History

Established in 2002.

Simas & Associates, Ltd. was founded in Sacramento to serve the needs of clients in matters involving government regulation. From its original foundation of advising and representing employers, the firm quickly expanded into other areas of Government and Administrative Law as a result of its growing expertise in dealing with regulatory matters.

The mission of Simas & Associates, Ltd. is to provide effective, ethical advocacy, advice, and representation to individuals, businesses, and other clients whose operations and day-​to-​day business are heavily regulated by the state and federal governments.

In 2005, the law firm opened an office in San Luis Obispo to help serve its Central Coast and Central Valley clients.

In 2015, the law firm opened an office in Santa Rosa, to help serve its Wine Country and North Bay Area clients.

Meet the Manager

Justin H.

Manager

Justin D. Hein is an AV® Preeminate™ Rated attorney who operates the Santa Rosa Office while managing the Sacramento Office of the law firm. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-​Madison and received his law degree at the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2005.

As Managing Attorney, he oversees the daily operations of the firm as a going concern, which includes oversight of Marketing, Human Resources, Client Intake, Client Service, as well as the firm’s fee agreement, billing, and filing practices. Mr. Hein serves as the supervisor and trainer for all of the legal staff and the joint supervisor of the Firm Administrator. Mr. Hein also serves as the General Counsel for the law firm, its Board of Directors, and Officers, reviewing and negotiating all contracts with third party vendors and advising the law firm as it continues to grow as a business.

In 2015, he spearheaded the effort to open an office in the Bay Area.
