Cloverleaf Ranch

I love this facility! I recently relocated to Sonoma County and after reaching out to dozens of different barns, Cloverleaf made me feel the most welcome and at home. I have an older mare who is starting to become a harder keeper. My concerns were immediately put to ease by Shawna the owner with all the different options of care provided. Being able to have access to so many amenities and trails makes my riding experience a piece of cake! Great great place for family, kids and any horse loving person.

My daughter, 5 at the time, went to Cloverleaf for horse camp last summer and I was more than impressed with their program. Obviously I was concerned since she was one of the youngest campers. They are well organized, the staff was friendly and took great care of my child and she had an absolute blast. They did a great orientation the day before so that she could be prepared and the parents could check it out and ask questions. They have a nurse on site during camp just in case which eased my anxiety. I would highly recommend Cloverleaf and we plan on having her attend again.

I came here last week with my two boys who are 12 and 13 to take an hour long riding lesson. I have not been on a horse in 10+ years and my boys have never ridden. Our instructor Tammy was awesome! She was very through explaining everything before we did it and has such a passion for the horses it was very comforting knowing that she knew the horses we were on so well. We got off to a little bit of a late start with our lesson, we had to find boots and helmets that fit us (provided by Cloverleaf) but when the lesson was over we had been there for over two hours. It was great! it wore by boys out and gave me a bit of confidence and they were able to listen to Tammy and do everything she asked even though I struggle to get that behavior at home.
I would strongly suggest anyone looking into horse back ridding lessons to visit here and ask for Tammy. She means business is the best way possible. They also have a summer camps both day and lodging from my understanding that we are planning on checking out next year.

My children have been going to cloverleaf since 1996…
Our last son is there now and has 6 years in. All my kids LOVED Cloverleaf!!!
They all cant wait to get there and hate to leave. I have complete confidence in every aspect… trust everyone, staff is attentive, fun, adventuresome and encouraging… camp life is never boring and the activities are geared towards fun, learning, and helping kids. They like the food. They LOVE the counselors the most. I have yet to pick up a child who left without shedding tears. Especially for my son who is there now as he is the last of six he has kind of become a only child as all siblings are grown now… Cloverleaf has helped shaped him into the thoughtful, social, confident 12 year old he is today. I can not say enough about Cloverleaf and their staff. THANK YOU CLOVERLEAF…

I visited today during their open house. Shawna and the staff were all VERY friendly, the facilities are cool, with lots of fun activities for youth. My boys are looking forward to spending time there this summer and I hope to hold some parties there in the near future.

I just returned home from a lovely trail ride at Cloverleaf. My husband treated me to a ride with a Living Social coupon as a Christmas Gift and I finally cashed it in today. I felt so bad that I arrived very late for my ride. I live about an hour and a half away and I got stuck in traffic twice due to two different accidents. When I called the staff from my car to explain the delays, they were very gracious.
When I called to schedule the ride a couple of weeks ago I was asked what kind of horse I liked to ride, and that impressed me because I really prefer bigger horses and trail ride guides usually choose the horse you will ride. No one had ever asked me what I preferred before. A beautiful big American Paint was waiting for me today! Cochese (sp?) was a really sweet mount with a wonderful disposition.
The instructor taught me a new way to rein, Vaquero style, and once I got the hang of it I realized how much easier it was for me to rein in that style. I wish I lived closer to this ranch because I would love to take lessons from this trainer, she was very nice, patient and not bossy at all.
The trail ride itself was lovely. I could ride for hours, yet this was only a one hour ride but my guide packed a lot in and it was really wonderful and relaxing, lots of hills and trees to explore. A beautiful red hawk flew in front of us at one point.
Finally, all of the horses I saw at this ranch were very healthy looking and looked well cared for, groomed and fed. It is very easy to see how much these people love their animals and care for them. The barns were clean and the horses have an enormous property to frolic on when put to pasture at night.
This is also a children’s summer camp and it looks amazing! Anyone with children who want to attend a horse camp should really give this place a look.

I had my twins 10^th birthday party at the ranch and we had a ball!!! it was a scorching hot day, 102 f, but we enjoyed ourselves none the less! We started off with horseback riding, which was with only one horse (and 14 kids) so it was a slow start, but thankfully it picked up as we headed off to zip lining. Even the adults joined in the fun!!! That was the highlight!!! We also did the archery, but if I had it to do over again I would have went with the riflery instead. We ended the day with a fun time in the pool, which was incredibly refreshing after being out in the blazing heat most of the day. And we made good use of the BBQ area as well!
The staff were all incredibly helpful, which we very much appreciated!!! Shawna was a big help with coordinating my needs and budget! A big thank you for your hospitality and in making this birthday party one that will be very memorable!!! The ranch itself is very nice, and an unexpected gem that I would very much recommend to others and will keep in mind for future events!!! :)

My 7 year old daughter did their equestrian camp last summer and over winter break. She loved it! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, the ranch is beautiful, and her experience was extremely positive. Plus the day camp hours are great for working parents– running from 8:30 — 5:00.

I have been very impressed with the ownership and staff at Cloverleaf Ranch. The facility is organized, clean, enclosed and safe. How refreshing! The staff are friendly and professional. There is lots to do even if you child does not want to ride horses. The pool, pond and outdoor facilities offer a range of activities to children who want to do something else. My son came home happy after a week, that speaks volumes! (He doesn’t like «camps».)

The staff at Cloverleaf are amazing! This is a family run facility and they make you feel like one of their own. Not only are the staff willing to assist me with my needs as a new horse owner, the other boarders have been more than accommodating if I need help or have questions. Everyone is attentive to each others horses and keeps an eye out if something is amiss. Rachel, my lesson instructor, is knowlegdable and patient, I highly recommend her. The facility is cleaned on a regular daily basis. The owner, (whom is an ANGEL!) has been holding weekly horsemanship clinics that have been very informative and confidant building for me! I love this place!
