Walden West Special Events, located in the hills above Saratoga, has what you need for your group’s next special event or meeting — beautiful scenery that creates a sense of tranquility, large and small meeting areas, on-​site dining facilities, and more.

On weekends during the school year, and many days in the summer, Walden West is available to youth and adult groups for a variety of activities, including weddings, special dates of remembrance, company workshops and picnics, church retreats, music and language groups, and private parties. The minimum charge is for a group size of 50.

History

Established in 1950.

Since the 1950’s Walden West has operated primarily as a outdoor science school for children to visit with their schools to learn about all things nature! Since then, Walden West has expanded their programs to welcome weekend retreat groups, corporate strength build retreats and now special events. With a revamped facility that can host 200 people and such a beautiful landscape — couples can now celebrate their most precious moment together with the help of Walden West’s Special Events staff.

Our new manager for Special Events was brought on in 2011 to help give Walden West an experts perspective and touch. Each meeting and special event is personally handled and designed with the guidance of Shannon’s event planning experience. She will work individually with each client to ensure the day is as special and unique as the client booking it.

Whether you are planning a lavish affair or a professional meeting, she can help. With experience in assisting individuals as well as corporations, she has the keen eye and the creativity to make your event smooth and flawless.

Walden West has a strong team because it isn’t possible for just one person to pull off amazing! From the facilities managers, kitchen staff and gourmet chef the Walden West Special Events team HAS IT ALL!
