I really should’ve written this review some time ago. But here it goes. I first emailed Mike and he responded promptly and was very informative over email. I then decided to stop by the store to take a look around. By this time I had already scoped out Lowe’s and Home Depot for the right type of doors. Mike game me such a great amount of education on the species of wood and what to look for even if I didn’t buy a door with him. His prices were competitive with the big box stores except for the installation, which he contracts with a professional door installer. After further research, I found more information on the gentleman he uses and YES this guy is the real deal. You get what you pay for. My wife and I opted to hold off on getting our door for now but when the time comes we will stop by Rita’s for a custard and a=walk over to Mike’s for our door. Keep it up Mike.

Mike was very honest and professional! He provided our home with an amazing door and the service was excellent! I hope to use his services in the future for more doors!

Mike’s Windows & Doors is simply the best window and door option in the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond. Mike is as honest as they come and his installer, Jamie, is the finest craftsman we have ever experienced. We previously preferred another established window and glass contractor in town but after finding that their quote was some 15% higher than Mike’s and their quote was not at all detailed — simply a lump sum, including windows/​doors, installation, delivery and tax — we made the wise decision to place our trust in Mike. When Mike prepares his quotes, he uses line-​item pricing so the customer knows exactly what each window and door will cost, what the associated installation cost will be and what the tax amount is on the materials. Plus, there are no delivery charges tacked on by Mike as our previously preferred retailer added. We selected Mike and had Jamie install 24 windows and 6 pairs of French doors. The installation took two days for the windows and two days for the doors. After (and during) each day, everything was cleaned to perfection. All existing materials were removed from our home to be recycled. If you desire honest personal attention — from purchase to installation — you will want to seriously consider Mike’s Windows & Doors for your home update.

Just had all of my windows replaced. Mike and his installer Jamie were great. When we called Mike, he came to our home the next day to measure our windows and give us an estimate. He was timely and there was absolutely no pressure. He answered all of our questions and was never pushy. We really appreciated that. Jamie and his assistant were personable and efficient. Not to mention very neat. They did a great job on our windows.
I would highly recommend Mikes Windows & Doors.

Late update but Mike fixed my doors and it is perfect now. Mike went through hoops to try to make it right. We had a rough time but in the end, I had a functioning and esthetically pleasing double front doors. I revised the review to 4 stars as I do recognize that he truly meant well and will not quit until the job is done right. Minus one star still as this was not a perfect transaction from the getgo.

Mike is a very personalable guy but unfortunately the work quality is completely unacceptable. We hired him to install a double entry door and it has taken almost one year and still unfinished. I have given him 3 months notice to finish my front door by Thanksgiving after more than 6 months of fiddling, fixing all the mistakes, and I finally have to sit here and write this review on Thanksgiving eve. There is a hugh difference between «hanging a door up» and «install» a door and apparently the guy has no clue. It appears as if the guy is still learning how to install double front doors. First, he cut the floor tiles unevenly where one side is ¼” and the other side is almost 1″ and attempted to fill in with grout. Luckily I had extra tiles as I bought the house newly built. I had to tell him that it is unacceptable and he has to replace it. Next, he drilled the holes to hold the door too big so the doors are not solidly held, they both rattle with just the wind blowing. He fiddled to try to make the holes smaller so at least the wind won’t blow the doors rattling. Next, the frames were almost closed up hollow but luckily I caught it and he filled the frame. It would have made the door so flimsy and noisy if the frame was hollow, acting like a drum. Next, the stucco and paint around the frame was left with holes as large as 3″ and as deep as 1″. Again, I had to tell him and after days doing and redoing, he fixed the hole that should take a normal installer 1 time, automatically. Next, the edges of the frame were way off and don’t fit together, leaving gaps. I have no problem if he knows that and automatically fix it. In this case, again, I had to point it out and he filled the gap so it is not visible. Next, the paint around the frame were messed up. My ceiling and wall has texture and again, I had to complain and it took many trips for him to fix it. Next, he broke my wall water fountain and after gluing it back, he left the electrical wire running outside the water fountain. He promised to fix it once he comes back and fix everthing else, hasn’t happened to date. Next, after the installation, the doors have 2 holes, one on top and one on the bottom that I can see the stree if I stand inside. I explained that a front door is to sealout elements so bugs don’t come in. My house is also the new thermo-​efficient home so the doors can not have holes like that. After days, he finally sealed it with some rubber pieces. As of date, he still has not installed the correct lower frame piece to keep the door from rattling. One door still is stuck, difficult to open.
I mean, the list goes on and on that I am getting tired typing. EVERYTHING that could go wrong, he had done it worse. And today, he didn’t keep his promise to come finish the work. This is the final straw.
Avoid this guy at all cost. My contract for the door was more than $ 5,000 if you are wondering. Sorry for the long post but I wanted you to not deal with the headache like I had.

I predict this place being closed or out of business within a year!
I was hoping for a third quote for a remodel on our kitchen from these people. However, I have stopped by showroom on Bouquet Canyon road four (4) different days and times during normal business hours (as posted on their window) and these people have never been there.
If Mike’s Windows and Doors is too lazy or flaky to be at their showroom when they say they will be there, how can I trust that they would show up for a remodel job?
I guess our kitchen remodel will go to one of the other contractors.
