McCarty’s Window Fashions

These folks are so great. They are always friendly, prompt, and helpful. I’ve gone to them several times for repairs on my honeycomb blinds. Most recently they fixed my blinds in less than an hour the day before Christmas eve.

Best decision I’ve made in years!
I’ve used McCarty’s twice over the last 10 years and when I was thinking of new drapes for the living room unfortunately I was in Costco at the time and was dazzled by one of their sales people. They came out and measured my windows, told me I couldn’t have what I wanted so I picked something else and was told I would get a quote the next day. I waited a week called them and was told they had left me a message telling me they couldn’t get what I wanted and what did I want to do? I said forget it and called McCarty’s something I should have done from the beginning.
Jackie was great, she came out not once but twice took pictures told me there was no problem I could have what I wanted and I was thrilled. She was so knowledgeable about products and spent a good hour going over fabrics and giving me her opinions when I seemed stuck.
I hate to say it but it’s hard to find customer service like Jackie and Rick her installer give these days. They are amazing and I’m so glad Costco turned out to be so terrible and I should have thought of McCarty’s first.

It was a pleasure to work with Jackie at McCarty’s! She was helpful, responsive and accommodated our work schedules for both measuring and installation. I’m very pleased with our new window coverings and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. I brought in a broken commercial roll-​up blind, it was in pieces and these guys fixed it to perfection in less than two hours! Mike and Jackie were so nice and accommodating and the cost was amazing as well. I will definitely do business with them whenever I need window coverings or repairs. They were awesome! Great local business!

Jackie and the installer, Rick, both did a great job with all the blinds and curtains in our new home. These folks are knowledgable and dedicated pros.

McCarty’s is a great family-​owned business and I have been buying my blinds from them for the last 5 years. Jackie was very helpful in giving me advice on what to choose and came to my house to measure. I really like the quality of the window coverings she sells– I bought some beautiful Hunter Douglas honeycomb blinds and a sun shade for my sliding glass door. I have also purchased vertical blinds from her and simple light-​blocking shades. I really enjoy working with her and her husband and appreciate that they service what they sell and are easy to get a hold of too. I am so glad I used them and not a big box store– the price was competitive, the quality was excellent and the installer was very professional.

We purchased our blinds from McCarty’s 12 years ago and their customer service was amazing then. I took a blind in for repair this week and the experience was fantastic. You know when you have the kind of customer experience that you want to tell strangers on the street about? That’s what I experience every time at McCarty’s. It’s so nice to have a high quality, professional and friendly local business here in SC.

As usual, me reading one bad review (when there are not a lot of reviews to begin with) always has me second guessing if I should do business with that company. I’m happy to say that the moment I walked in to the store to the time I got my blind back was nothing but a wonderful experieince. The lady who helped was friendly from the get go. My blind was even repaired for FREE! The repair guy was extremely helpful. Although my blind had to be sent out because it was older, the overall experience was great.

Unfortunately, I wish I could say that I had a good experience with this merchant, but I most definitely can not! We ordered two custom blinds several months ago, and only recently were we able to pick them up because Jackie (owner?) would not come in to her store to allow us to get them. Because we live outside the area we could not be at her store during normal business hours, and she told us we would have to wait until she had another Saturday appt. scheduled, and then she’d let us know we could come by. First it was that her daughter was about to have a baby, then it basically sounded as though she just didn’t want to bother, especially since our order was «only $ 150»… How very sad that this is her idea of customer service. Apparently, as long as it’s convenient for her, life is good. But this is not the way you run a business. We originally were going to go to a chain store for this purchase, but decided we wanted to give local business’ our patronage. At least I know that if we’d used 3-​Day Blinds, they’d actually have someone available at their store so their customer could receive their order, instead of having to wait for it to be convenient for the owner. The real kicker came when she said she’d just ship them to us instead. Naturally, she didn’t offer to pick up for the shipping fee, even though she was the reason we didn’t have our blinds. when I suggested that we split the fee, she got really huffy and abruptly said goodbye. A week later she left a message saying that she decided that she wouldn’t ship the blinds, but would FINALLY be available for a Saturday pickup. WHAT AMAZING GALL… Wow! And never once, the entire time, did she ever apologize for the inconvenience. I would NOT recommend this vendor to anyone. This woman seems to do this as a hobby, not a business.
