2.5 stars… I came with 4 other ladies after visiting The Gentle Barn and this place was recommended by a local. Everyone else enjoyed their food. I was torn between ordering the carnitas and the enchiladas and ordered carnitas based on the waiter’s recommendation that it’s one of the best dishes in the restaurant. My carnitas was dry, dry, dry. Yuck! My Margarita was really good, too bad I didn’t order the enchiladas… Seems like the food is typical Americanized Mexican food.

They sure treated this Mom right on mother’s day, with a dollar margarita and a free flan, plus a great meal. We had a really nice waiter named George. In fact all the staff was really nice. Great salsas, cheese enchiladas, chips and burritos.

My boyfriend and I went here after a not so good experience at a different Mexican restaurant. Casa Vieja is about a 5 minute drive from my house yet I have never been here until yesterday. Can I just say how awesome and amazing this place is? The décor had me in awe the whole time and the very friendly waiter Manuel made sure we were taken care of. I really really enjoyed coming here. The food were large portions and delicious. This restaurant gives off that authentic Mexican vibe and I cannot wait to go back to try the fiesta platter and Cadillac margarita. They really make you feel at home and I love how I was interacting with all the employees in Spanish. Trust me you will love it here. Highly recommend this place especially for anyone looking for a happy hour spot!

Went for dinner here during their «Happy Hour» time. The happy hour margaritas (classic $ 4.50 or strawberry $ 4.95) were a generous size. Price valued happy hour appetizers too. Chips and salsa — okay. I like the ambiance of the restaurant. And the restaurant is very well kept and clean. Love that they have a fully stock bar as we are limited on this side of SCV to full service restaurants.
I highly recommend this as a happy hour spot. Dinner was okay too.

Carne asada tacos are unreal! My wife and sisters loved the grilled veggies and fajitas! 5 stars with ice cold beer!
The food portions are enough to fill you up and then some.

Not a single star can I give this place. Never have I been robbed of my hard earned money. There is nothing special about this place… NOTHING! I paid my bill half cash and half card. My card was charged the full amount. Upon checking my bank account and realizing I was charged the full amount (cash was pocketed) I went back in to talk to the server. He tried to explain to me what he had done. Literally lying to my face. I had just checked my bank account. I then went to the owner who defended her obvious lying employee. Never will I go again and be warned if you’re a hard working citizen in the community!

This place is amazing. Their food is delicious, service is outstanding and the atmosphere is just perfect. Chips and salsa are delicious, mango margarita hit the spot and their shrimp fajitas are to die for. They offer a good kids menu and my kids loved their chicken fingers. My husband had the mazatlan enchiladas and omg just order them and you will see.

We love this place so much we are going there RIGHT NOW! They are very crowded for dinner, especially with the pizza place next door, people are coming over to their parking lot and using it too. Grrrrr. But, this place is worth the wait, the food and service is wonderful! Everyone is fast and they work SO hard. Excellent bar too, we love their margaritas! Come join us tonight!
Oh PS, they take RESERVATIONS, so do it!

I only leave reviews if my experiences are awesome or terrible. Let me start by saying this restaurant is AWESOME on so many levels!!! First, the food is yummy. Second, the service is always great, and last but not least, I learned that the owners work with the schools to allow some of the underprivileged or special needs kids work and get on the job experience. Today I witnessed the true dedication and humility of the owners and was taken back that there are still kind humans on this planet who care for others and give these kids a chance. A young (appeared to be autistic) boy was working this evening and was given the chance to be a contributor and have meaning in this cruel society and all because Casa Vieja ownership said yes! This is officially my favorite restaurant in SCV!

Went back with a group of 17 on Sunday afternoon. They were able to accommodate right away. The server, Jorge, was on top of everything and everyone in the party had no complaints about the service or the food.
My wife and I split the chicken fajitas (they have two sizes but we ordered just the regular) and then I told her we should get a couple of chicken enchiladas in case there wasn’t enough food… didn’t have to worry about that because the fajitas could have easily filled us up… but hey I’m not one to let food go to waste (get in my belly mr. enchilada)…Both dishes were very flavorful and cooked just right.
Again a good experience without killing my budget, but I didn’t take any pictures because the ones that I had were just too dark and I hate using flash in a restaurant.

This place is legit. We are from Las Vegas, but my brother lives in the area and we asked him if he could recommend a good Mexican restaurant. He highly recommended Casa Vieja… and oh man this place was awesome. The food was excellent and the service was just as good; the owners are super nice. From now on, everytime we are in Santa Clarita, this is going to be our go to place for Mexican food. I highly recommend the carnitas and the enchiladas. The margaritas are delicious as well.

This place is right on in every aspect! Their service is immaculate. The staff is extremely friendly. The owners are so awesome! Thank you Eliseo & Lilia! They make you feel like you’re at home. Food, drinks, and ambiance are top notch. Margaritas and enchiladas were my choice of the night, delicious. 5 stars for 5 star service & food!

I am rating with 5 Stars because the service and friendliness of the staff was spot on. The customary chips and salsa was served promptly with my Iced Tea order. Chips could have been a bit warmer, but salsa made up for it. As I wanted to do a tasting to delivery a well rounded review, I ordered the Carne tampiqueña, a crispy Chicken Taco and a Chicken Enchilada Suiza. The Taco was simple, but braised chicken was flavorful and taco shell fresh and crispy. The Enchilada Suiza was well done and the Guacamole A+. The Tampiqueña was beautifully plated. A little well done for my taste, however the sauce and fresh ingredients made up for it. Very flavorful Beans & Rice. The only regret was that a house salad was not offered with the Tampiqueña. Yadira my waitress did and outstanding job and I recommend asking for her.
All in all, I will return again.

I met with a new client early lunch at this restaurant it is located in Canyon Country (Santa Clarita Valley), on Soledad Canyon Road, across the street from the Post Office.
It had a very nice Mexican restaurant feel to it. Before I knew it I had chips and salsa and a menu.
It was early so we had the place to ourselves for a while.
my customer ordered the tilapia ceviche, served with fresh avocados and steaming tortillas it looked great.
I got the combo plate with two chicken enchiladas, the enchiladas had chicken, cheese celery and onions inside nice taste combo! It was served with rice and Beans the rice was standard Spanish rice I didn’t eat the beans, never do.
Everything was fresh made and took a bit longer but not to the annoying point but the freshness showed.
The chips and salsa were very good too, had a nice little cilantro finish on it
the staff and service was great and the food was better!

The food is fantastic! We’ve never had a bad meal here — and even my crazy off menu request is handled professionally, and prepared perfectly! The prices are (mostly) great. The ambiance, well– it can get a lot loud since the bar is directly in the middle of the restaurant, — and the service can sometimes be a little meh– depending how busy they are BUT they have a couple servers we really enjoy and again, the food is Totally worth it!

We’ve been coming here for more than seven years. We love the food and their drinks. The price is reasonable. Get the fiesta platter to start with. They have different flavors of margarita. Ceviche is good. Different types of tacos and tempequena are delicious also. Staff is very nice and accommodating.
We never get tired of coming here. We’re here at least once a week.
