Advanced Blind & Shade

We recently moved into a home that had blinds and have called around looking for help with a broken one. The young lady at the desk area was very courteous. Max end up helping us and was SO nice! He knew exactly what the problem with the blind was and quickly addressed it – in house! Repairing the blind was affordable and fast. I honestly think this is one of the few places in town that can actually fix a blind you bring in… most other places are just small offices. We will definitely come here to get a few more of our windows done when we are ready!

I have very seldom received such excellent, cost-​saving service from any company. One of my blinds broke a cord. I tried to fix it myself with a new cord but that didn’t work. So I took the blind into Advanced Blind and asked them to replace it. They said, we can do that but we might be able to repair it. That would save you money. I accepted their offer and it was ready in a couple of days.
I’m not kidding. I asked to buy a new one and they told me that wasn’t necessary. I will always be grateful to them for their desire to save me money.

I’ve used them for years on various condos I’ve owned for rental. Always on time, good prices, good quality. No problems at all. Just had blinds for my own condo and the same experience. They are the only people I call for window coverings.

Thank you! After a miscommunication, our blinds were made in the wrong size. But after speaking with a manager, we finally got it figured out and he put a rush on a new order to make it right. Even though it was partially our fault, they took ownership and fixed it! I really appreciate that, and will be back next time we need blinds!

Just had our blinds fixed and some replaced. A guy Thomas came out to fix them and was awesome. He was on time, very polite and professional and did an amazing job in next to know time. I will be asking for him in person next time and I recommend you all do the same!

I have used this business three times in the past three year.
Every time, the employees were exceptionally helpful, friendly and professional.
Once, I brought a set of blinds on my way to work to be repaired, and they promised it would be done in two days, which was fine with me. But they called me that day before I got to work.
Today, I took a set in whose mounting hardware had broken, and pulley system come apart.
Instead of asking me to leave the blinds, the guy right then and there found the parts, told me how to put them on and only charged me $ 4 for the parts.
They also gave me advice on how to clean another set.
I wish all businesses could be like Advanced Blind & Shade.

We’ve purchased shades from this family-​owned business for two different houses in the last 6 years. The shades are beautiful, high-​quality shades. One feature I particularly like is the «motor» which pulls the shades up very smoothly to the headrail. This is a great feature that makes it possible to put a one-​piece shade across very large picture windows. The choice of fabrics is basic, but very nice. It wasn’t difficult to find just the right shade for all windows in both homes. Delivery was right on schedule, and because the family-​owned business eliminates the middle-​man, prices are very, very reasonable.

This is my first Unilocal review. I typically lurk to find good businesses in my area. Saying that, this is not one that I would recommend.
I called to have broken slats replaced in my blinds. One of which was broken by the cleaners, so they recommended that I call ABS to get it fixed.
The guy came out Dec 6 to look at it and said he would email me a quote for not only the blinds, but also for new blinds in my master bath.
Jan 3 I had to call them to ask where my quote was. On that call, I got the quote and told them to go ahead with the repair. They said they needed to send a guy out to measure which I thought was already done in Dec, but ok. We scheduled for Jan 9.
They followed up with an email of the quote and a confirmation of the guy coming to do the measure. He showed up and told me it would take 2 days for the new ones to arrive.
Jan 31, I had to call back again to ask again what was going on. I was asked if I paid the deposit. Me: What deposit? ABS: It’s on the quote. If you don’t pay the deposit, you don’t have an order. Me: At no time during my chasing them down calls did anyone say I needing to place a deposit in order to get this ordered. I didn’t have any issue with but this guy was being a jerk about it saying it was up tome to read the quote and make the call to pay the deposit and place the order. I though the order was already place back in Jan when I said «yes, let’s move forward with this»
Feb 3^rd, I called back again to ask where my blinds were. I finally got a time/​date of that week.
At no time did I get the quote for new blinds in my master bath. I’ll now be looking elsewhere. 2 mos to fix 2 broken slats is too long… the customer experience through it was awful. So much for going local.

We purchased blinds from these folks a few years ago. Recently, one of the drawstrings got untied and disappeared up into the headrail. I called and talked to Steve, who walked me through the first few steps of disassembling it so I could repair it myself. He welcomed me to call him back if I needed more assistance.
I appreciate the friendly and thorough support. Its been great doing business with Advanced Blind & Shade.

Just had our new shades installed and they look beautiful!
Todd was easy to work with; We wanted to do some specialized automation on our blinds. Todd was open to our requests and accommodated us, while making sure we were all on the same page. This included meeting a few extra times but Todd had no complaints.
The installation was no hassle. Roger, a nice professional, came and installed them. Todd came and checked in on the progress.
Again, putting in that extra effort and costumer service.
The product is beautiful and worth the cost. Just recommended them to a close friend and now all of you!

I am extremely happy I ordered my whole house shutters with them! hard working, right on time! nice quality! my house looks gorgeous! whole crew are very nice & work really hard. Todd (I believe one of the owners) very polite and professional. I asked him to come for an estimate 1^st time and 6 months later asked him to come and give me a 2^nd estimate. We ordered right away vs Costco (Hunter Dauglas) representative was too rude. 2^nd time we called to get the 2^nd estimate on different brand/​style because we figured we couldn’t afford to go with the 1^st estimate she mentioned she wulnt’ do it for us because we are wasting her time!
So glad did it with advanced blind I recommend it to anybody who is looking for nice shutters or any kind of window treatment!

I am unaware of any other local window-​treatment company that offers the advance consultation, the wide array of products and the fine service that Advanced Blind & Shade offers. We manage an apartment complex and needed replacement vertical blinds for many of our units. We went in asking how much the replacements would cost, and Claudia kindly informed us that we could actually buy a $ 1.50 part that would repair the vertical blinds, so we wouldn’t have to buy the entire thing! We had Todd come out to give an estimate after getting estimates from a couple other competitors. Not only was he a more genuine (read– not just there to make a sale), nice person than the other guys, the prices were *VERY* competetive, and the product nicer.
We got 3 blinds installed in our living room a few months ago, and decided ot get some installed in the kitchen.
Todd came back to measure and we sent him on his way with a bag of home-​grown tomatoes :)
The blinds came in when he said they would, and he installed them inside of about 10 minutes.
The girls at the shop who called to schedule both appointments were very nice and understanidng about me needing to confirm with the hubby about which of us would be home, and when. :)
