Specialties

Fresh Brothers is a Chicago-​style pizza place — deep dish and thin crust pizzas. We use the finest cheese in the pizza biz, farm fresh veggies and our sauce and dough are made daily in-​house. Fresh Brothers also offers a vegan and gluten free menu. In addition, our staff is trained using a program through the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness.

Our customers rave about a few of our specialties:

The Miller Pizza — It’s a massive meat pie loaded with sausage, ham, ground beef, pepperoni and bacon.

The Fresh Kids Special — It’s a healthy blend of five vegetables mixed into our pizza sauce. The kids don’t know it’s there — really!

Fresh Brothers Chicken Wings — Baked, not fried. They were voted «Best of the South Bay» by the Beach Reporter.

Fresh Brothers Salads — We have 40 items on our salad line. Tell us what you want and we make it — chopped or tossed, your choice.

History

Established in 2008.

Yep. They’re brothers.

Adam, Michael and Scott grew up in the Chicago suburbs in the 70s.

Every Sunday, dad would order pizza from two old-​style neighborhood pizzerias: a sausage thin crust from one and a spinach deep dish (their Momma’s favorite) from the other.

At age 19, Scott opened his own place: Miller Pizza Company. Voted South Chicago’s Best Pizza by the Chicago Post Tribune.

In 2008, Adam and Michael took Scott’s best creations, gave them a fresh California twist, and opened the first Fresh Brothers, in Manhattan Beach.

Our recipe is simple, and ours alone.

Handmade dough. The finest mozzarella in the country. Our own pizza sauce, made fresh daily, with super secret spices straight from Chicago. Baked wings, never fried.

Fresh, handmade salads.

Our deep dish is as authentic as it gets. We slice our thin and skinny crust pizzas in squares, just like in the old neighborhood. Of course, we also make Hawaiian Style pizza, which would get us kicked out of the old neighborhood.

Burned again! This is 5 times now. Can someone please actually look at what you are cooking. If if had not been for the one time it was perfect we would not keep trying. Especially shameful is burning KIDS pizza. It’s obviously for kids they don’t have sharpened bear traps for jaws. It would take 500 lbs of pressure to break though the charred crust. I really don’t know how one place can so consistently burn every pizza.
Save yourself the trouble — if you want to try fresh brothers just bake some plywood for 60 minutes or snack on some space shuttle re-​entry tiles — That is also gluten free!

I love this place. The have such a large variety of choices. They have vegan/​vegetarian options and gluten free crust. The pizza is light, flavorful and fresh. I usually go the locaton in Calabasas at The Commons.

I work nearby and had heard a lot about this place, so I decided to check it out. Ordered a personal pizza with hot wings… very tasty! Everything was so fresh, it does take time to get your food but I rather wait for food then have it cold and sitting there for awhile. My new favorite thing is their BBQ chicken salad… soooooooooo good! My new guilty pleasure! Who knew salads could be this good! All the staff are very pleasant… they are not perfect but they acknowledge when they make a mistake and compensate for their mistake (which is very rare)

Haven’t been here in a while. Mostly because we know it’s some of the most expensive pizza in town.
We kinda missed it. Order a large da works. With delivery and tip $ 30 for a pizza. Haha, that’s right, that $ 3 tip brought that pizza to $ 30.
Not sure about the rest of you, but it’s mostly dough, flour and water based.
Anyways, pizza was soggy. Not sure why, not sure how, not my responsibility to make sure it’s done right. What I do know, is I received a $ 30 pizza that I could’ve got 3 for the same price from another pizza place.
You can market it however you want with key words like fresh and the such, but it’s just a pizza. Maybe I’m over simplifying it, but it’s not that complex.
I could’ve got 3 pizzas at 800 degrees for $ 30.
Sorry, I know rent in SM is over priced. But again your overhead is not my issue. You should find a place with reasonable rent and reduce the price of what your selling.
Maybe, in another 8 months from now I’ll try it again, maybe…

Ok so hear me out… I ordered fresh brothers for the first time, just their 7″ pepperoni pizza with a Cobb salad. I asked for a side of ranch, anchovies and Pepper-​chines… Everything was delivered except the sides ordered! I can’t eat my pizza without my sides!
Usually I never leave bad reviews but this place needs to check themselves and double check the orders going out. My friends had ordered from them last week and the same thing happened to them. Not great customer service. Even though the food is great the service goes hand and hand too.
I order Fresh brothers again because the food is too good to pass up and it just so happen I received everything I ordered this time! Much appreciated! Also I really appreciate you guys delivering without a minimum order but just a $ 3.50 charge. It helps with business owners who can’t leave their shops!

Okay I stopped by here to get the deep dish and used the Unilocal check-​in for garlic knots.
Deep dish: finally a decent, tasty, and simple pizza! Idk why it’s so hard for LA to figure how to make pizza — but Fresh Bros has got it down well. Pizza was cooked to perfection, light airy crust, just enough cheese (not too much or too little), and tasty!
Garlic knots: Wow. Fresh is an understatement. Really well done, I have to say these are probably the best garlic knots I’ve ever had. Freshly made, soft on the inside, toasty on the outside.
Service: Friendly. I can tell the employees love to work here. Chick with the dual hair color’s awesome and friendly.
Overall very good place, definitely fresh.
I am carbed out and will be doing some hiking/​plyo/​abs tomorrow bc I just disgusted myself by the amount of food I’ve ingested.

Order hasn’t been wrong in over a year. Now that they have that down it is hands down my favorite place to order pizza from.
Deep dish, multigrain, skinny crust– you name it whatever you get will definitely satisfy.

I mean its hard to go wrong with pizza, and Fresh Brothers is no exception. I got a solo flat bread cheese pizza; it wasn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it’s a solid choice for lunch.

Why do I keep going to a place that always messes up my order??? Here’s my salad with no olives — more than 3 tablespoons I tried to fish out of my salad. Also took more than 8 minutes to get out of the parking because 4 Freshbrothers delivery cars are blocking the alley and no one can get in or out of the parking garage — for $ 15 for a personal pizza, salad and soda they need to do better. Not sure what’s happened but management has gone downhill.

Great food! Greek chopped salad is so delicious. They have a few styles of pizza, all of which are tastey.
The thin crust they chop in squares but if you ask they’ll cut it in triangles. It’s nice that they are not snooty that way.
Delivery is always fast too.

Too expensive. Two large pizzas and 1 garlic knots and 1 chicken wings. My order was $ 58. I don’t care even if I put gold on my pizza, it shouldn’t be 58 bucks. No pizza order form a take out place should be $ 58 bucks. Never. Ever.
Sorry. The pizza was decent but won’t go back for the price.

I’ve been to a lot pizza joints, but this one tops them all! The pizza is fresh as well as their other food. We ordered the extra large double pepperoni deep dish pizza with wings, garlic knots and meatball sliders. The staff is friendly, attentive and the establishment is very clean. And to top it off, the manager gave us complimentary sweet knots for dessert. If you haven’t tried Fresh Brothers pizza in Santa Monica, I highly recommend it!

What can I say, who says pizza can’t be sexy! This is again the Miller deep dish. I order pizza maybe once a month when I have to work through the night. I discovered Fresh Brothers a couple months ago and I’m hooked. They have a great order system always know me by name when calling are consistent, quality ingredients deliver at the quoted time.
Other pizza folks should take notice, they know how to do it right. One of these days I’ll have to order the rest of the menu!

Yum! I’ve been looking for another good pizza place in Santa Monica and I found it.
My favorite option is the skinny crust pizza. It’s thinner than thin crust and you can order it extra crispy (cause I like a crust that can hold its toppings). They have all of the usual pizza topping options and you can build your own or select from a number of pre-​designed selections.
In addition, Fresh Brothers has some awesome appetizers. If you check in on Unilocal,you can get a free meatball mini sandwich. It’s like saucy meat heaven on a Hawaiian bun. Do not skip on this delightful treat!
Lastly, I have to mention the fantastic customer service at this location. Every time I have entered the store, I was greeted by one or more friendly employees. They all seem truly happy to be working there, and it adds a nice vibe. It’s an important differentiator when there are so many pizza options out there.

I work nearby and come sometimes with coworkers and service has always been friendly! Plus you’ll get a small discount for working nearby if you tell them!
Pizza and wings are very tasty– they even have a gluten free menu if you wanna eat healthier with salads and even wings on that as well. Wings come with sauce of choice and free blue cheese or ranch.

The wait can be a little long around the lunch hours so just remember that this is a sit down kinda place so don’t expect to get your food right away. Plenty of seating though.

There’s a time and a place for three-​star pizza. That time is a rushed lunch before a meeting and the place is when it’s two blocks from your office.
I ordered the veggie pizza and got the Unilocal promotion (free meatball slider).
Here are a few of my immediate impressions of the vegetarian pizza on thin crust:
Salty. I think it was the green cocktail olives?
Crust: A little meh. Just kinda bland. Nothing special.
Moist. I like that.
Toppings are generous, especially the cheese.
I finished 75% of it, thank you very much.
Overall, I would go back because it’s cheap, near the office and pretty decent for a quick take-​out lunch. The staff are super friendly and the place looks clean. It hit the spot.
