Born and raised on the Westside, Janice draws inspiration and motivation from her Chinese-​American heritage. From violin to tennis to great results during her undergraduate study at UCLA, the value of education has always been important to Janice.

I just worked with Scott for a second time and he was amazing again. As a seller this time I got to see Scott, Janice and his team work the other side of the deal and they are just as impressive as the first time around. From the first day of the deal until it closed, Scott’s competence, knowledge and advice was first class. I can honestly say I got a higher price for my property by going with Scott than any other agent.
Scott sold my property in less than a week and helped me all the way through the escrow process. I called him at all hours of the day with questions and he was always there to guide me in the right direction. I highly recommend Scott and his team!

Scott Price helped us buy our first house 10 years ago. As first time home buyers we needed a lot of «Buying a House 101» and hand-​holding. Scott was so helpful, had so much patience with us and always answered our questions no matter how silly. He was the best! Naturally when it came time to sell our house 10 years later, Scott was the first person we called. We didn’t even think about calling anyone else. This time around we were first time home sellers and needed the same tutorial and hand-​holding for how to sell a house. We were on a very tight timeline but Scott was there reassurance us that everything was moving smoothly and on time. Any time I got worked up, he was the calming voice talking to me. Mark Mendez and Janice Hou just helped my family find our house earlier this month and they are great people to work with. We are first-​time home buyers and constantly have tons and tons of questions about each and every step throughout the whole home buying process. Mark and Janice are always just one text, one email, or one phone call away to help, any time of the day. They are friendly, professional, and always available, which is very important in helping us stay calm and patient with the otherwise somewhat unpredictable and sometimes frustrating process. Most of all, they are extremely honest and always took the time to make us feel comfortable.
We found a house that we really liked on our first weekend of house hunting. Mark and Janice spent almost two hours examining the house inside out with me the next week before helping us putting our offer together. Waiting to hear back from the sellers after we submitted our offer was extremely stressful but Mark helped us walking through each step of the negotiation and really listening to us. He was trustworthy and kept our best interest at heart. He worked extremely hard to get the deal done. After our offer was accepted, he continued to guide us through the following steps such as home inspection and the whole escrow process. He is very organized and informed us of when and what should be done and even recommended home insurance agents and handyman so that we don’t have to shop around in a hurry. He and Janice make the whole home buying process easier and a lot less stressful.

Decide to purchase a property at LA around September, because of it is the first time home buyer, I have completely no idea about the whole process, check on Unilocal and try to find an good agent, there are many agents online, they all have a very good ratings, but finally reach out to P+H, because they have really the most number of good review and also 5 star ratings :)
Mark Mendez is the buyer agent who helps me to find the right property, he is really a nice guy, and explain me the details of every buying steps during the whole process. We went to different properties, because of the rumor that the interest rate would go up at the end of year, so I am kind of eager to get a property ASAP, luckily enough, find a property at Mar Vista, which I love it, what is amazing that they accept the offer below the asking price, which is not common in that area. what is even more amazing is that after the house inspection, the seller is only willing to offer some cash for replacing the washer and dryer, but thanks to Mark and Scott, they manage to make the seller to increase another thousand dollar, which is totally a surprise for me. After the property escrow close, he even recommends me the handyman for some of the repair.
Thanks to P+H, they are really an excellent agent, I would definitely recommend them to my friends later.

I interviewed several agents to sell my home in Santa Monica and the decision was easy for me: Scott and Janice.
I was thoroughly impressed with their knowledge of the Santa Monica market, attention to detail and unpretentious nature of their team. The other agents I interviewed seemed to care more about some award they won or how they were #1 in sales for a month or something — it was very off-​putting to say the least. Scott and Janice focused on me and my home, and they were impressive until the very end.
I am a CPA and as you can imagine, details are important in my world. Scott and Janice were transparent and clear with expected costs and what to expect throughout every step of the way.

Janice and Scott are a dynamic duo! The real deal, the ticket… They helped me sell my first home and I’m so glad I reached out to them.
There were snafus along the way, but Janice handled it all with the wit, grit, and strategy of a true professional. She knows when to push, when to retreat, and when to hold steady. Scott filled in whenever necessary since Janice was my primary agent out of the two. Theirs is a true partnership built on extensive communication and trust and that carries over into their interaction with their clients. They don’t let things fall through the cracks. Scott always knew exactly what was going on with my home and my sale. He played a back up role, but not once did he make me feel like I wasn’t a priority. Janice and Scott are both gems.
My place suffered some unexpected damage TWO days before closing and the buyer was mortified! Janice negotiated a reasonable compromise to get me out of there and close the deal. My HOA tried to pull some funny business as well, but Janice was a rock and advised me how to handle the matter perfectly.
P + H will be being helping me find a new place as well. I’ll update this review once I get through that process. I suspect it will go just as well based on the selling experience I had with them!

Scott was my agent and made the whole process very straight forward. He would give his honest opinions without making you feel he had some vested interested in having you buy.
He worked hard to help me view as many places as possible.
Most importantly, he went above and beyond the call of duty once I did buy a place. He helped me get financing, to resolve issues with an HOA, find qualified contractors and more. In fact, he continued to call me several weeks after I moved in to make sure everything was OK and if he could help resolve any issues.

SCOTT is A-​MAZING!!! I am a recent college graduate, relocating from Massachusetts to the LA area. I was seeking to rent an affordable apartment for myself only. I knew there was a TON of competition for reasonably priced rentals, and because of the amazing Unilocal reviews for Price and Hou Associates, I decided to send them an email to see if they had any advice for me as I searched for an apartment. I honestly did not expect them to get back to me considering I wasn’t looking at buying a home (which I would totally understand of course!).
However, about 30 minutes after I emailed, Scott answered me right away with additional questions about the areas I was looking to rent in, and my price range, so that he could steer me in the right direction. I felt that was SO nice already, and then he went ABOVE and beyond that by calling me and really making sure that I was prepared to start my search! He told me every piece of advice that he would give to his sister or a friend if they were trying to relocate (SO nice, and again, I’ve never met him nor am I interested in buying a home!). Scott truly cared and was looking out for my best interest.
Without Scott’s advice, I would not have been nearly as prepared to find an apartment. He made sure I was up to date on all of the local rental websites, that I had my paperwork ready to go for each visit, and what I should be prepared for. He also stated that if anything didn’t seem ‘right’ or if an apartment was questionable, that I could let him know the situation before going through with anything, so that I didn’t enter into a bad agreement or living situation. Without his help, I believe my apartment search would have been incredibly difficult and frustrating. I am so happy my search is over now and I really owe that to SCOTT! He is the BEST. If I am looking to buy a home, or know of someone looking for a realtor, I will without a doubt recommend Scott and his team! You will not find greater people!

I feel like I won the Realtor lottery by finding Scott & Janice. I am an experienced real estate investor and have bought and sold many properties through the years.
