Thank goodness for Doc Super. Funny, professional and fast. Couldn’t recommend him more.

Check your bills carefully when completing a transaction here. It’s the first I’ve ever seen an optometrist running a business without an admin /​receptionist — and trust me, it’s not unfair of me to say that she really needs to get some help with these specific functions.
It’s frustrating as a customer to have to put up with inconsistent billing + attitude — which by the way appeared to be directed at some other customer whom had been disputing their bill on email, not me.
Not sure where the other 5-​star reviews came from — probably when she still had help at the front and with billing.

I cannot give more accolades to Dr. Chiu. After the last lousy customer experience with my old optometrist (who kept records on index cards), I found Optometric Eyesite on Unilocal and could not be more pleased. She’s patient, soft-​spoken, funny and thorough; she has state-​of-​the art equipment; and she really knows her stuff. I walked out of there with new soft contact lenses which I never got the hang of, so I’d been wearing gas permeable until I finally had to stop due to dry eyes. Thanks to her, I no longer have to wear my glasses when I’m all dressed up! You will be very pleased with Dr. Chiu, and the office is quiet and nicely furnished. The only tricky park is the parking, but if you call and the office isn’t busy, she’ll let you in the back and you can park right in the building.

Professional! Dr. Chiu is highly qualified indeed. The examination is very thorough and accurate. Definitely visit if you are in the area. Great selection of frames. The reviews you read on Unilocal for Optometric Eyesite are spot on!

Took my daughter in about a month ago for her annual eye exam and to try to get her to switch to contacts. Dr. Chiu was very thorough with the eye exams (some exams she performed had not been done before at the previous opt. office) and she and her assistant were also patient in explaining and allowing my daughter to practice placing and taking off the contacts lenses to make sure she would be able to do it herself at home. After a few tries at the office and a few weeks of practicing at home we found that contacts were just not going to work out after all so we went back in to get her fitted for glasses. Dr. Chiu has a great selection of designer frames, and after going through a few of them my daughter was set on some beautiful black/​blue Tiffany frames.
I was very happy to know that unlike other places, we would not have to wait a week or two to pick them up. Overall I think this is a great office with a fantastic Dr. and I would highly recommend it.

Amazing! My daughter and I were in from Dallas and she lost a contact. Dr. CY Chiu was able to fit her for new contacts on site and took care of us like we were locals. Amazing amzazing service! And what a fabulous location too! Wow!

Professional! Professional! Professional After my old Opt was getting a little long in the tooth and his assistant would make appointments for me and forget to tell the doctor I decided it was time for a new Optometrist. Love this one! Great selection of glasses to to choose from!

Optometric EYEsite is the best eye care experience in LA! Dr. Chui and her receptionist Linh are extremely helpful, detailed, and easy to work with. Dr. Chui’s office is modern, clean, and super easy to find. You can even park in their dedicated spot in the garage. Her equipment is completely up-​to-​date, and the examination is easy and accurate. Definitely recommend them to anyone in the area in need of a new eye doctor!

Dr. Chiu is the best! Very thorough & informative throughout the exam. She has up to date equipment (which always makes me feel better about an eye exam). Even though I didn’t purchase glasses at the time because my prescription stayed the same, she was sweet and made suggestions as too which frames would look best with the shape of my face etc. She has a good selection of glasses. Mostly high end. She’s great… go see her!

Most thorough and informative optometrist I have ever gone to! This year was my first visit and I will be back every year now after.

I almost never give anything on Unilocal 5 stars, but this rare gem deserves it. Dr. Chiu and her friendly staff made me feel important. They were patient, caring and respectful. I was pleasantly surprised to receive such good service in the United States. It’s very rare to see this level of personal attention here in this country. But, Dr. Chiu sets a high standard here for all to follow. I can’t wait to go back for another appointment, but I guess I’ll have to wait a whole year. :(

What a great experience. My Mother-​In-​Law can be very difficult to work with. Dr. Chiu won her heart while patiently performing a comprehensive eye exam. The exam was state-​of-​the-​art and extremely thorough. I would have paid twice what was charged — which was very inexpensive. Thanks Doc Chiu!

What a fabulous experience!
I just moved to Santa Monica and haven’t seen the optometrist in 4 years.
Thank God when looking up a list of providers my insurance was covered by Dr. Chiu.
First impression: When speaking to Alice (Dr.Chiu’s right hand woman) she was very pleasant and accommodating. She quickly looked up my insurance and promptly called me back to go over what my visit includes. She was very helpful with directions and even met me inside of the parking lot to make sure I knew where to go.
The office: While filing out paper work Alice offered me something to drink. The office is very modern yet cute. Dr. Chiu has a vase array of state of the art machines and technology. There is a great selection of frames of many brands to pick from.
The location is right by the prominade and is easy to get to if you live in Santa Monica.
The Visit: Dr. Chiu was very in depth with her testing by using a mix of old school reading the letters test, pressure wand, photographic machine that measures if my eye is flat/​the shape. Dr. Chiu is a genius! She has two doctoral degrees in optometry and pharmacy! My new idol!
She was kind to talk to me about my future endeavors in dentistry. She showed me all the newest technology and educational aids such as the iPad with demonstrations.
Overall she and Alice made my experience extremely enjoyable and I would highly recommend her!

I first learned of Dr. Chiu from you my fellow Unilocalers! I must report that the overall high rating for Optometric Eyesite is indeed well-​deserved…
I have been to various eye doctors over the years, and Dr. Chiu is by far the most thorough one I have ever had the pleasure of seeing as a patient! You really get the sense that she is sensitive to the unique concerns of her patients, as she took the time to answer all questions I had about the health of my eyes.

I live in NYC in and was in town visiting for a friends’ wedding in December and had some time to kill so I decided to get a full eye exam. There was no wait at all, with no appointment, which was great.
Dr. Chiu was very professional, friendly, and thorough. She was also very calming, as eye exams are not comfortable at times, when you are getting your eyes dilated and what not. I was so glad I stopped by! She seemed to really care, and wanted to give me the best visit possible at her office.
The office was also very pretty and beautifully decorated. Most eye doctor’s offices and doctor’s offices are bland and ugly. Her office and her own style reminded me of something/​someone that should be in a tv show about eye doctors in a posh Beverly Hills setting. I would recommend all my friends to go see her if they need an eye doctor!
Oh when I left she gave me chocolate, could it get any better than that?

Dr. Chiu is awesome!!! Amazing personality super helpful and professional, I never even had eye exam like that! It was the best eye exam ever! I had a little emergency, and Dr. Chiu was sooo helpful and took me in rt away! I didn’t have an appointment. Highly recommend this place!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!
My co workers have told me nothing but horror stories about this woman! We work around the corner so some of them were going to see her for basic things: annual eye exam, contact orders, etc.
She tries to swindle everyone that walks through her door by scheduling up to 4 appointments to get «fitted» for contacts, and insisting that patients need additional costly special services that are completely unnecessary.
Clearly all the 5 star reviews are fake. Bottom line: stay away!

Dr. Chiu and her trusty assistant Alice are great.
The office is perfectly located near the Third Street Promenade, and is stocked like the Batcave full of state-​of-​the-​art optometric equipment. No dusty old machines here.
Dr. Chiu is warm, friendly, knowledgable, professional and thorough. Those are plenty of descriptors, and all are true. She puts care and attention into her work, is attentive to patients’ needs and treats you like a person, not a customer.
I went to Dr. Chiu for an eye exam and contacts, and I couldn’t be happier. And I’m sure if I returned for glasses… or anything else, for that matter, I’d be equally satisfied. Optometric Eyesite is highly recommended in my book.

I have been near sited for more than 15 years, went through many eye exams, and have not seen any doctor who spends so much time and effort making sure the patient gets a thorough check up and the best service possible.
Dr. Chiu would answer all my questions, explain her findings in details, and does not rush the patient out of the appointment like some other doctors do.
As a bonus, the equipments at Dr. Chiu’s clinnque are the most high-​tech ones I’ve ever seen. You will be amazed when you have your eye exams here.

Although relatively new, Dr. Chiu and this location comes highly recommended by friends and family. After going for nearly 3 years without updating my pair of glasses, I decided to take advantage of my FSA to get a new pair of glasses. Dr Chiu holds a doctorate degree both in Optometry and Pharmacy, which is amazing considering how much knowledge she possesses.
During my eye examination, Dr. Chiu was extremely thorough with her examination, going to great measure to ensure that my eyes were in good health. She took her time with each patient ensuring they not only get the best eye care possible but to explain to people like me how I can go about taking care of my eyes. After examining my eyes, she knew right away I slept with my contact lens and recommended that I not wear my contact lens for 2 weeks.
Since her glasses are done in-​house, the glasses can be done in a relatively short period of time. Her clinic also houses some of the most high tech devices I’ve ever seen at an Optometry.
