The Czech Man Tree Service

I was initially contacting The Czech Man Tree Service, but Sheri from Blue Ox Tree Service came to me instead. Sheri told me they are taking care of the The Czech Man Tree’s business now.
Their work really exceeds my expectation and my neighbor’s. Unlike some tree service providers who keep talking and talking (even unrelated to the service) to try to get your work, Sheri is very professional during the initial estimate. She looked at the trees carefully, replied to my questions and quickly gave the quote, which was very competitive. In a few days, Sheri came with 3 other members to get the work done: removing a dying tree in my backyard, trimming two palm trees in the front yard and making them really clean.
I’ll definitely contact them for my next tree work.

I called the Czech Man Tree Service and John answered back pretty promptly. He came the next day and did a free estimate giving us a price that beat the other 3 bids. I called him back and he came the next week with a crew to cut down our tree, gave us firewood and cleaned up pretty well. He said then that someone would call me to schedule the stump removal. That never happened. I called John back several times over the last 2 weeks without a call back. It does puzzle me as he was very responsive and did a great job with cutting down the tree, just no follow through on the stump removal. Perhaps the ball was dropped on the stump remover’s side? Anyway, unfortunately, not the best experience.

Excellent job done. Highly recommended. His quote is very competing, but the service is excellent. Remove the tree in 3 hours and left the yard clean.

I used this tree service to remove a large tree and prune a couple of other big trees. They did a superb job, were prompt and efficient. They also cleaned up my yard and driveway very well, and were friendly and easy to talk to. Additionally, their price was reasonable. I highly recommend Radek and his company for your tree service needs.

Excellent all around. Arrived on time for estimate, came in under the competing bids, performed the service in a timely fashion, left the yard clean with firewood stacked. I highly recommend Radek.

The Czech Man Tree service is the 3^rd company we called for an estimate to remove two redwood trees and trim some other trees. We gave Radek the job on the spot because of his sincere altitude and reasonable price. Radek and his team like to do the rock climbing. Therefore, they have the equipment and skills to finish the job in very short time. They cut down a 60ft tree in an hour or so. The entire job only took two half days. We are very impressed.
They also removed a couple of stumps without extra charges.

All the Unilocal reviews are right. The Czech Man came out for an estimate and provided a ton of advice on our existing trees and how to even make things easier to maintain. The price was great, they showed up on time, and did an awesome job! Could not have asked for a better or easier experience. We will definitely use them in the future.

We found the Czech Man on Unilocal searching for a tree service that could remove a couple of broken off limbs and trim the tree, a large cedar in front of our house, properly. Radek explained what should be done and gave us a very good quote, so we made an appointment. He was concerned that the two broken off limbs could fall and cause more damage, so he managed to open an earlier appointment for us to make sure that that would not happen.
The crew arrived punctually and did a great job trimming the tree. The tree looks a lot healthier now. They also cleaned up the yard thoroughly. We are both very happy with their work and recommend them wholeheartedly.

Excellent. Came on time and did a good job with my palm tree. Price was reasonable and less than what others had quoted. Although his clean up and dump fee was higher than I had expected. Came on time and finished the job perfectly. Very impressed with the work.

I would give this business 6 stars if I could. They were that good.
We were referred to Czech Man by another tree service who wasn’t available at short notice. A big tree had fallen in the middle of the night, landing on our roof and taking out our power. Radek from Czech Man showed up within about an hour of our first phone call to give us an estimate, which was surprisingly reasonable — lower than we expected. Radek also gave us some free advice about some other trees in our yard while he was here.
He had a crew out later in the day and the tree was down in plenty of time for PG&E to come and reconnect our power. The next day the crew returned to chop up and haul away all the wood leaving our yard spotless. A couple of days later they came back to grind the stump, which seemed to have magically disappeared like there was never a tree there.
Prompt, responsible, friendly, high quality, inexpensive service at amazingly short notice. I’d hire this company again in a heartbeat.

Radek is a true professional. He was prompt, courteous, and his price is highly competitive. I highly recommend him for all your tree service needs.

Easy to review:
Czechman Radek did a good job at a reasonable price.
He may not be the cheapest or most competitive in pricing, but
he’ll at least be honest and tell you when you need work done,
and likewise, when not to do so, or when to hold off.
That rates high in my book and it should in your book as well.
The quality of his work thus far looks good and I will consider using him again.

Excellent! It is such a pleasure to work with a company who answers their phone, does what they say are going to when they are going to do it, and overall just seems to go that extra little distance to make the experience a wow! That type of service is so unusual these days that — AWESOME seems to sum it up perfectly! Good prices, excellent service!

Showed up to give initial quote on time.
Very knowledgeable about trees and educated me more than other tree care professionals about the tree types we have, what the trees need to remain healthy, how best to approach the project, etc
When selected for the work he showed up on time and his team completed the work on the days he estimated.
Did a great job on removing 3 very, very tall trees which were along our property line and close to our neighbors’ homes. With the large trees so close to our neighbors homes the team carefully removed them piece by piece so as not to damage our neighbors’ homes or the fencing. His team also thinned out other tress at both my home and at a rental property we own.
We have had several tree services over the years do work for us but I have to say his was by far the best overall.
I highly recommend him.

Radek did a great job with the trees in our yard. We have a huge redwood tree in our front yard and he trimmed it with a very natural look.
He came in for a quote on the first day and then showed up the next time to actually do the job. Along the way he gave plenty of useful suggestions including to hold off trimming the redwood tree in our backyard.
His prices are very reasonable and far below what others quoted us.

If that were the case, how do you explain NOT RETURNING my call when I left messages asking where he was? I think anyone would agree, a courtesy call to say I can’t make it would’ve sufficed.

Thank you for proving my point-​He was too busy to take care of his potential customer. ok. fine. Then call me the next day, or even later that week to follow up. But to NEVER respond and to try and apologize MONTHS later on Unilocal after I give an honest review. Unacceptable.

I did see in all the other reviews, which is why I gave him a call to begin with.
If you’re too busy to take on new clients, say so — at least I would’ve respected that. In a response below to La C. you even say you’re too busy to return calls. Then I suggest you get a list of people you can refer business to or at least say on your outgoing voicemail to email you instead, so nice people like me don’t end up wasting my time waiting on you and end up disappointed.

Radek is an honest, hardworking guy. We had 2 palms, a large pine, an olive tree, and 3 or 4 other smallish trees. He easily beat all other quotes that we got.
He showed up the morning of with his crew and had all the trees cut down and the stumps ground down by the end of the day.
He also showed up a few days afterwards to replace some parts of our watering system that got damaged (we didn’t know that had happened until he pointed it out to us. Honest!). He also pointed out some issues with our pipes that he noticed while working in our back yard.
Fair price, good work, and honest. Not much else you can ask for. We’ll definitely be using him again.

I am not someone that easily gives compliment (see my other posts).
Could not ask for more — Radek gave 200% or 300% on my tree cutting job.
He is one of the few good honest men left in today’s world esp. silicon valley.
To make a long story short — our tree fell in the first major winter storm. When removing the tree, Radek accidentally broke the underground sprinkler pipes. He then came to fix the pipes. But somehow dirt and other stuffs clogged the pipes from subsequent storms. Radek came again to flush out the clogs. I had to work with him for 3 hours to fix the problem — you can hardly find such responsible person.
Kudo to Radek — he will have all my future tree services biz.
I would highly recommend Radek — his price is very reasonable.

Radek did an awesome job removing three trees AND a wall of ivy. He is trustworthy, fair, and reasonably priced. My home has a wooden deck into the yard, and he was very careful in bringing his stump remover (which is incredibly heavily) over the deck and down the stairs. There was no damage to the deck or stairs.
We will be asking Radek to come back to trim our trees in the fall /​winter.
