Beautiful bike shop. This is the nicest store I have been to in the LA area. The staff are very nice and they have a lot of high end S-​works specialized bikes as well as nicer clothing and accessories. Many stores cater to beginner cyclists and have entry level gear but this place delivers with Castelli apparel and other high-​end brands. They have a private lot to park in and their service department is quick.

I have been going to this bike store for 20years. This weekend I brought 2 bicycles in to the shop to have some work done, nothing major swap pedals repair broken chain and fill tires with tubeless tire fill sealant. When I paid I was shocked only $ 7. Fred still owns the place and has always ran a professional business. Great place friendly staff and knowledgeable.

There were couple things that I did not like, but i ain’t focus on that, no big deal! I took my Diamond Back Overdrive for brakes adjustment I got a call next day to have the bike picked up when I realized the brakes were still kind of loose so I spoke to Jaime who listen to my concerns an here is when the good experience begun! Jaime is an honest individual with his work who I can tell put the best of his skills at work and I say this ’cause I am a perfectionist as well! Jaime is a great technician for your organization. Overall good experience!

Once again they were awesome to me. I had squeaky brakes on my new mountain bike that were driving me nuts, well they fixed that issue no problem.

Nice place, very well stocked, polite and knowledgeable staff. This is not Performance Bicycle.

I had been looking to replace my rusty, worn out 30 year old bike for a while and had visited several bike shops but nothing clicked until I came to Performance Cyclery in Valencia. They had a really good selection of bikes and the people were so patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. In a short time, they guided me toward the right bike for me. Next day, I bought the bike and love it ! So happy I went there.

Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Eager to help and honest. Went to fix a broken dérailleur ended up having them do it. The job was done right there while I waited. I ended up leaving another bike there to have work done on it.
I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

My Son and I have gone to this bike shop at least 5 times without buying a thing; only to ask them a thousand questions and test riding countless bikes. Not once did Megan nor Andrew get annoyed with us. In fact they are some of the warmest people I’ve met. They made us feel comfortable and welcomed. The day finally came when we decided on the bike to get and Cindy really worked with us. She made sure we walked out of there happy and satisfied. I can’t tell you enough how great the team here is. They really go the extra mile to help you. One last shout out goes to Bobby for fitting my Son into his brand new road bike, really patient and a great willingness to help.

This review pertains the the service are only. I walked in for service on my bike around 11 am on a Monday. It was not particularly busy. There were several employees behind the counter. I stood there holding my bike for about 5 minutes without even a single acknowledgement from any of the several employees present. I walked out. Disappointed!

Wanted to share my great experience at the shop. Had an ongoing issue with my breaks on my newer bike, I’ll make it short; they contacted the bike rep and to my delight the whole break systems were upgraded and replaced. Friendly service always.

I took my MTB here for a deluxe tune up and was told the bike would be completely washed, dismantled and lubed, which was what I paid for. Well when I was called to pick up the bike close to a week later it still was not clean. I mean even the seat post clamp had dirt still in it??? As did the entire bike! I mean the more I looked at it, the more dirt I found. It appeared as if they hosed it off and air dried the bike. There are some nice people working here but I have little to say for the service my MTB received here. I’ll go else where for service!

Great store! Purchased my first road bike here and the staff is very knowledgeable about the bikes they sell. Will be going back to purchase a mountain bike soon!

All last year I was constantly checking out bikes at this place. All the workers have been really cool about helping me find the right bike (well one female worker asked for my ID before testing out one of the bikes, I guess she thought I might take off and leave my truck behind?!). 2015, I decided it was time to make the purchase and Cindy was very helpful. I picked the ride that was in my price range and I am very happy with my new Specialized Crosstrail (This bike is perfect for SCV, road and dirt trails). Accessories are a bit on the pricey side but if you buy at the same time as your bike purchase they will give you a nice discount.

I love this place, I bought my first MTB there and walked away very happy, they took their time with me and got the bike I was looking for. I stopped by again today looking for a light to start riding at night. I ran into Megan and she was super knowledgeable about all the lights they had in stock. Showed me the difference with all the lights and the lumens they put out. Thank you Megan, I was very happy with my purchase.

Megan is great! We took up a lot of her time this morning and didn’t walk out with a bike, yet she was still professional about it. (I’ve had people turn completely rude after not making a purchase — at other places)

Got my tube changed for only a few dollars and in just a few minutes. The young man who helped also made a good recommendation for a chain/​gear lube that is working quite well. I’ll be back for service again.

I have purchased several bikes from Performance Cyclery throughout the years.
They have always helped me with any questions. Some of the people who work there have been in the bike industry a long time and have alot of knowledge to offer you and help you with your bike selection.
I would highly recommend this bike shop to any of my friends and family.

I visited a number of times, but I have never bought anything until Memorial Day. They had a sale that weekend and also a number of marked down apparel. I got to try on a few of those items and ended up with Castelli bib shorts for $ 99 and jersey for $ 48 what a great deal that was.
Customer service was decent, I inquired about bike fitting service & not everyone knew all the details so I had to ask 3 separate associates. No big deal though I got the answer I needed.
The store lay out is good except if you want to see up close any bike that are on the middle and top racks you have to hunt down an associate, which is not always easy specially if staff is low or they are busy with other customers. It is a specialized and Cannondale dealer so that is what they stock & they do it very well. Awesome selection of accessories, cycling apparel, parts and all things related to bicycles.
Service department looks always busy so expect to wait to be helped, fortunately I am mechanically savvy with bikes so I never had to use there service. I suggest you give them a try and judge for your self how they really stack up with their bike service.
Overall it was a good experience the four stars will do for now until I make more visits to the store and really experience what they have to offer.

Our experience with their services department was a good and bad experience. On the good side, they did a great job on my most vexing problem, a bent dérailleur/​hanger. However, they missed details on the tune before I arrived: The brakes dragged on both wheels, both tires were at 20% inflation. My wife’s bike had similar issues. On the good side, they provided a pump and they worked on the bike while we waited.
During that time, we saw the interaction between a service manager and technicians. Not a pleasant place for a technician to work. We could why focus on detail could be uneven.
More bad news, it took about 40 minutes (that we could sorely afford) for the brakes to be fixed. The good news is that the issue was a frayed cable which they replaced without charge.
The jury is out on this place. We will give them another chance.
