Found this place after a google search for «byob»…and was I in for a surprise! It was byob… the thai pizza was amazing (would have been perfect if they had shriracha sauce)…the fetacini cedro was ridiculous! The service was good but its sad this place was as dead as it was cause the food and byob itself should warrent a full houe at all times… try it out we’ll def be back

Prices are cheap, but the two times I have gotten pizza there, I was disappointed. One time, the pizza was undercooked (soggy crust, cheese wasn’t melted enough), the second time, there was hardly any sauce – just dry, very dry. Wouldn’t order from here again.

Not terrible but certainly not worth going back. We tried the calamari based on a recommendation from another review and had to send the first order back because it was so over cooked. The second batch was better but not worth going back for. The sauce was good but the calamari itself seemed to me to be of the frozen variety straight out of the bag.
We also ordered a cesar salad which was bag quality with bacon flavored croutons and came with olives, which was unusual.
The pizza we selected was the Mediterranean which also was mediocre. It was very similar to a frozen pizza in both taste and texture.
Service was good, but overall, we won’t be going back. Not even the BYOB can save this place for us.

My friends and I originally tried this place because we lived very nearby. Now we commute back down to it because we just can’t get enough of their deep dish.
Once or twice a week several of us will stop in for some of their fabulous deep dish pizza. Some might describe it as being like Giordano’s. I say it’s better. I’ve had both pizzas within 24 hours of eachother, and Giordano’s just couldn’t match the freshness of L’Olivo’s.
If you’re looking for a great-​tasting fresh deep dish pizza for yourself or to bring your out-​of-​town friends to, this is that place. Great prices too — you can’t get deep dish this good anywhere else for this price!

The reason we chose to go to L ‘Olivio is mainly because it’s one of the few BYOB places in Schaumburg. The food was decent and so were the prices. However, there was nothing amazing about the food or anything that really made me want to go back.
If you are looking for a BYOB place in the suburbs though, this isn’t a bad one.

The food is good, the location is good, the service is fast and the prices are good.
But anytime I go there, there is a 5 year olds birthday, or some sort of chaotic event. To reflect this, I notice they just raised a sign «mini-​banquets» under their main name.
Speaking of signs… L’Olivo has all these seizure-​inducing signs in the window flashing LED’s with words like «Pizza» and «Open» it reeks of desperation…
My advice — the food IS good… get it for take out or delivery!

It’s hard to work in Schaumburg. The lunch options are almost entirely chains. L’Olivo is a shining exception. They offer pastas, soups, sandwiches, and salads, all at very affordable prices. The dining room is a bit bare bones, but the people are friendly, and you generally don’t have to fight a crowd during lunch. All the food I’ve had here has been delicious and fresh. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Although I like to support non-​chain restaurants, I will not be going back to this place. I tried their L’Olivo Primavera pasta and had to throw it out. It tasted like a cup of salt was added to the pasta sauce. I also tried their Chicago stuffed pizza and it was mediocre.

We picked this place based upon byob.
For appitizers we got the breadsticks with cheese on the inside. It was average, I could have heated up some frozen ones up at home.
We got the spinich artichoke dip it would have been good but it came with Mexican tortilla chips and the chips were salty.
The best part of the whole experience was the byob!

Gotta love the BYOB… and the food was very tasty! Prices are good so you can try lots of things, had the L’Olivo sticks and bruscetta as an app, both very good. I had the build your own pasta, arabiatta w/​calamari and spinach. Sauce was spicy like it’s supposed to be. Tiramisu was homemade and delish. Plus, went with a group and were not rushed to get out of there. So a good place to go and visit w/​friends.

This is a causal Italian restaurant, one thing caught in my eyes were BYOB, yes! I didn’t have a dinner over there but just had a BBQ chicken chop salad for carry out, i was ordered a small one but it’s huge, big portion, greens and beans are fresh and the dressing just perfect to the salad, I noticed so many people in the line during lunch time, from appetizer to pasta they are so many variety and prices are not expensive. Maybe next time I should stop by for dinner.

This is my favorite local Italian restaurant. It’s very low key but that;‘s what makes it special. I have yet to have any meal I didn’t enjoy. It’s cheaper then Moretti’s down the streen and way better in my opinion. I wish they were open Sundays. Also don’t forget it’s BYOB.

BYOB in the burbs!!! Ok this place in a strip mall is not really recognizable nor in the best location, but I was pretty content with this place. Perfect place if you want to grab a couple bottles of wine, eat some good food, and just hang out. Wait staff is happy to serve you and not rushing to get you out of the place either. Really relaxed atmosphere. The food was great too! I had the L’olive veggie pizza, out of my friends I was told that I had the best meal! :) Yeah, point for Phil. Now that I think about it, I was actually impressed with this place. Its nothing fancy dancy nor dive rating but really good all around.

Found this place from going to the crappy bar in the same strip center. L’Olivo is a great place to have a casual meal. Carry-​out or delivery works here too. I’ve eaten most of their pasta dishes – the chicken broccoli fusili is my favorite right now. Their avocado salad is to die for and the lunch size is more than enough (same goes with the pasta). I love that they let you order a «baby salad» when you eat in the restaurant. A tiny salad to compliment your meal, and for cheap (they don’t seem to «know what I’m talking about» when i ask for this for a delivery order, but seem happy to let us have it for dine-​in.) Can’t wait to try the pizza now after reading these reviews!

L’Olivo is off the beaten path. I enjoyed my food. I ordered the chicken picatta and my wife ordered the ravioli. Her ravioli was good.
The ambiance is nothing special, but since it’s BYOB, it’s a good place to enjoy a low key Italian meal with a nice glass of wine or three.
They also have a brick oven pizza. I’m looking forward to trying their pizza.
I agree with other reviewers that the staff is very nice. The prices are very reasonable and a lot less than most Schaumburg eateries. Most entres are between $ 8-​$ 11. At lunch I think you order at the counter and for dinner they provide table service.

For a strip mall restaurant that looks like it would be nothing special its actually super!!! Food is affordable, service is exceptional, atmosphere is relaxing. Since the prices are low I highly recommend trying out a few things, you wont be sorry!

This is a cute casual place, the food is pretty good. I like the bruchetta and the goat cheese and rasberry salad. The tequila lime pasta and mediterranian pizza is very good. Its BYOB so thats a plus!
We rented it out for a bridal shower, no plating fee for cakes and you dont have to buy their desserts and you are welcome to decorate too…
10÷27÷07 went here again for a 1st b-​day party, OMG they have these cheese breadsticks which are delicous!
