Sessions Songwriting and Music is a unique kids-​only songwriting and music studio that offers group and private instruction in songwriting, guitar, piano, and voice. Sessions’ number one goal is to foster the musical voice of every student through a well-​rounded musical program. Whether its learning to write the lyrics to an original song or reading sheet music, Sessions can help your child get there!

History

Established in 2008.

Sessions Songwriting and Music sprung to life in 2007 when its founder, Lauren Bruns, was discussing with a friend and mother of two that no music schools were offering a songwriting component for kids to express themselves. Lauren set out on a mission to create an easy-​to-​follow curriculum that inspired kids of all musical levels to develop a voice through original lyrics and music. Lauren has since taught her curriculum at schools across Los Angeles, including Crossroads, The Center for Early Education, Mirman, and St. James.

Business Owner

Lauren Bruns, a New Orleans girl, had the love of music instilled in her from an early age. She attended the University of Texas, where she began her career as a singer/​songwriter. In 2005, Lauren signed a deal with SONY Records. With a love of children, in 2007 Lauren decided to forge a new musical path and offer something close to her heart to the kids in Los Angeles — songwriting. With demand building, Lauren opened her first kids-​only songwriting studio in Santa Monica, CA.
