Gino’s of Sayville

I would give this place negative stars if it was allowed, but since it is not allowed I guess one star. The food is actually really good and I enjoy the pizza, but the staff is another story. I have never in my life felt so humiliated and embarrassed by a staff. How dare your staff flat out call a customer a liar over the phone? I know for a fact when I called my order in tonight (⁶⁄₁₅) I said I wanted it for delivery three times, but the girl who took my order kept saying you want it for pick up and I needed to keep correcting myself. I thought it was odd that the pizza I ordered took longer than the 40 minutes the girl said over the phone. So once an hour passed, I called up to find out what was taking so long and I got told over the phone by the girl that answered that my pizza was on its way and should be arriving any minute. I figured there must of been a couple of more deliveries than expected or a delivery driver May of called out which is explainable. Then another ten minutes past and still no pizza, so my dad calls back to find out what is the issue. The guy on the phone says the pizza was for pick up and has been there waiting for us to pick up the whole time. Wow, that’s odd cause about ten minutes ago the girl said it was out for delivery. I am just appalled at that fact that your employee had the audacity to call a customer a liar. That is not an employee who I would want working in my store or restaurant. As a manager, I am beyond belief that an owner would allow his employees to talk to customers like that over the phone. I can only imagine how these employees talk to customers in the restaurant. I guess it’s unfortunate for my family since we actually enjoyed Gino’s good, but because of this horrible experience, we will have to take our business back to Sal’s or Sayville.

I had previously wrote a great review of Gino’s BUT today at 6:20pm my daughter ordered a pie for delivery, she was told 45 minutes. Well at 7:20 she called back and girl who answered phone said driver should be there any minute, ok what’s a few minutes, now I live app ¾ min from Gino’s so 10 minutes later I called back and the GUY who answered the phone told me «Oh yeah your pie is right here on top of the oven» I said we ordered delivery and he tells me no your daughter said pickup, really I was sitting next to her when she ordered it PLUS girl told us it was with delivery guy so who is the LIAR! Then he has the nerve to ask me if I still want the pie which now has been sitting there for 1 hour and 15 minutes I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN, THE NERVE TO ACCUSE MY DAUGHTER OF LYING, go to SAYVILLE PIZZA OR SAL’S they would have taken care of their customer!

I was pleased to discover that this pizzeria is under new ownership. On my recent visit I ordered a meatball parmigiana hero. It was an amazingly delicious experience. The bread was lightly toasted, the meatballs were smoothly succulent with just the right amount of gooey melted mozzarella. I asked for sauce on the side and it was tangy and very flavorful. On top of being one of the best meatball parm sandwiches that I have ever had… Gino’s made my experience all the better by serving it on real China! I met the owner and shared my joy of finding the perfect meatball hero! Tell them Mr B sent you from Unilocal and maybe you’ll get a free garlic knot!

Best pizza on Long Island! The vodka slice is da bomb. The pizza men behind the counters are friendly and helpful.

Best Sicilian pizza in Sayville-​9 thick slices. Great specials. Delicious specialty pizzas (chicken, bacon, ranch pizza, buffalo chicke, BBQ chicken). Delivery is always fast! Restaurant is clean and staff is friendly.

Great pizza. Luv the food and they have someone that worked close to our house in a competitor that makes a difference working there now. Good stuff.

Great restaurant! Loved the pizza, the chicken fingers soooo good and the meatball hero melts in your mouth, great sauce and bread .

BEST PIZZA on the Island but BEWARE of the PARKING LOT… people in the store are friendly, place is clean, prices are good! I mean, what more can one say! i believe a good pizza is all in the sauce. and these people know how to make it! Nothing has changed here but the name… and a great lunch special! BUT, IF I HAVE TO MOVE MY CAR AFTER I EAT TO PATRONIZE STORES DOWN THE BLOCK, I WILL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! People, BEWARE, THEY ARE TOWING CARS LEFT AND RIGHT IN THAT LOT! and is because store owners complained to landlord. So that pizza can be pretty expensive if you don’t watch it! I have been getting my pizza elsewhere, even tho I love Gino’s, NOT WORTH IT! Try Sal’s, ONE BLOCK EAST. pretty darn good! And the parking is not a problem!

Very happy that they always have vegan slices! Staff is very nice too!
