Doula service childbirth support and childbirth education. I am a RN with experience in childbirth and childbirth education. My role as a Doula is non-​medical providing emotional and physical comfort care for the laboring and postpartum Mom

History

Established in 2014.

My slow but sure journey began with training as a nurse 24 years ago. I was pregnant with my first child while attending nursing school One of the internships that I requested was at Grossmont Women s center now known as Sharp Healthcare (My next internship round would be at UCSD Pediatric Clinic). i was exposed to many births and general obstetric healthcare issues. Being nearly 9 months along made me the prime specimen for fetal heart monitoring practice. Since that time i have worked as a Telemetry and Hospice nurse (namely palliative care or comfort care). I didn’t realize Doula’s existed until about 5 years ago so I’m thrilled to now be a part of the doula world. i am also a volunteer doula for a wonderful hospital here in San Diego In addition, I am a childbirth educator providing private classes to those wanting more empowerment toward their birthing experience Lactation consultant is the next feature I’ll add to the mix of the different ways I can help new Moms

I believe that all birth experiences are unique and ALL are natural however your baby comes into this world. You, your baby and family are my main focus. You are the one to choose how you want your birth to go and I am here to support that the best I can under whatever the circumstance. I am a continuous presence during your labor and delivery, providing physical, emotional, and informational support.
