Just came out of a successful follow up on two crazy infected root canals (3 trips on each tooth, infections so bad both teeth ridiculously loose). He’s a wizard. Amazing, thorough, patient and an all-​star at what he does.

Great treatment — overall — personally and medically. My son was very pleased.

Love Love Love! Believe me a root canal is no picnic, but Dr. Kotsubo, Maille, and Kim make it feel like a picnic. I don’t use elevators, Kim came downstairs, & walked me up the stairs EVERYTIME I went in, Kim is an angel, on earth. I was so bummed this afternoon when my dentist, Dr. Carol Follette (the best dentist in the world, mind you) told me I needed a root canal for my broken crown. She called Dr. Kotsubo’s office and I was seen 20 minutes later. The staff are exceptionally kind, professional, calm and respectful. I’m terrified of dentists, and the idea of a root canal sounded worse than being water boarded. Dr. Kotsubo was amazing. He was just like his staff – kind, professional, friendly and very calming. He worked quickly and efficiently. The staff warned me it may take up to an hour and a half, and I may need two days to complete, but I was completely done under an hour. OK, this takes the cake: Dr. Kotsubo personally called me later this evening to check up on me! Who does that!!! Dr. Kotsubo and his staff ROCK!

Dr. Kotsubo was great! I was in excruciating and agonizing pain for a month and I was referred to this endodontist. It was quite literally a painless experience. Root canal has such a bad connotation reputation –did you know that March 17 – 23 was Root Canal Awareness Week?- but it was really not that bad. Perhaps «root canal» needs to be rebranded as «endodontic intervention» or something. Dr. Kotsubo performed his own evaluation so he could see things for himself, and recommended root canal. I just sat back and let them take care of it. Dr. Kotsubo was efficient, polite and professional and his assistant Miley was a comforting and soothing presence. The office was modern and comfortable, and the front desk administrator (Kim) was also very polite and helpful. I was very grateful that the experience was such a smooth one.

I’ve read a lot of the rave reviews here and if they’re legitimate I’m glad for the patients. My experience was awful. I was referred to Dr. Kotsubo by my regular dentist to have him look at a root canal that was still giving me pain. He was also supposed to look at another molar that might need a root canal. He wasn’t warm and friendly with me. He was rather arrogant and rude. He kept saying my name and emphasizing certain syllables in a way that made be feel like he was sneering at me. He didn’t tap test my tooth or even look at it through a microscope. He took xrays even though my dentist sent him over ones that were taken within the week. All he did was measure the pockets around the gums of the tooth and pronounce that I had gingivitis (which turned out not to be true) and charged me $ 200.00!!! I asked him to please look at the other molar and he said my dentist didn’t mention that so I would have to return for a second visit and be charged another $ 200.00!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? When I spoke to my dentist later that day, he told me Dr. Kotsubo lied, that he did tell him to check both teeth. Flagrant gouging at its finest. Run!

I was not thrilled to learn that I needed a root canal but I can now say that it is not a bad experience as Little Shop of Horrors might indicate. It is similar to getting a filling although takes more time. For my procedure I arrived at 10:45, filled in paper work and the whole root canal was over by 12:45. Dr. Kotsubo is thorough and methodical. All you need to do is sit back and let the oldies but goodies wash over you (I recall listening to American Pie). Dr. Kotsubo was highly recommended by my dentist Dr. Craig Israel and I can see why. I do not know what root canals go for but I’m pretty sure it’s not the kind of thing you want to get done cheaply. This is an experienced practice located in a lovely building. I think you’ll be very happy with your experience at Dr. K’s practice.

First ever root canal and I was a bit anxious. My regular dentist referred me to Dr. Kotsubo and from the moment I stepped into the office I was at ease. Everybody and everything seems geared to calm.
As it ended up, the root canal was not a big deal and if I have to do another one I know where I’ll be going.

When my general dentist referred me to Dr. Kotsubo due to a serious dental condition, I was distraught in anticipation of possible surgery. After an initial evaluation, Dr. Kotsubo confirmed the need for the root canal and the procedure
was scheduled. I was so nervous about the impending surgery, I couldn’t sleep
the night before. Imagine my surprise and immense delight when I experienced absolutely NO PAIN, NOR DISCOMFORT during or after my procedure. Before I knew it, Dr. Kotsubo had completed the work and I was on my way home.
Unbelievable! Dr. Kotsubo, Miley (his assistant) and Kim (his receptionist) all
were so very patient, kind, understanding and reassuring. They made my
encounters with them a pleasure. They are a remarkable team. They
communicated openly with me, providing information and explanation
of every action being taken. Upon the initial referral of my general dentist,
one of the staff persons heard I would be seeing Dr. Kotsubo and informed
me that she and entire her family are seen by him, therefore, she could
confidently recommend him. In conclusion, Dr. Kotsubo called to check
on me later the same evening, after the surgery, to make sure all was well.
I can confidently recommend him and his team. They will provide you
with the very best of care!

I came here for a root canal and was blown away by Dr. Kotsubo’s professionalism and service. Not only did he know what he was doing, he was very nice and pleasant to be around. Nobody likes getting a root canal, but the procedure was as pain free and seamless as possible. Also, his staff, Miley and Kim, were also very friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

I hate dentists!!! Was reffered to Dr. Kotsubo, by a new dentist im seeing now, due to a root canal I needed. Front desk staff and assistant were nice and professional. They eased my nerves as to what Ive heard of when it comes to root canals.
Dr Kotsubo was warm, pleasant and professional. Was pain free during and after procedure. I thought this was supposed to hurt lol. If I ever need a root canal again Dr Kotsubo is my guy to go to. Awesome experience for someone who hates going to dentists.

WOW! After reading all these wonderful reviews about Dr. Kotsubo and his staff, I am wondering what I can add that hasn’t been addressed here yet? Doc, his assistant Miley and receptionist Kim, all simply fantastic in all aspects and areas of their work, professionalism, caring, and compassion. Dental work was fast, easy, painless, and considering it was a heavy duty root canal, I was laying there relaxing of all things! Unheard of! I didn’t even want to leave after getting into a deep philosophical conversation with them after my procedure was finished. I felt like I had been to a BE-​IN about life! Gee, maybe I had! Zen and the Art of Root Canals! Also, beautifully decorated office with wonderful meditative artwork that was hand picked by Dr. Kotsubo himself. Thank you guys for making my day (and root canal) a wonderous experience. Talk soon!

I have terrible anxiety when it comes to all things dental and let me tell you, the two root canals I had done by Dr. Kotsubo were completely painless and totally comfortable. Every single person on staff is helpful, understanding and friendly. Dr. Kotsubo made sure I understood the procedure and checked in with me frequently to ensure that I was comfortable. It was quite literally quick and painless. I absolutely recommend him to anyone that needs a root canal, especially those with a fear of dental procedures. With Dr. Kotsubo, you’re in good hands.

I luv Dr. Jeffrey his office is beautiful and so is the entire staff he has outstanding taste he’s handsome and a master with his hands I can’t believe I went in for a root canal I was finished within in 30 min prefect service. I was mad I had to leave so fast. The job was outstanding I feed great teeth look fabulous and didn’t need any pain medication. I luv me some Dr. Jeffrey I need to find another reason to go see him again my birthday is coming up!

Ask me again 10 years from now and my review might be different, but having gone through two severely botched root canals, I can say from experience that Dr Lee is by far the best endodontist I’ve ever seen.
He uses a state of the art microscope to peer into your gob, and stares straight ahead into the viewer, hands hovering over your mouth, moving with the dexterity of the robot devil. It’s quite a feat.
The plugging of the root looked flawless on the x-​rays, which is a first. Three thumbs up.

I had gum surgery done by Dr Kotsubo. I couldn’t believe it when the doctor said «all done», because I didn’t feel a thing. it’s like magic, even when I went home, I didn’t need to take any pain medicine.
Dr Kotsubo called me in two days to check on me to see how I am doing. a week later the doctor removed the stitches… and three weeks later my gum feels really good and I don’t even feel like I had surgery.

I admit that I was terrified to get the work done. I had never had any work done on my mouth, and it had been a long time since I had been to a dentist. Kim, in the front office, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She did her best to ease my nervous state of mind. Then I met Dr. Kotsubo’s assistant. I don’t remember her name (was too terrified to listen), but she was really friendly, patient, and gentle. She explained everything before she did it to ease my fears. Then I met Dr. Kotsubo. Compared to the dentist when I was a kid, he was personable, friendly, patient, knowledgable, etc. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how great he was. He made me realize that all my years of being afraid to go to the dentist were unfounded.
The 1 /​½ hours of work on my teeth were the fastest 1 ½ hours of my life. Throughout the procedure he calmly talked to me and made sure I was doing okay. I will recommed him to anyone and everyone. The whole experience caused me sleepless nights before going — for no reason. He, and everyone in the office, were fantastic!!! I hope someone at the office reads this — because I really appreciate the outstanding work.

After having a toothache for a full week, I went to my dentist who told me I needed a root canal and immediately sent me to Dr. Kotsubo.
Kim, at the front desk, was cheerful and personable – and very knowledgable about her part of the office. She was helpful and we had a great conversation about books.
Of course I was nervous – who isn’t, in the dental chair? Dr. Kotsubo took photos of my tooth (very easy!), did a couple of tests (yes, they were uncomfortable, no, he didn’t make them more so), and then announced that I didn’t need a root canal, I just needed to wear my mouth guard to bed because I grind my teeth.
He could have made a lot of money by giving me that procedure and I never would have known, but he chose to do the right thing and be honest with me. I so appreciate this.

Great office! Everyone in the staff is incredibly nice and make the whole experience easy. I’m usually a bit nervous going into any dental session, just because I know I’m not there to party. But Dr. Kotsubo, his incredibly nice/​awesome/​friendly/​smart/​sophisticated staff, and the stylish office made the whole experience relaxing and painless.
As someone who has had a few bad experiences in Dentist offices, I highly recommend Dr. Kotsubo.
