Our fridge started to make a kind noise we called American appliance and set up an appointment for the next day to come out. They sent a technician named Henry who was on time and very helpful. He was informative when it came to explaining some of the problems that might be causing the fridge to act up for example the temperature settings in the fridge. He was very prompt with his work. He figured out the problem with no hassle and replaced our fridge with no problem! I was very appreciative of his professionalism and workmanship! Thank you Henry!

Our rental was in Brea, and Henry was our deliveryman. He is absolutely the BEST mover I have ever encountered. He took before/​after photos & extreme care in the moving process from beginning to end. When he first arrived and found that the fridge was going to be a tight fit in the doorway, he made several efforts to bring it in without additional disassembly. When we later realized that the door would have to be taken off, he efficiently did so without any complaint or frustration. He did everything quickly but carefully, and it’s clear that he is super experienced at what he does.
I am so impressed with the quality of the service and his friendly and upbeat attitude from beginning to end. He told us at the start that he treats every home he visits like his own, and that was truly evident in every action he took. He made what would have been a stressful day so much easier.

We are renting a fridge for our studio apartment. Robert was the dispatcher, he was knowledgeable and very helpful. Henry was out installer. He was extremely helpful and charismatic. Explained about a couple deals that we could use to save money, did all the work, showed us the temp regulations, cheerful, made sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend Henry and his service to my friends that are interested in renting appliances.

I hope my review saves you money!
My experience was awful with this company, first of all, the fridge was messed up and when I tried to change it, they gave me hard time, charged me and at the end they didn’t change it.
Second, this company just takes you money and no service or good product in return, they over charged me, every time I called to speak to someone, I was on hold for at least 45 min and when I asked to talk to manager, she was busy, they told me that the manager would call me, 20 days later, still no call, I called back to see what happen to manager they put me on hold for 30 min and came back saying there is no manager available right now
This company is a joke
Save your money and just buy a fridge, believe me you save more money that way
I can’t believe this company is doing business with this kind of awful and horrible customer service

Very impressed with American. Henry just came out today and installed a washer /​dryer set at my new home and was very courteous, efficient and prompt. I worked with Maricella when I set up the account and she was great to work with, as well. She followed up on many of my questions and was very thorough, professional and helpful. Very good staff, great service and overall 5 stars~~ I highly recommend this company!

its was very great the beginning coz your signing up for a new contract after that waiting for the next available customer service for the billing department takes FOREVER or your CaLL will be DROP, thinking that they should be faster coz its billing. then i tried to chose the option to order a service BOOM! 1 ring there goes the customer service and his in the hurry to help me. i guess his busy or working by himself but thats not an excuse for the kind of service. im giving my notice to return their appliances.

Like I said before, this place is a anything but customer service based, allow me to update you.
On Christmas day I realized the fridge wasn’t cooling. Everything I bought to prepare Christmas dinner was ruined. So I called the following day. Guess when I was provided a replacement. More than 3 weeks later. During my battling with the company very disturbing issues were brought to light. One, they refuse to let you speak to management. Only «customer service». Two, ask for an invoice and you’ll be told no. Yep, they’ll charge you for who knows what and you’ll receive absolutely no documentation to prove they aren’t charging you fraudulently. Three, once you get a replacement fridge it will smell like a dead rat, and buzz louder than your microwave day an night. The delivery man will damage your carpet and not replace anything he moved. Vanessa has been nothing but customer service focused and I gag every time I hear year their recording «customer service is our biggest asset»
American Appliance you are by far the most disgusting company I’ve ever dealt with.

Just had my fridge picked up. Henry was great! Everything went super fast and smooth. Not to mention setting up a pickup time was easy too. I just called and they scheduled it for the next day. Awesome experience with this company. I would highly recommend them.

I was having problems with my washer just two days ago on Sunday. I went online yesterday to request a repair service and received a phone call a few hours later to schedule an appointment. They were able to accommodate my schedule so I wouldn’t have to skip out of work early and told me they would give me a courtesy call 30 minutes before the service technician would arrive. That worked perfectly for me since it allowed me to stay at work as needed since I only live about 20 minutes away.
Henry was the technician that serviced my washer and dryer and he was very courteous and professional. He took a look at my washer and determined that it couldn’t be repaired but said he could replace it. To my surprise he already had one available to replace immediately which was a relief for me so I did not need to set another appointment! He was very careful when removing and replacing the W/​D to not damage my door or the floors. When he was done he had me confirm that the appliance was running smoothly and showed me how to work the Whirlpool since my previous appliance was a GE.
Thank you American Appliance and Henry for making this such a stress free experience! I am glad I didn’t have to wait more than two days to start doing my laundry again.

HENRY was very fast and professional. Hauled away my old fridge and brought in a newer (already cold) one in about 15 mins (I don’t have any stairs)
This company runs off… reduce*reuse*recycle. Which I am totally for and with that comes some dents and dings. I think it’s a genius company that is very polite and affordable. I’m very fortunate to have a working CLEAN fridge that won’t go in a hole in the ground when I’m done with it but to be rebuilt and last for another 10+ years. Will definitely recommend to anyone! Also, if something does happen to your rental they will come by and replace it! I mean come on. you can’t lose.
P.S I also am renting a washer/​dryer system from them and love it…
P. S.S for all those tiny dings other customers are complaining about throw a picture or a magnet up… Who likes a plain fridge anyway?

I am a first time renter and have only had the refrigerator for a few weeks, but so far I have nothing to complain about! I was concerned about the installation because there is no elevator in my building and I am on the 3rd floor, but Ramon was great & was able to get the fridge up the stairs and into my tiny kitchen. The dings/​dents on the fridge are very few and very minor (nothing incredibly obvious), and those dings are to be expected because the fridge rentals are used! Duh!
Ramon was very friendly, as well as informative and through when explaining the rental agreement & how to care for my fridge. Great customer service and quick installment!
Very happy with my decision to rent a fridge with this company.

I was contacted by Vanessa at American Appliance after writing this review. I was livid after needing to have my fridge replaced for the third time plus the washer was replaced once.
Vanessa and the staff (I’ve spoken to Marisela often and she’s always been very professional and polite) were friendly and sympathetic to my situation. Originally, she offered me a $ 75 credit which I didn’t feel was sufficient after throwing away a freezer and fridge full of food but she informed me a little later that she was able to offer me a $ 150 credit.
I appreciate her reaching out to me and providing great customer service so I am changing my rating with a few points that I feel the company should still strive to improve upon.
* used appliances should be fully inspected before delivery
* the current fridge I’m renting is new and required a 6 month lease, I don’t think this should be a hard and fast rule especially for customers like me who had previous problems with the used units and needed to switch to brand new
*extension of hours, I was not able to reach them over the weekend, so my fridge/​freezer of food continued to thaw out over the weekend
If those points can be attended to, I feel this company could be great.
The new fridge seems to be running without any issues and I’m satisfied with it so far.
No issues with the delivery or drivers either, the drivers are always prompt and friendly and scheduling appointments is easy.
