Mitsubishi- Schaumburg/ Elgin

I have a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and had it serviced at this dealership. Hands down, this place has the worst customer service I have ever received from any automotive service shop let alone the actual dealership. My daily driver is a Toyota and the difference is day and night between dealerships.
I recently brought my car in for transmission work and after they charged me an hour of labor, the technician said it was «working 95% better». So after I paid and test drove it, I realized that they did absolutely nothing. And to tip me over the edge, Mitsubishi finally issued a safety recall in mid-​2015 for the passenger side airbag and this dealership wanted to me pay a minimum of 2 hours to have them remove my aftermarket stereo and accessories in order to perform the recall. Why should I have to pay for Mitsubishi to fix their faulty airbags?
Needless to say, I will be filing a complaint with Mitsubishi as well as the NHTSA. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy a Mitsubishi from here. Better yet, don’t buy a Mitsubishi at all. Stick with Toyota or Honda.

Bought a new outlander sport last week from Pete and I have to say I am beyond satisfied. Pete went through all my options with my credit, payments, and he went out of his way to make my first car buying experience perfect. Also, after purchasing the car, he followed up with me multiple times to make sure I was satisfied, he arranged to get my previous car towed from my house. Not only have I gotten my car from Pete, but two of my other friends have as well, and I would recommend this dealership to any and everyone! Everyone was very accommodating, and friendly. Thank you Pete and thank you Schaumburg Mitsubishi!!!

Could not have asked for a better experience buying a new car! Pete was fantastic! He was so helpful, honest and willing to work with me to get the exact car I wanted! I went in just to look around and walked out with a brand new Outlander Sport. I will be referring all my friends and family to Pete and the friendly staff at Mitsubishi Schaumburg!

Just bought a brand new outlander and had the best car buying experience ever. Went to a few dealerships in the area and just did not feel comfortable. Pete is amazing and worked with my credit and different options. Did not feel pressured at all and I’m extremely satisfied with my car. The whole staff was very friendly I just wish I stopped in this dealership earlier! I would really recommend this place to anyone looking for a car!

Pete was courteous and knowledgeable. He matched the sale price of other Mitsubishi dealer. Transaction went smoothly. Financing was a breeze with the help of Chris. I added remote engine start and it got done immediately. This is my second Mitsubishi car. I highly recommend Schaumburg Mitsubishi dealer.

We’ve bought four cars from Chris over the years. Yes, we still have to do the haggling for at least an hour, but he understands we mean business and cares enough about our business. They really earn 5 stars for their service. I had my oil changed here on a weekday around 2pm. It wasn’t too crowded, maybe three other cars were there. I was in and out in under 30 minutes. The service rep was courteous and took his time. They even turned on the Evo for me to listen to it’s engine while I was waiting. My knees went weak.

Just helped my daughter buy her first new car. Great car, great service and personal attention. Sales team was great and worked with her to find the best deal around, hands down!

I go here religiously for an oil change. The $ 30 oil change offers the service plus an all around car check. So that’s what I expect.
A week prior to taking my car in, I started hearing a rattling towards the back of the car when I hit the gas. Taking it in for the all around car check, I expect them to catch it. Did they? No. I even asked, «did you hear or see anything towards the back of the car?» Tech says no. I then tell him about the rattling. His response? «The weather is changing so perhaps it has to do with that.» Um ok… So I leave because I clearly see he doesn’t care an doesn’t want to look into it farther.
3 days later and I go to Burd’s Auto Bay in Streamwood. They find the problem, explain the problem, fix it, and charge me a crazy low rate. Rattling is forever gone. They then explain if I would have come in any later, the situation could have gotten worse to the degree where the damage could have been thousands of dollars.
Needless to say, Schaumburg Mitsubishi has lost my respect and will never profit from me again.

I was in the area and went in for an oil change. All of the staff encountered at the dealership were friendly and provided exceptional customer service. I was in and out in less than an hour.

this review will be just for the service shop at this dealership. i gotta say i’m a fan because my car was about to break down (who would believe 2011 car would do that) and it was an unknown problem for the guys at the shop. on a corporate suggestion by Mitsubishi Motors they fixed the problem in less time that i was expecting. i took the car in 2 days before thanksgiving and i was hoping to get it back at the beginning of December. i got pretty surprised when i got the call from the shop manager a week later saying that the transmission has been replaced and the car is good to go. not to mention that they did provide me a rental car for all that time my car was at the shop. great job folks, keep it up

Loved this dealer! Went to a competitor a few days earlier and basically got told if I don’t agree to buy that night then they can’t show me vehicles…
My boyfriend suggested this Mitsubishi since he bought his car here a couple years ago. We were greeted by Jason (who was great!!) and told him what we were looking for, etc. He wasn’t pushy throughout the process and really listened to what I was looking for. Didn’t pressure me to «come in and lets work numbers», he asked when I was thinking to buy and asked if the numbers are right would I want to take it home that day. Never felt like I had to go inside or say yes to anything that made me feel uneasy.
Working with the finance guys was painless, he went over all numbers. Didn’t try to hide anything. I know the company needs to make a profit but we still got a good deal.
At the final stages, Chris was very helpful and told us about the extended warranty which made sense for this vehicle and the time frame that we’ll have it. Got it for a good price too.
Overall, great experience with the scary process of buying a car. Will definitely use their service center and plan to make my future vehicle purchases with them.

Decent lot with many used non-​Mitsu cars and more. Customer parking is very small in size, so the earlier the better. I submitted an on-​line request for information which went quickly when it came to Internet responses. But when I showed up at the store, my request to see the Internet manager went without any regard. Test drove a few cars and found the sales guys to have a 60% knowledge of their product which didn’t bode well with me.
In the end because the Internet guy dragged with getting back, my frustration drove me to buying from a competitor. What’s worse is since then I continue to receive calls from Mitsubishi corporate as to the status of my car buying.
AArrggh, I dislike robo-​calls.

Love them. This dealership is less than a mile from my office, so I always take my Mitsubishi here. They can get me in for an oil change on a moment’s notice, and they even wash it when they change the oil. They are super-​friendly. They are helpful whether you need to buy a little part or have your car towed in from God-​knows-​where because it won’t start (both have happened to me). My only gripe is that I wish they offered a ride to and from workplaces within a reasonable distance while getting your car serviced. Firestone over by the mall offers that, so I generally take my car over there for anything outside of an oil change.

The service department really looks after your car. I have a 1999 Eclipse GSX and this is the only place I trust my car with, even for oil changes.
I’ve brought my car here and Keith is always looking out for me. He and the mechanical crew know what they are doing. If you have some repairs that require overnight work, you can count on them to provide a loaner too.

i’ve purchased 4 new vehicles in my life and i must say… this was the fastest by far. it was a very «odd» purchase process, i must say… dunno how to explain it…
anyways, they were very good, a bit pushy but all car sales peeps are like that. i don’t understand why the service hours are closed on satrudays. that totally blows yo.
they didnt have the exact 07 outlander i wanted, so they had to switch outlanders with another dealer… so for whatever reason, the battery in that outlander on hand died LOL… and they had to jump start that sucker. good thing i wanted the switch.

I recently purchased a car from this dealership. I was very satisfied with their service and the salesman that helped me pick out the car was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. I got a pretty good deal and am happy with my purchase. However, the only thing I don’t like about this dealership is that their service center has very odd hours, its only open Monday thru Friday, 9am to 5pm. Makes it kind of hard to get some service done if you work those hours!
