Drs. Susan and Brent Hale have been practicing in Santa Monica since 1987 and both are graduates of Northwestern University 1985.

Hale & Hale, DDS is a husband and wife dental duo in Santa Monica that have built a reputation as a leading provider of restorative and cosmetic dentistry throughout the Los Angeles area and beyond. Drs. Susan and Brent Hale have been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years, and are well known for the close relationships they form with their patients, and their families. I Grew up In England with notoriously bad dental practices, And also did 4 years in the US Air Force with equally bad work, and still always loved going because you are supposed to come out of the dental office better than you went in…
For 27 years of my life (since I was 6, and until 10 years ago) I have not had a good dentist until I found Hale and Hale.
This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to and they are just plain fantastic. I have had maybe 15 dentists in my life and this office is amazing and the work they do is top tier. Not only all that but it’s basically a totally painless visit, on your mouth, in your head and in your wallet.
Love, Love, Love this Dental office and all the staff. I can’t say enough good about them so I shall stop now :)

Dr. Hale has been my dentist for the last 8 years and I can’t recommend him enough. I was the person before Dr. Hale that was afraid of going until I went here. They have done amazing work on my teeth and have turned me into someone who loves going to the dentist! I have had cavities filled and it is painless and easy. I got a mouth guard made 5 years ago on their recommendation as a person who grinds his teeth and it has saved my teeth for years to come.

I’ve been seeing Susan Hale for about 6 years and I would never think about seeing any other dentist again. Dr. Hale is the most kind and caring dentist I’ve ever had. She is so gentle and makes me feel good about going to get my teeth checked out. I’ve had lots of work done on my teeth and have had her refer me to specialists in the area. All of her referrals have been wonderful as well. Dr. Hale also genuinely cares about all of her patients so much. She will always go the extra mile to help you and I have always been so grateful for that. If you are looking for a new dentist, you will definitely want to visit Dr. Hale! I seriously cannot recommend her enough!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Brent Hale for over 20 years. I chose him initially because he was known to work well with kids and although I wasn’t a kid I figured that means he would be really nice and gentle. I wasn’t disappointed and over the last two decades I still haven’t been disappointed. I’ve recommended him to a number of my friends and everyone loves him. If you have to go to a dentist you should at least try and make it an enjoyable experience. Thanks Dr. B.

Hale and Hale DDS is the best! I am very particular when it comes to finding a good dentist. Dr. Hale is always upfront with me about pricing and making sure that it will work with my insurance. They never try to recommend anything I don’t need. I’ve been going to them for the past two years and get two teeth cleanings a year.

I’ve been a patient of Susan Hale’s for over 10 years now. When I first started going, I wanted to come back sooner than the every 6 month check up just because of the good feeling I had leaving there each time. All of the staff from Susan on down reflect what a professional and friendly experience you will get in this office.
I personally have Merisa as the dental hygienist I see when I visit and she makes the visit always comfortable, painless and leaves me with great clean of my teeth!
I highly recommend this office and will not go anywhere else. I’ve since moved about 45 minutes away (No traffic) and still drive into Santa Monica for my dental care.

These people are the best of the best. I have been coming to Dr. Hale and my hygienist Debra for years, and I recommend them highly. When I first came here, a previous dentist had done a bad job on a root canal, and my physician, Dr. Stephane Garcia, recommended Dr. Hale. Since coming to Dr. Hale and Debra, I have had excellent results, and they have helped me save my teeth, which have always been soft and prone to cavities. Like I said, the best of the best.

I absolutely LOVE this office. When I first moved to LA, I got a bunch of recommendations for dentist from people at work. I tried a lot of them. They all sucked. One guy even suggested that he immediately replace all of my silver fillings (because they’re leaking mercury). I knew I was going to like Dr. Hale because she went to Northwestern for Dental School (prestigious /​in my hometown!) and her hygienist is also from Chicago. (My own weird bias, but for some reason, it seems to work for me…) I’ve been going there for probably twelve years, and have gotten probably the best dental care of my life. Deborah is an amazing hygienist and takes so much time and care with my teeth. And Dr. Suzie is kind of a miracle worker. In all this time, I think I’ve had one cavity and one filling to replace, and both times, the work was painless.

The best. Absolutely, positively, the best dentist. I have been seeing Dr. Brent Hale for 15 years and have had consistently great experiences with him, as well as Deborah, their hygienist. Awhile back I moved to the valley and decided I didn’t want to trek to Santa Monica any more so I asked for referrals from friends and saw someone else. He told me I needed old fillings redone (20+ year old fillings), crowns and a whole bunch of other work. I fled back to Dr. Hale who rolled his eyes and said something about how I’ll probably need those things… in 30 years! I also started bringing my daughter to him and Deborah after the «première» valley pediatric dentist insisted she needed a fluoride treatment (at the ripe old age of 3) and billed us an arm and a leg for it. Dr. Hale was not pleased when he heard about it and has been my daughter’s dentist every since. An all around amazing and wonderful dentist and person.

Both my wife and I have been coming to Dr. Brent and Dr. Susie Hale for 13 years. They are amazing dentists and caring people. Debra my dental hygienist has a gentle touch and does a wonderful job cleaning my teeth to make them sparkly white. Even when I didn’t live on the Westside I would go out of my way to drive to their office because they are worth it. Highly recommended, five stars.

After moving to the Woodland Hills several years back, I thought the drive to Santa Monica was too far for my ongoing dental care. I started my quest for a new dentist and tried out at least four in my area. I didn’t realize how great Dr. Hale truly is until my search came up miserably short. I had mediocre to terrible experiences at other offices, even having several other dentist tell me I had up to 18 cavities! I knew it couldn’t be true.
I went back to Dr. Hale for a second opinion and he assured me that I was fine and didn’t need to have any fillings. What a relief! Dr. Hale is one of the most honest dentists I’ve ever met and is always cheerful and upbeat. I’ve decided on Dr. Hale as my primary dentist and his practice is worth the drive. Deborah is a great hygienist too, always very gentle and thorough in her cleaning. Close to 20 years later, I’ve come full circle and am glad to be back at an office that I feel is professional, honest and friendly.
