Oh, from where do I start? So much to say but will try to keep as minimum as possible!
I was a first time home buyer. A good friend of mine recommended me to the Walker group.
I had been in the market for a couple of months looking for homes but nothing worked out as planned. Then I met Mary and from the get-​go I was impressed by her professionalism and go
getter nature. She explained me the whole home buying process well and her role in that process.
I worked mostly with Mary and a little bit with Keith. But both are experts in this field.
When we finally found a home we liked, Mary was very thoughtful in framing the offer and making sure that our offer gets accepted without costing me an arm and a leg in this competitive market. Good negotiator. She was very diligent, very quick in responses and working on the case and getting things done. She also has a good network of inspectors which I used for inspection of my home which helped me. When I was confused in making decision, she gave me valuable advice and helped me get over the finishing line.

I had been struggling as a prospective first time homebuyer in the very competitive Bay Area market for a few years. After practically giving up for a time, I decided to try again and eventually found my way to the Walker Group. With their help, I was able to finally find and buy my first home.

We went to market confident that we had disclosed everything prospective buyers would need to know to make an informed purchase. Not only that, but the house was «packaged» beautifully. The whole team worked to insure our house shown like the gem we believed it to be. Likewise, because they belong to a national network of independent realtors of the same caliber as Intero, they were able to link us up with an a quality realtor in the east.
Let’s face it, selling a home is fraught with anxiety, and our experience was no different. Our house went on the market one week after interest rates rose a full point. Even as the market cooled, Keith and Mary kept calm, which allowed us to do the same. We closed on the house a week ago. At the end of the day, we consider ourselves fortunate to have Keith and Mary on our side professionally and blessed to count them as friends.

With Keith and Mary’s help we were able to buy the first home we made an offer on, without an all cash offer. As first time home buyers, their strategic advice was essential in helping us create a competitive offer without over-​extending our budget or having to wave vital steps like the home inspection. Their consistent communication throughout the process made us very comfortable, even when we were anxious to hear back from the sellers. Lastly, we appreciated that Mary was able to arrange walk-​thrus for all the homes we were interested in, from San Jose and Campbell, to Scott’s Valley and Boulder Creek. Great experience overall!

I have had the pleasure of working with Mary and Keith both in selling my home during the low part of the recession and in purchasing a home in Willow Glen this past year. My home in Cupertino sold over asking and over a weekend. A year later they worked with me in purchasing my new home in Willow Glen, which I purchased much less than the asking price. Both of my transactions went very smoothly. The purchase of my new home was a reverse mortgage purchase and was a lot more complicated, but, they handled it so professionally and without a glitch.

The purchase in 2012 was a piece of cake. We selected a few properties that we wanted to see via Redfin/​Trulia etc. Mary didn’t just open the door for us, but she helped us to talk to the current owners (to learn about their situation and willingness to sell), and also pointed out potential maintenance issues (eg: cracked fireplace) that we would not have noticed without her trained eye.
We were buyers in a multiple offer situation and were willing to pay a premium over the asking price. Through his network, Keith was able to find out that the other offers were not very strong. On the morning the offers were due, he called and told us to adjust down to the a full-​price offer and it would be ours!
The sale of our condo in 2013 also went very well. Keith provided guidance through a potentially sticky tenant and neighbor dispute. Once we were ready to sell, the Walker Team lined up their go-​to team of vendors (contractor, cleaning, property inspection, termite inspection) — which were all ready to go on the first day at the condo! At the last minute, the tenants complained so we had to reschedule the inspections, and those vendors thankfully were extremely understanding and flexible, which is a testament to Keith and Mary’s relationship with them.
Again there was a multiple-​offer situation, but this time we were the Seller. Keith helped us to navigate through the situation and help us to understand the strengths of each offer (higher price vs no contingencies).
As an icing on the cake – they throw awesome client appreciation parties!

The Walker Team have been our family’s go to realtor for almost a decade. Our parents originally worked with them to sell a home in Cupertino and buy one in San Jose and recommended them highly. When it came time for my husband and I to buy our first home in 2009 we looked around and talked to a few realtors but were very impressed with the organization, responsiveness and success records of the Walker Team. We wanted to upgrade a few things before selling the condo and they managed that entire process (from picking finishes and meeting inspectors, cleaners, and contractors, to finalizing all the staging details) for us which was amazing as we were completely focused on work and updating the new house. They did such an excellent job positioning the house that we got 20% more for it than what we bought it at even considering the terrible dip the market took just last year.
Their network of agents, connections, and friends have been excellent resources and contacts over the years as we’ve endeavored to do improvements and get help with basic household related tasks.

Keith and Mary run the Walker Team business as just that, a business. There are so many Realtors out there that do Realty in their spare time, or as a side job, but Keith and Mary know the job inside out and genuinely give there all for their clients. Both of them will listen intently on what it is the client is looking for, and then tell them the truth about what a realistic goal for them might be, not just what they want to hear at the time. Their guidance helped us to sell our home, getting twelve offers in one weekend showing, and an offer that was well over our asking price. In addition, they found a home for us that was a near perfect fit for what we were looking for.

We met Mary at an open house and were very impressed with the way she was presenting the home to potential buyers. We were first time buyers, looking to buy a home in the competetive bay market, and had no idea what was in store. During our first meeting, Keith and Mary took us through a presentation of the entire process.
