Many people at this store are hateful awful people. Read the other 1 star reviews that back up my comments. I was treated like a dog, talked down to. NEVER AGAIN.
Boycott this Luxottica monopoly.

This is my first time at this location and the second time with Lenscrafters. Dr. Kaneko is a highly skilled, affable, health professional. The store is spotless and the entire staff was attentive and professional. Natosha, in particular, made my visit very comfortable and provided the best professional care. I would not hesitate about utilizing this location. Further, I was impressed with my eye exam, Dr. Kaneko’s thoroughness, and the impressive technology.

I’ve been coming to this location for over 20 years. Dr. Kaneko is the consummate professional.-Knowledgable, highly skilled, friendly, patient and kind. I wouldn’t think of having my eyes checked by anyone else.
The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. A great customer service experience.

Bought replacement frames on line and the lenses didn’t quite fit.
Went to LensCrafters.
It was more complicated than just popping them in.
They made it work.

I’ve been going here for about 8 years and overall I have been pleased, especially with the convenience. My only complaint was one time my prescription was off, and it caused some eye strain. I told the doctor I liked what I currently had and he thought my eyes had changed. I didn’t go back and have them re-​do them as it was minor and I don’t use those glasses too much, but I will be aware of being careful next time, and checking a new Rx carefully before leaving the store. Other than that (and to be fair, I never went back to have it fixed), I’ve found everyone very friendly there and they are efficient time-​wise. I think they also have a great selection of frames.

You know the adage: you get what you pay for. Cheap prices, so…
Initially they messed up, making reading instead of distance lenses. I wasn’t in a rush, so it was fine. Today I went in for a repair, and they told me they don’t sell replacement parts, I’d have to buy a whole new frame. I’ll find a better optical store, and they’ll get my business from now on. Lesson learned.

I went in to order my glasses today. I spent a good amount of time (30 minutes) trying on frames and was helped by a very nice sales associate who really did do his best to help me find what I wanted. Unfortunately it was a busy morning for them. The phones kept ringing and the occasional walk-​in would arrive. My salesperson did great in juggling everything that was thrown his way. So, what’s the problem, you may ask… The ENTIRE time I was there the manager was on a personal phone call and facebooking while the salespeople in the store were scrambling. Absolutely no professionalism. No wonder this place has such horrible reviews! A quick Unilocal search and I found a place on the other side of Santa Monica, on the same street with over 300 reviews and a 5 star rating. Looks like I’ll be taking my business elsewhere!

Unhelpful with lots of attitude is how I would describe this location. I lost my sunglasses and because my Rx was more than 2 years old they would not give me a replacement pair even though I had been to my eye doctor and my Rx hadn’t changed. They wouldn’t even consider it on a temporary basis.
So I guess it’s better to loose a long time customer who can’t see to drive because of the sun.

Very disappointing experience from the beginning to the end. Less than 30 days later i have a scratch on one of the lenses and the response is I should have purchased the warranty, although i was not offered one.

I have been a customer of Lenscrafters for many many years and as you can see below I initially wrote a glowing review of the Santa Monica location.
I decided to get a new pair of glasses today and was surprised to see no sign in list as they always had in the past. No one acknowleged me in any way. No hello, welcome to Lens-​crafters. I didn’t even get a we are all busy but someone will be with you shortly.
This was today-11:00 am in the morning on a Wednesday. I deliberately avoided going there over the weekend.
I walked around for 30 – 45 minutes looking at and trying on frames. I even sat down a couple of times and tried on additional frames to see how they looked on me.
Absolutely no one offered to help me.
Apparently there was no management today and the salespeople just didn’t care.
I have very high astigmatism and wear multi focal lenses. My frames plus lenses run around $ 1,000.
But customer service is very importantw to me and obviously the current staff doesn’t care about that.
I’ll either go to another Lenscrafters and see if they care about custmers or if anyone reads this and knows of another place with a wide selection of frames and helpful, caring salespeople please let me know.

I was so impressed by my experience at Lenscrafters in Santa Monica today I had to write a review.
I just went there to buy a pair or 2 of sunglasses as my new puppy-​like rescue dog chewed up 2 pairs. It was a conspiracy. The cats knocked the sunglasses off of the table; the dog then carried them off and I heard the resultant crunching. Sadly this happened twice.
Street parking can be frustrating there so I opted to park in the city parking lot. Not a big deal.
Anyway I grabbed about 12 pairs of sunglasses and ambled over to a mirror to see how they looked on me. Many of the current trends (cat-​eyes etc) either are unflattering on me or too big for my little face.
This man came over and asked if he could help. I thought all of those pairs would cause all of the salespeople to run away screaming but Arsenio was wonderful. He wasn’t pushy at all. He found some glasses I hadn’t noticed that were just what I was looking for. I must have tried on 20+ pairs.
He was so patient and understanding (I can be indecisive and a pain to shop with or to help).
With Arsenio’s help I found 2 great pairs of sunglasses to purchase. When I mentioned I have mild cataracts he ensured I had polarized sunglasses. No one has mentioned that to me before. Oh, and with my AAA membership I got 30% off
I think it all depends on who is helping you. I highly recommend Arsenio and hope he is there next time I need glasses frames or sunglasses (hopefully not because the dog ate them).

Rather than having your customers reenter their insurance info every visit… store it!

Been coming here for over a year for all my eye wear needs. Everyone is always so friendly and ready to help. The parking is awful but that’s not their fault. Both doctors are always ready answer all my questions. A little understaffed and sometimes the wait is long — but well worth it!

Came in on a Sunday with my gf for appt. I on the other hand had no appt but several questions and some needed adjustments on my glasses. Rosalie was super patient and answered all of my questions. My past experiences have been fine there but this was worth a review. Thanks Rosalie!

I came here for an eye exam and to use my insurance benefits before the end of the year. Out of all the other LensCrafters locations, this one had the most available appointment slots. Also, the associate I spoke with on the phone was very accommodating and friendly even during this busy time.
My eye exam went pretty smoothly, and both my mom and I were able to squeeze in appointments! The doctor, Dr. Lu, was very friendly and knowledgable. She was also able to explain things easily and answer all our questions.
When it came time to pick out frames and get fitted, the staff member helped us by bringing some selections that fit our preferences as we were browsing.
Even though you may have to wait a while when it’s busy, there are magazines to read in the waiting area and of course all the frames you can try on as well. The shop is bright and clean, so l appreciated that.
Overall, I had a pleasant experience at this LensCrafters.

My daughter’s contact lens prescription had expired. I learned that contact lens prescription is only good for one year. I was panicking to find an optometrist for a new eye exam.
My daughter has a heavy class schedule. LensCrafters opens until 9 p.m. whereas other optometrists close at 5 or 6 p.m. It’s easy to get an appointment here.
I paid $ 65 co-​pay for a contact lens prescription. We received the contact lenses within the same week.

My review is not for LensCrafters itself, but for Dr. Alabi.
She was the most eloquently spoken, helpful doctor that I’ve ever seen. She carefully explained each step of the check up as well as answered all questions thoroughly and descriptively. She was personable, funny and incredibly intelligent. Her diligence was unlike anyone else I’ve experienced at an Optometrist. I’ll be back just for her.

I just called earlier re: my contact lense, and I paid to expedite my shipping, and this guy name ERIC, who is such a douche and doesnt have manners and oh! No good customer service. He told me to wait for couple days for my contact lenses. I mean come on, if you dont know anything, you shouldnt say couple days. Such a stupid guy and a douche. No manners ERIC! He shouldnt even working at that company.

THE WORST DECISION I TOOK TODAY WAS TO VISIT LENS CRAFTERS!!!
I was heading to the shop accross the street «Dr Dayyani Optometry» for an eye exam when I noticed Lens Crafters. I asked my self, why should I deal with a local opticals shop when I have a shop like Lens crafter?!
So I decided to visit them instead and do my eye test there, and that was a HUGE MISTAKE!
Some of the staff members were RUDE to the point where I decided to LEAVE THE SHOP without doing the eye exam. All what I did to let them show their bad face was asking about my insurance benefits then asking for my insurance card back to call the insurance company and confirm the information showing on their system.
I highly recommend crossing the street and going to Dr. Dayyani Optical shop. Their staff were so much friendly and compared to lens crafters and Dr. Dayyani was so kind and helpful.

5 stars to Lens Crafters for their outstanding Customer Service even when they were super busy!
My husband and I stopped in for a vision appointment and to get new glasses. Our check in process was smooth and we later met with our Optometrist Kristen Kaneko who was very friendly and knowledgable, once the exam portion was complete Dr. Kaneko walked us out and showed us the wide variety if frames available for us to select.
We waited for some time due to them being extremely busy but during our wait we didn’t go unnoticed, as the staff would pass us they would acknowledge us and apologize for the wait, once it was our turn we selected our frames, were fitted and checked out. This process was smooth and pain free, our customer service rep was great, I feel terrible for not remembering her name.
An hour later it was time to go and pick up my lenses, unfortunately I had missed them by 3 – 4 minutes after their closing time, I understood and didn’t plan to go crazy and bang on the door like some other people would, but when my associate noticed me walking away she went out of her way to re open the store to get me my glasses… Now that’s great service! Both girls there were super friendly one American and the other one African American, they didn’t even rush me although they were closed, they asked for me to check the fit and make sure I was happy.
All in all I am happy and thanks to them I have a great new pair of glasses.
