Dermalogica On Montana

Annika is amazing. She really takes the time to evaluate your skin and she really cares about what products are going to be the best for you. They are sample happy here so you can really try out a bunch of products before you buy. They offer so many different kinds of skin lotions, creams, serums etc so the samples are great. The 20 min micro zone is always my go to because its reasonably priced and I can be in and out in 20 minutes. My skin is always looking fresh and hydrated when I am finished. I can walk there but parking can be a bit of a hassle during peak times but there is always free parking on the number streets.

This is the only place I trust. I’ve tried every other product and treatment from other spas and stores, but there products/​services don’t compare to Dermalogica. This is the best you can get. They use nature and science in their products, and are located in such a nice and convenient part of town! If you’re new to Dermalogica, get a (Free) Face Mapping analysis; it’s what I did, and now I’m hooked to all the products that were recommended for whatever skin problems I may have had! They’re simply the best and now I am proud to say I’ve got great skin; thanks Dermalogica :)

Seriously in love with this place! I have been going here to get a Micro Zone treatment once a week for about 2 months. It’s super addicting because I see results immediately. I love working with Annica — she’s so sweet and makes the treatment painless and quick!
The staff is super friendly, the treatment works and the parking is easy. What more could you ask for?

I would definitely recommend a 60 min facial with Tehran! She is knowledgable and thorough. At the end of my facial she recommended some products and gave me lots of samples without pressuring me to buy anything. The staff is friendly and works hard to ensure that you’re totally satisfied. I am very impressed with every part of the experience!

Just had my first facial ever (Microzone) with Boihan. She was wonderful– quick yet thorough, and an absolute pleasure to talk to! She listened to my skin concerns (lots of clogged pores and moderate acne) and tailored the treatment to meet my needs, explaining what she was doing every step of the way. She also hooked me up with a ton of great samples to take home, and didn’t pressure me to buy anything.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely be seeing her again next month.

Nice facial however, please do not bring your customers over to the «sales pitch» products table after they just spent $ 115. for the service and tip. Then, try to sell further with the «buy another with a discount», then, «join our rewards program»! Enough is enough. What is this a timeshare? No one wants to get hit up with 3 – 4 sales pitches after after a facial for relaxation.

Love getting facials there. Love their products too. A lot of their products are paraben free… and they work well!

I have sensitive skin that’s prone to breakouts. In my years of doing facials, I’ve tried 6 – 7 different places in the westside, and none has impressed me as much as Dermalogica. Their products are great — the only ones i use now. They offer microzone facials (20 minutes) and hour long facial treatments. Both are great in their own way, but with my type of skin, I prefer to get the full hour treatment.
I started coming here 4 years ago, made it a point to come monthly, before i slacked off for a few months. I saw and felt the difference in those months of absence and so glad I came back to get reacquainted!
All their specialists are great, Boihan is my regular and she’s the best at extractions!

Coming from NYC, I’ve had some really great facials so didn’t know exactly what to expect here, especially because the price is much lower than what a typical 60 minute treatment would be like in Manhattan.
Yesterday’s facial was probably the best one I’ve ever had. It was thorough, complete with extractions and even some medical devices used to kill bacteria under the skin. The aesthetician could not have been more friendly and informative. After the facial, I was met with tea and samples of the items used on me (rather than a salesperson trying to make me buy everything used on me. Looking at you, Bliss Spa!!) I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve had an obscene amount facials and skin treatments in my past, but Dermalogica concept space has changed my life! The skin treatments are amazing. With each treatment I see improvements in my skin.
Valerie is nice, she makes the experience pleasant. All the products are absolutely amazing. After discovering this place there is no where else I’ll trust with my skin.
Though, they have a bitchy receptionist who answers the phone. If she gave me her name I would call her out for being rude, and just having poor customer service. *humph*

I took the 20 minutes facial and it was amazing, so relaxing. Good price for the service, and it was a little bit more tan 20 min. Anna was really nice.

This review is long over due! I had the pleasure of getting a facial from Boihan and it was incredible! She is the extractions master! My face felt sooooo clean afterwards! She was very sweet too!

Had a great experience with Brenda and the rest of the friendly staff today! Needed a quick microZone treatment and Brenda did an amazing job. My face feels excellent! She made all the right product choices & recommendations plus I got the results I was looking for. She was very polite, professional and made me feel comfortable. The ladies up at the front were also extremely nice and very helpful as well! Even though I’m a skin therapist myself, it’s always nice to get treatments from other therapists and I’m sure glad I booked here!
I’ll definitely be coming back :)

facial extractions cost $ 100, and they dont even use any tools… all hand… how are you supposed to get out all the extractions by hand? they ask you what kind of music you like and play it during this «extraction» and then after your done, they try to sell you their products by bringing you to this product table and give you tea… i’d say skip this place… i’ve had way better extractions than this and they charge way too much for this type of service.

I just moved to Santa Monica to do an internship this summer and I really needed a facial. Valerie did my 60 minute facial. She did a great job and knew her stuff! I came back about a month later with a friend who was visiting from Canada. We both got a 20 minute facial at the same time and it was also great. If you don’t have the time or money I would suggest the 20 minute facial.

I have been here twice so far now, and have received the BioActive peel. I have seen a great difference in my skin and am extremely pleased with the results. I should start by saying that I have used countless cleansers, topical and oral medications and etc to keep my skin in check for acne and pigmentation problems. I also have tried a ViPeel (a chemical peel) as well as Silk Peel treatments before opting to try the BioActive peel at Dermalogica. If you have pigmentation issues, brown spots, and light acne then the peel here will most likely help you. Each session takes around 30 – 40 minutes and is relatively pain free. The cost per session is $ 125, but if you buy a bundle of 3 then you get a discount. There are many different components to the process and products used, and your skin specialist will explain each stage while she is performing it. There is some discomfort involved (there is a burning sensation that is temporary) but it is mostly pain free. The skin specialists also try to ease this discomfort by holding mini fans up to your face to cool you down. The customer service is really special too, and I like how they offer you tea or water before and after your treatment. After walking out, they describe the post peel instructions to you. In my experience, I have peeled within 72 hours of the peel. The first day you will look a bit red and burned, but the second day is when you will look more brown and your skin will look more flaky and crusted (the worst day I would say). By the third day the skin will slowly start to peel off in different areas (do not peel it off no matter how much you want to). Upon showering, the skin will also start to flake off. You have to follow the regimen of applying the moisturizers, creams and etc that they give you samples of (the samples are a decent size and can last for almost 2 weeks). Despite the embarrassment factor of having to hibernate for 3 days/​shy away from public, I feel like the quality of my skin as well as the color and texture have improved greatly after 2 sessions. It has also helped with my breakouts. Granted, I am also using other products, but this is definitely an added bonus. This place is definitely worth checking out – whether or not you schedule a peel, they have a large selection of great products and specialists to give you advice on your skin.

The Dermalogica on Montana experience did not disappoint. Knowledgeable staff, the most excellent of products in a clean, relaxing, professional environment. Can’t wait for another visit!

I raced over after work through traffic to make it to the store, and made it inside with minutes to spare before they closed!
I was greeted by the friendly staff and jovially told that, «so sorry, we have already closed our computers». A bit bewildered by that statement (okay, so just open the computer again…), I promised I would be really quick as I knew what I wanted. They once again affirmed that their computer was closed and there was really nothing they could do (Really? We all know how computers work, just turn it on. That’s a terrible excuse).
In conclusion, I am rather disappointed with my experience with the staff in this store. They’re obviously not very enthusiastic about serving customers during normal business hours. If they really want to get home a few minutes earlier so desperately, change the closing time to 7:30pm instead and stop leading us to believe that driving out of our way to get to their store and buying their products near the end of their work shifts will be fruitful.

Had the mini 20 minute facial here with a friend, while my puppy slept nearby. They are dog friendly here so yay! :P
Who doesn’t love being pampered? I had a fun time, and they gave us some samples afterwards. I like their products :)
