend!

We had a lot of fun peddling around Sanford with a drink in our hands. Shout out to Jake (from State Farm) and Stephanie for being a great driver & bartender.

This was so fun!!! The afternoon pub crawl is a must for craft brew drinkers! Stopped at many of Sanford’s great craft brew bars. Steve was extremely hospitable and a great guide! Definitely will be back!

This is a great, unique and fun way to see Sanford, and enjoy some seriously delicuous bevs! Well worth it, would hihgky recommend for any special occassion! Note, go with 3 hours or more, as TIME FLIES when you have this much fun!!!

Lots of fun. Our tour guide — Steve — was really great and accommodating. As a picky alcohol drinker, I appreciated how some of the coupons could be used for liquor or beer. The stops were solid and it’s a nice way to tour downtown Sanford, too. You can also bring your own alcohol, but I found the stops were enough to get your alcohol fix.
Our stops were (in order): The Breezeway (beer/​liquor), Wops Hops (beer only — but good varied selection), West End (beer/​liquor — and 2 for 1 shots!), Celery City Craft (beer only). I noticed another reviewer had different stops, but I really liked ours.
Make sure to bring your own water! I recommend it with all the alcohol flying around ;)

Can’t say enough awesome things about Steve or LimoCyCle tours. We had such a great time and can’t wait to go back!

Have you heard of Limo Cycle? If not, that’s about to change!
We rented a 15-​person limo cycle for my birthday last Sunday and it was a great time! First off, you need to check the website and see the video to totally understand what this is. I still can’t totally explain it, and I’ve been on it! Essentially, it’s a 15-​person bike … but it looks like a long golf cart.
The Limo Cycle experience is BYOB (beer or wine, no glass) — and each ride has its own driver and bartender. Lauren, our bartender, was awesome. Unfortunately, I don’t remember our driver’s name (probably because our bartender was too good at her job ;)).
The Limo Cycle travels around downtown Sanford. There’s a suggested route, but you can also select your own bars. We went to Nemo’s (meh, too early for any action there), Willow Tree (did two boots and left), and finished at West End (2 for 1s on Sunday — you need to go here).
From my understanding, each rider pays $ 15/​hour and there’s a minimum of two hours for the rental. We did two hours on a Sunday at 12:30 p.m. It was hot, definitely — but there are also small personal fans and misters at each seat, so that helps. My boyfriend and I already decided we would be back … but likely in the fall.
One last thing I want to note: We had a 15 person bike, but there were actually only 10 pedals. Three of us sat in the back facing everyone, and the last two people at the «bar» part of the Limo Cycle didn’t have pedals. This wasn’t a deal breaker for us, but it wasn’t ideal. I never actually pedaled (birthday girl status!) … but those that did said it was very hard. The men were drenched in sweat and part of the reason we stopped was so they could rest. This isn’t a stroll in the park, so be prepared! There is no motor (to my knowledge), the driver steers and the people pedaling create the power.
Bottom line: This is a fun and unique way to spend a Saturday or Sunday. I highly recommend it!
