Established in 1987.
Michael Klauber opened his new restaurant on East Avenue in 1987, giving the small town of Sarasota a fresh and innovative place to dine.
Entering into the 29th year of service, Michael’s On East has positioned itself as a leader in the fine dining industry. There are many different reasons as to why the restaurant has prospered over the last two decades. Some believe it is the extraordinary cuisine. Others — the exceptional level of service. But, most feel it is both. Michael’s philosophy has always been very simple: to treat his guests the way he would want to be treated. His emphasis on quality permeates every aspect of the restaurant’s operation. You can see it in the eclectic menu, in the artful presentation of the entrées, in the impeccable service, and in the intimate ambiance of the restaurant.
