BAD SERVICE!!! Called ahead to see if they could come out and make a key for a car that I had lost the key for. They said it would be faster if I just gave them the vin Number and they would have it waiting for me right away if I came and picked it up. I told them I was a Dealer, and asked what I needed to bring. They told me to bring the Title. I drove to Santa Ana which took about 30 minutes. Showed up at a run down looking shop, went in and they had no idea who I was, and the key wasn’t waiting. The owner came out and looked at the paperwork I brought with, (I brought the Title AND Registration) and he said if its not in my name they can’t help me. Are you kidding? I explained all this to you on the phone. I’m a Dealer, and we don’t put cars in our name. He was Extremely rude. Could have gained a valuable customer. Anyways huge waste of time HORRIBLE customer service. Plenty of other Locksmith companies, I recommend staying away from this one.

Our daughter lost her only smart key to her Lexus 2010 IS250 on Memorial day. We called around but most dealers and locksmiths were closed except Advanced Lock & Key. Shaun showed up 20 minutes earlier than the appointment time to start working on the car while we were driving to the car location. By the time we got there, he completed his work and handed us the key. He walked us through the paperwork and show us how to submit it to AAA so we could get our $ 60 reimbursement for the key made. We saw some negative reviews. It must be some sort of misunderstanding or these reviews were meant for somewhere else. Before calling Shaun, we called AAA to request its service first but were told to contact dealers because no AAA approved locksmiths near us could program the key. AAA explained that we could have Advanced Lock & Key (NOT an AAA approved locksmith) to do the work then we sent in the receipt/​paperwork to AAA for the reimbursement (basic AAA membership covers $ 60 only). So this is not a scam, it is just the way AAA works. Hope this clears out some misunderstanding. Thank you very much Shaun for your work and service. It was awesome!

These guys are scammers. If you have AAA make sure you contact AAA directly to ensure this is an approved locksmith. They PRETEND to be AAA then tell you to submit a rebate through AAA. I called AAA and they had no records that they serviced me and said no rebate exists, discounts are given at the point of sale transaction. Long story short, avoid these locksmiths, and be skeptical of AAA contracted tow truck companies. They are all trying to benefit off AAA members by promising discounts that don’t exist and pocketing the extra money themselves. On top of being scammed, it took this thief over an hour to make me a key.

I needed a key cut and programmed for my brothers 2011 Mazda6. We called around to several different dealers, locksmiths, and mobile techs. On average, they all quoted around $ 250-​$ 359. I finally came across Advanced Lock and Key so I gave them a call. I spoke with Shaun (sp.) and he said that it would cost $ 150 to come out and take care of everything. Sure enough, about a half hour later, Shaun arrived and completed the service quickly and professionally. The service took about 25 minutes total. He even cut a free door key just to keep in case. After it was all said and done, it cost $ 162 including tax. I will never call a different locksmith again. Shaun is the man and Advanced is the place to go. Thanks again Shaun!

These guys really helped me out. I arrived wanting three keys cut and programmed and found out they’re the wrong ones. Nuts! They actually naught my keys from me and made and sold me the proper keys. All of them worked together and made it work great.

I lost my Honda Odyssey key and called the dealer to replace; it was a ridiculous price PLUS… I would have to tow my car over there. I called Advanced and Sean was at my door in minutes. He made us new keys and remote at 1⁄3 of the price the dealership wanted and he came to me! Plus Sean also fixed a difficult lock on our front door. I highly recommend Advanced. Very professional, courteous and quick.

His service was prompt and professional and the price saved me literally hundreds of dollars not to mention the hassles of towing my car to the Toyota dealer. What a quick response. The only key that I have to my Honda Civic broke and I lost key itself and still had the fob. Honda wanted $ 185 for a new key plus I would have to get the car towed to the dealership. Advanced was able to meet me at my car within a half hour and were able to reuse my fob electronics and provide a new key and fob case for just $ 162 and my AAA membership pays $ 150 of that. Glad I chose Advanced and not the Honda dealer.

DO NOT GO TO A DEALERSHIP FOR KEY FOB. I bought a used 07 Prius with one key from a dealer. Went straight to their parts/​service dept to get second key. They wanted 140 for key, 160 to program. Said no thanks. Got home, called around. Advanced was third place I called, and only one that, 1. had what I needed in stock (also asked them for a Scion xB key). 2. could come out same afternoon. Got both vehicles done for less than the dealer wanted for one. And they came to me, and were done in about 30 min.

I needed a replacement key/​remote for my car and when the dealer quoted me nearly $ 300.00 and told me I’d have to come down and wait «maybe an hour or so?» I started calling around. The price sounded ridiculous and I don’t have time to sit around for an undetermined amount of time to wait for a new key.
It took a couple calls to nail down an appointment with these guys, but it was well worth it. Their quote was about $ 100.00 cheaper, and they did the job at their shop in about 20 minutes total while I waited. And as a bonus, they were pleasant to deal with.
