My boat broke down near MarineMax, so we had it worked on there. They were backlogged with work and it took about 10 days to get the boat looked at and another couple weeks to get it fixed. While the boat was on land, I asked if they could install a Hummingbird Fish Finder for me, which they agreed to do. When I purchased this fish finder, I was told at West Marine that it would take «less than 2 hours to install». MarineMax charged me for 4 hours of labor and I was highly disappointed.
That being said, they do good work and their help is very friendly… but the company, overall, seems more eager for the $$$ than repeat business.

I bought a new boat at Marinemax 2 years ago and keep it in the marina. Great location to access the Gulf of Mexico as well as Sarasota Bay. Service has been great and all of the staff treats you very well. I plan on buying my next boat here too.
