History

Established in 1999.

We began in the car stereo business and then migrated into all sorts of new and smart technologies. We later became a licensed C#10 (electrical) contractor and entered the world of residential and commercial Audio/​Video installation and sales. After some years in those areas our natural trajectory has led us to become a full service and licensed alarm company. We are experts in various related technology service areas extending from surveillance and alarms all the way into IT services.

We have been installing all sorts of audio video and security systems in the market for over 15 years. From custom home theater to conference rooms to networking, we have done it see it fix it and made it work.

We have a staff of 10 associates and a combine experience of over 75 years in the electronics field.

Most knowledgeable, best customer service and best value of all three groups we quoted/​worked with in this last year.

They diagnosed the issues, made excellent recommendations paying attention to pros, cons and value options. They showed competence, problem solving and ethics.
Not once did we feel up-​sold, but they did offer some great picture improving devices and sound optimizing ideas. Another different company tried to upsell us and their solutions were not all that different but definitely more expensive. A third group we used initially because they did the original house AV install. This other group (not the one reviewed) based in Santa Maria were horrible… but that is another review.
Audio Pro James and Abe are honest, fair in business and bring both their positive know how and acumen to their work. All of their staff were great. They all went the extra mile at times, helping me carry other speakers and they even helped me stage, position and estimate what to sell my other speakers for in addition to how and where. They went above and beyond!
When there were a few glitches, they immediately came back under warranty work and took care of it. They explained what happened and why and what the solution was. They treated us respectfully and informed us vs dismissing us. Way to Go Audio Pro! Recommend you HIGHLY! And many thanks for your patience, your service, your solutions and your kindness going the extra mile.

James and his assistant Francisco assessed our various requests (we have two large Theaters that needed upgrading to ‘Smart TV’s and projectors) and other needed improvements to our 400 person community. We are so lucky to have James and his crew to call on when (of course) something WE did messed up our new system! They came right out THREE times to show us how to reset the system, use it to it’s full potential, and train our staff. They are truly a class act; showing up on time, pleasant as can be, knowlegeable and courteous. They brought my staff into the 21st century regarding AV equipment. It’s nice to know customer service is their highest goal.

Hats off to Performance Audio team… they cater to the customers desires and execute with efficiency and professionalism. I had much of the hard wiring in place and they worked within the existing structure to provide the best Audio/​Video/​Alarm set up possible. When reasonably necessary, they upgraded wiring accordingly. Furthermore, their team was onsite with my wife and baby during the day and were respectful, courteous, informative and polite. They went above and beyond in teaching her the knew components and fulfilling her request.
And they are up front about the types of products they sell you and why. They dumb it down very well for a guy like me who knows nothing about the right speaker, amp or receiver.
I will keep working with these guys for any A/​V/​Alarm job that is required. Great company and great work.

The owner of the business, James, contacted me regarding the issues with the former manager and person I had been dealing with. James offered his sincere apologies and also refunded the amount in question via a check delivered to me. While that check has not yet cleared my bank, I feel that assuming that it does, James has met his obligations as a business owner, has taken the correct steps to correct his customer service problems, has retained the excellent technicians he employes and therefore I am once again a happy and satisfied customer of Performance Audio, which at the end of the day was exactly what I had been hoping would be the result. I now feel comfortable recommending Performance Audio and I am happy that once again, there is a local company that I can deal with and rely upon to stand behind their products and their service.

I just had my house done with hidden speakers a total control system. James and his staff at Performance audio were so easy to work with. Clean and great work. I am loving my Sonos music through out the house. I would and have recomended them to my friends. We are using Sonos to play pandora through out our house for friends and family all the time. Top notch.
