I have had many vehicles smogged here over the years and they have always been great. They have changed owners since my last visit and let me tell you, they got even better! The service today was impeccable. I have honestly never had such a good experience when smogging a vehicle. I will definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

Single handedly my best experience while getting a smog check. I kinda wish they were more than a smog test joint as I would take my car back there in a heart beat.

I come here every two years to have my smog done. Unlike every other smog/​repair shop in town; there are no broken down cars with hoods up, hoodlums/​employees standing around talking about last nights score, parking issues, or price changes. I have never made an appointment which hasn’t been an issue and am always in n out quick.
As far as customer service… This isn’t a smog check boutique or concierge service. Its a smog check. Here’s my car, here’s some cash, you passed, thanks for coming. Thanks again mr Lee

Fast and friendly service. I was in and out in less than 40 minutes. Small sitting area but they are right next to Sonic so 40 minutes flew right by. I’d recommend this place to everyone. They have great prices too!

The man who runs this appears to do it singlehanded, and he does a great job. He is polite, and works very quickly. Even with one man ahead of me, I was out of there in under a half hour. My only complaint, and it has nothing to do with the job he does which is great, is that the waiting area had spiderwebs on the chairs and trash on the floor and the trashcan was overflowing. It was a Monday morning, so it was carryover trash. Maybe it’s just a girl thing…

When arriving at the smog place, I had to wait about 30 mins. They were a tad busy, which was fine since I had other things to do. So I left and came back and they took great care of my vehicle! Very informative and explained car lingo in a way I understood:)

I have gone to this place for years (4 smogs) because it was a good price and hardly ever very busy. It was like a hidden gem, even though it sits at a busy intersection. It’s now under new ownership, which is good and bad. The new owners did raise the price a little bit, but they are much more friendly than the previous owner. So, I felt like their personalities made up for the small price hike. I was wanting to get a smog service done yesterday, but there were literally 6 cars sitting in the lot, so, I decided I would go this morning instead and beat the crowd! However, when I went there today — even though their «Hours of Operation» sign says 8 am to 5 pm on Tuesdays — there is «nobody home» at 10:20 am! So, I guess someone else gets my business today!!! Minus 2 stars for unreliability!

I’ve been coming to this establishment of a very long time and it appears Mr. Lee has retired. However, the employees there a quite knowledgeable and very friendly. It is still the same rate and not to mention the same great service.

Needed to get a smog check so the first place that came to mind was this place. I had been here before about 6 years ago and had no problems so why not go back again. It appears the facility is owned by new owners since the last time I was here; no problem. The people were very nice and the price of the test was actually lower than what i was expecting to pay. The test only took about 15 minutes and after the staff explained the results to me and provided recommendations. I was pleased with the experience and will be back again in 2 years. CHECK IT OUT.

I’m in the process of buying my brother’s 94′ Buick Le Sabre, and unexpectedly found out the smog check had to be done this year in order to finally get the new tags (registration was paid back in September, and due to the vehicle not being under my name or address as of yet all information regarding this issue has been sent to Orange County and is being relayed to me via word of mouth… You know how reliable that could be at times especially when it’s not directly effecting the people receiving said info. Meanwhile, I’ve gotten a parking citation for bad tags parked on the street and then when moving the car, and parking INSIDE the apartment complex, I then receive a warning citation for bad tags from the security patrol that patrols the complex at night stating the next time I park INSIDE the complex the vehicle would be towed for bad tags!) Needless to say as soon as I got word the registration was pending the smog test I got on that ASAP.
I chose to come here honestly because it was literally less than a mile away and when I had called for a quote on the price the dude who answered was professional and got to the point (gave me the straight up out the door price $ 60, and did point out it was more expensive given my vehicle was older than 1995 and would require additional tests) I remember getting the same vehicle smogged in Orange County for my brother a couple years back and remember paying $ 72 I think it was so I didn’t even bother attempting to find a better price.
I went first thing this morning to avoid waiting (they seemed packed the day before around 1pm when I first thought of going) and they were very welcoming. I was offered coffee or tea while I waited and they even had a bowl of jolly ranchers which was cool.
They explained to me it would still cost me $ 51 if it were to fail (probably the only downside if you were unlucky enough to have that happen) and then got to it. The guy was pretty cool in that he pointed out a couple of things to look out for that could be easily fixed by yourself to help insure a successful future smog test. The actual smog test was pretty fast as well. My vehicle passed and I was on my way.
In summary, I took a gamble coming here when I needed it most and was not disappointed. If I happen to be in or around Santee for future testing I would definitely be a repeat customer.

Took both my vehicles here and had excellent service. It’s locally owned and operated by a family which in my opinion is the best. Greeted with a smile, no wait time, explained everything and gave advice on keeping smog reports to compare year to year. We will defiantly be taking our vehicles here for every smog.

I took my truck there two years ago and had a great experience. This year, however, was a much different story! They told me my truck was missing the EGR valve (however, after 3 previous successful smogs, this was hard to believe) They charged me $ 61 then told me if I get it fixed and come back, the charge would only be $ 35! After my boyfriend and I did some research, and called our mechanic, we found a number of resources that proved the tech wrong so when we came back to plead my case, he was BEYOND rude! He went as far as accusing us of cheating the system and many other choice insults. Within 60 seconds he was yelling at me!
So, I went to the B.A.R (the state department that oversees the smog process) and they put me in contact with a local «referee» that had the resources to confirm that my truck DID NOT require the valve. He said this was not the first time someone has contacted him about that shop and suggested that I follow through with a formal complaint to get my money back in the event that they are not willing to complete the smog at no charge.
Please choose another shop! This tech doesn’t know what he’s doing (he can’t be more than 30 years old!) — all they want is your money, he is not at all interested in providing any service to you!
