I had a bone density appointment at this office today.
I had never been to this office before, I was referred to this office by my primary doctor. Long story short, there was a bit of an insurance «issue». Jose, the receptionist & the Office Manager at Resolution Imaging, were very helpful in expediting today’s appointment. They were very professional, pleasant & concerned. I was able to do the bone density test as scheduled. The results will be forwarded to the primary doctor in a day or so.
Even thought I didn’t meet Dr. Troum, I’m very impressed by his staff & the Office Manager of Resolution Imaging.
Kudos to all three of these employees for making today’s appointment a pleasant, prompt & professional one!

As a physician, I am very particular about who I see for my own healthcare. Dr. Troum came highly recommended from other physicians when I needed a referral for my medical condition. He has all of the qualities I look for when seeking a physician; he is highly knowledgeable, extremely intelligent, thorough, very friendly, highly regarded and reputed amongst his peers and truly compassionate about his patients and medicine. With information technology, patients have many options these days when seeking medical care and I can honestly say Dr. Troum is the right choice. I have full trust in him and am grateful to have him as my treating physician.

Although it’s been over a year since I went to Dr. Troum, and I only went once, I give thanks to him on a regular basis in my mind. I was afflicted with a particularly vicious carpal tunnel syndrome, and had made an appointment for surgery with Dr. Neil Jones in Costa Mesa. Since Dr. Jones is highly sought-​after, I had to wait about a month and a half to get the surgery, during which my carpal tunnel got progressively worse at a rapid rate. To make things extra special, it only really kicked in when I would lie down at night to go to sleep, ensuring I got absolutely no sleep. It got to the point where I was sobbing hysterically every night and taking up to 4 vicodin, which made not one iota of difference. I was seriously getting suicidal and tried acupuncture from a top-​rated acupuncturist who had even treated a couple of the Beatles, and who a friend was evangelical about. Of course, not one iota of relief (this is typical for me, what works great for others does absolutely nothing for me, and what others get mildly, like carpal tunnel, I get to a crippling degree requiring surgery, sad to say). My boyfriend knew a doctor in his building with whom he discussed my extremely critical situation, and thank GOD (or whatever power there is), this doctor knew of Dr. Troum!!! I found out about him on a Friday night, and after suffering through another night of agony, during which I prayed like I’ve never prayed before (and not even religious, but I thought I had nothing to lose at that point) that he’d be available on a Saturday, even if I had to bribe him with everything I owned, I phoned at the crack of dawn. Unbelievably, he was in and had a sliver of time available (the receptionist told me when I arrived that I was very lucky because he was only in briefly that morning, and was otherwise fully booked until the following month!!). I raced over there and he was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the syndrome, and exactly where to administer the cortisone shot which I honestly believed saved my life (or at least my sanity). He told me precisely that it wouldn’t get rid of all the pain but should make it tolerable until my surgery, and that was exactly what happened. I went from sobbing in agony to sobbing with relief and gratitude. The pain became instantly manageable and I didn’t commit suicide before my surgery. Now that it’s all a distant, horrific memory, the one bright spot that stands out is Dr. Troum, and I want to say to him that he saved me and I am on my knees with gratitude FOREVER!!! I have never been in such horrible, never-​ending agony in my life, and pray I never am again, but if I am, I know the magic doctor I will turn to immediately. THANK YOU DR. TROUM!!! You are the very very BEST!!!

I love Dr. Troum. He’s the rare doctor who is as smart as he is nice. He’s gone above and beyond for me several times. He is funny. If you are sick he will figure out what’s wrong.

Dr. Troum is an AMAZING doctor. I have a very rare condition and Dr. Troum’s knowledge absolutely blew me away. Not only is he an incredibly nice guy, he also takes as much time as he needs to with you to understand your problems and make sure you are happy with the treatment.
It took me many times of going to various doctors to find a competent doctor and when i found Dr. Troum I knew I found the right doctor. You can tell he truly understands what you are going through and is very compassionate which is a VERY rare quality in a doctor these days.
You can tell that Dr. Troum’s calling is to be a doctor because he is absolutely amazing at what he does. I have never seen a doctor take so much time with me to talk with me and figure out a treatment plan and make sure I am OK with what has been done in past visits. I really respect Dr. Troum because you can tell he is not motivated by money and more motivated with helping people and improving people’s lives.
Also, his level of knowledge is insane. I have never met another rhemotologist who has the level of knowledge he has. I simply cannot say enough good things about Dr. Troum and his practice. He is an outstanding doctor who cares about his patients and ensures you are doing well. Every time I go see him I feel like he really cares and does everything he can to help.
He has greatly improved my quality of life and make a huge difference in my life.

Unbelievable doctor! I miss him so much! I consider myself an expert on doctors, because I go to them so often. I have multiple sclerosis. However, I have another autoimmune illness known as a lupus. My lupus has been has been classified as «mild lupus» or a «lupus variant.» Instead of going to a local rheumatologist, I came back to see him in LA, after moving to Arizona.

I adore Dr. Troum and his office staff. Dr. Troum is kind and knowledgable. He is a researcher and a leader in his field. When an issue is out of his wheel house, he has many professionals to refer you to when necessary for specialized services. I have worked with him for several years and consistently recommend him to others.

As good as it gets is right. He’s a doctor’s doctor. You won’t find any doctor as professional, and skilled as Dr. Troum. I’ve had RA for 8 years and started with him early in my diagnosis. He has put me in remission for several years now. The second best thing about him is that he has an adorable personality and will make you feel like you are sitting in his living room. I just love this guy.

I’ve been seeing Dr. T for 25years! He is excellent at what he does and he has a great bedside manner. He listens and will work with you on your treatment plan. I left Cali for 7 years and even though I don’t live in Santa Monica anymore, I still see Dr. T. Love him!

Ah, Dr. Troum. This is a man who LOVES his work. He’s in the book of best doctors in the USA. He’s number one in the Los Angeles area. A great doctor: knowledgeable, compassionate, helpful. I feel fortunate to have him as my rheumatologist.

There are a lot of doctors out there who are «good» at their job, in that they know a lot but have exactly zero personality, bedside manner, or sense of humor. Dr Troum is not one of those doctors.
Dr. Troum is good at what he does, AND has a sense of humor, personality, and bedside manner. He treated me as a whole person, rather than just one symptom. Such a rarity these days. He was very easy to talk to, and very reassuring. Highly recommended!

I saw Dr. Troum a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I had been referred to him by my mother’s boss who felt I should see him for a second opinion. I have a rare autoimmune disease that the majority of doctors I have seen over the past year have never heard of. My current rheumatologist is familiar with the disease, yet has never treated a patient suffering from such a malady. Not only was Dr. Troum familiar with the disease, he has seen multiple patients with the same diagnosis.
I was impressed with Dr. Troum’s background of knowledge based in research and clinical trial studies, but even more impressed with his personality and communication style. I felt as if I was speaking to a colleague as opposed to being spoken to. Dr. Troum not only listened, but heard all I had to say. He understood my concerns and had suggestions for future treatment to reduce pain and help me return to my normal life. Showing very little ego, Dr. Troum was very open to speaking with my primary rheumatologist to discuss his suggestions and assist in helping him develop a future treatment plan.
After seeing Dr. Troum, I feel very encouraged that I will get better.

I went to see Dr. Orrin this week for a shoulder injury, I was pleasantly surprised by his attentiveness and excellent communication skills. He was also very thorough in his examination and gave me a number of options for my injury. Also, he is genuinely a nice person and I would definitely recommend him to anyone, as these characteristics are very hard to find in a doctor.

Phenomenal, highly attentive, and candid doctor. Was given an excellent referral by my orthopedic doctor to Dr. Troum and he did not disappoint in the least. Great communication skills, highly knowledgeable, and a very nice guy. He’s also the guy who went on MTV and denounced that cracking your knuckles causes arthritis — there isn’t any truth to that, old wives tale! Would highly recommend for rheumatology and any joint/​skeletal issues. He is a pleasure to see and I will be going back.
