Schaumburg Honda Automobiles

My wife got new tires for FIT and repair guy dented brand new wheel (Mugen version!) banging with hammer!!! It was too dark to see it when the car is ready and my wife just drove back from this dealer. She went back to the dealer and claimed but they just fired this repair guy and did nothing to her damaged wheels. Horrible experience with this dealer. We bought this FIT from this dealer and have been taking her car to this dealer for 5 years. Then, this happened. Damaged our FIT’s wheels with hammer and do nothing. Watch out for your wheels when you change your tires!

Took my new 2015 Odyssey for first service. I went to customer service agent who checked me and told me it might take up to an hour as I didnt make appointment prior.
I said okay, I will be back in one and half hr. Once I came back after one and half hr, car was not done. When I asked about it the customer agent was so rude that he didnt give me status on it.
He said they are working on it and will be coming out shortly. This is about two hrs since I dropped of my car.
Then that customer agent whom I was dealing with went to lunch so I asked someone else who was there working and he said there is no Honda Oddyssey getting worked inside.
I was so furious at that point. At that point, I realised they took my keys for service but made mistake in paper work.
So after all this I got my car back off service after 4 hrs. I was very pissed of at that point. This is due to lack of customer service and some paper work issue.
Now comes to service department, A1 service also requires tire rotation. I asked them did you guys do tire rotation? then they said I dont need it.
They should give multi point inspection signed by technician who performed the work and inspection, they didnt give me. I had to ask for it.
Even that form was filled on computer front of me and given to me (seriously?)
Not going there again!

I am personally astounded what I am about to say, but its true. I found a used car dealer with honesty and integrity. Buying a used vehicle during struggling economic times can be stressful at best. I have bought more than one used Honda from Schaumburg Honda. I buy Honda for the reliability of the vehicle, I will always buy at Schaumburg Honda for the honesty and integrity they have demonstrated. We as consumers can be at the whim of those who seek to profit by not disclosing service issue. You buy a car as is, it is just that. A service issue happened after buying a Honda CRV as is and this dealership stepped up and is taking care of it. WOW! My most sincere appreciation to Danny, the used car manager and Roger (Big Mac). When my boys are out of college in the next couple of years, or they are looking for a car, this is where I am taking them too! Absolutely. These two gentlemen name will be the first recommendation I give anyone. A++++++ I can not emphasize enough how impressed I am.

In my opinion, if you go with an open mind, Schaumburg Honda team will take great care of you. They will guide you through the process of car buying and make it a pleasurable experience.

I bought a certified 2009 Honda Pilot in 2011 (not from here) and the powertrain warranty is still valid. I was getting my brakes done at a local shop and they told me they noticed the car shaking/​vibrating when driving over 45 mph. It’s my wife’s car and she didn’t notice the vibration; she only drives locally. I drive the car about once a week and noticed it about a month ago. I thought the tires were unbalanced. I was told it was possibly the driveshaft (pretty much a pole underneath the car that makes 4×4 work). I also got a printout of failed diagnostic test that had a bunch a fails/​faults. I said great, my warranty should cover that and brought it to Schaumburg Honda. I forgot to mention, I was getting the brakes done mostly because we’re planning a road trip right after Christmas.
Making the appt. was easy, I picked the day and time I wanted to come in. I told them I had a warranty and they said no problem. I show up two days before Christmas, explain what’s going on, and he tells me to sign the form. I look and it says $ 280. I said wo-​wo-​wo. I have a warranty. I was about to leave and noticed my car had already been taken away. He explains to me that I have a bunch of faults and it’s going to take 2 hours to diagnose the problem. I thought to myself this doesn’t seem right, but I’ll spend $ 280 to use my warranty. The man approaches me about an hour-​and-​a-​half later and says that there’s evidence of tampering/​manual damage to my drive shaft. He said it looks like the car had gotten stuck, and a piece of metal was rubbing on the driveshaft, and someone had to bend the metal out of the way. That it had to be making a noise. I told them nothing like this had ever happened on our watch. I’m sure he’s heard that a bunch of times, but I’m being honest. Either the car was already like that, or the car was damaged during an oil change. Because of this, my warranty would not be honored. He said we’re already an hour in, would I like to proceed? It was clear I was being taken for a ride. I said to stop and chalk it up as $ 140 loss. Now that I reflect on what happened. I spent $ 140 for them to tell me that my car’s warranty was not covered! That’s it! Nothing else was done to my car. It’s obvious these guys are on commission. If this is not taken care of, I will never buy a Honda ever again. I’ve called the Honda customer service line, explained to them the situation, and they’ll get back me after the Holidays. Now I’m stuck paying out of pocket for a repair that should have been covered by the warranty. Two Thumbs Down!

Kate and the manager did not honor their word and beat the price from another dealership. They will tell you they will beat other dealership prices; however, they do not tell you about the nonsense accessories they want you to pay $ 500-​$ 1000. Wheel lock, splash guards, and mats. I told them take off the accessories and beat the price just as you told me you would. They were not interested in honoring their words. I went to Honda on Grand (Ryan is awesome) and paid exactly what they quoted me. AVOID.

So not only did my brother-​in-​law buy a new Civic from here last week, but hubby and I are adding a third vehicle to our household. Now we have 2 Honda Accords and one Honda Pilot. Do you think we love Honda?

Went back for a second oil change. Not only did it take 90 minutes longer than estimated (and he gave me a 1 hr estimate) the guy said my front brake pads were almost worn down.
Second opinion on my brake pads said I had a good 20K more miles.

Previously, I have really been a believer in this dealership. I will continue to buy my cars here in the future because I really like the sales people but I’m no longer taking my car here for service of any kind other than covered warranty work.
I called to schedule an appointment for some maintenance they suggested I have. I wasn’t super happy about having the transmission flush done so early but it’s clear from the sound my car is making that I need some brake work done.
Almost $ 800 for what I would consider pretty routine stuff. No thanks. When I talked to someone about lowering the price, the response was laughable. LAUGHABLE. The good, local mechanic is doing it for half of that, almost $ 100 lower than their «discount» price.
It was nice while it lasted (and I’ve likely been overpaying for years on the small stuff) but time to move back to the private repair sector.

Disclaimer: I didn’t buy a car here. I ended up buying a different brand all together. But I wanted to give a review of my test drive experience at this dealership with Sam A. Hooda.
Sam greeted me as I exited my rental car and asked me what I was interested in. I let him know that I wanted to test drive the Honda Accord Sport with manual transmission. He asked me to wait a little, which after a few short minutes he had keys in hand and we were on our way.
Calm and cool, I felt like a real customer with Sam. He asked me a few questions, told me a little about the car, and allowed me to enjoy my test drive of the Accord. I then asked to test drive the loaded Touring V6 model, which within another few short minutes was available and we were on our way.
Although the V6 model had more power, I was more interested in the 2.4L manual. Without any pressure, Sam gave me his card and asked me to call him or return when I was ready. This was my first day driving new cars as replacement for my old car, so I wasn’t ready to make a decision.
All in all, my experience was one of my best, and I would recommend asking for Sam for anyone interested in a new Honda.

I recently bought a car here. I was referred here by a friend & I am very glad that I was. I dealt with two people while I was here my salesman was Rodger & the manager was Ryan. Both of them made my car buying experience here excellent. Going into a new car dealership can be a big hassle & an unpleasant experience but that did not happen here.
The salesman Rodger was very friendly & very helpful. He help me find the exact car I wanted with the exact color combination. He helped me understand all of the technology inside of the car. In terms of pricing they gave me a very good deal.
When the manager Ryan came by to help with the deal he was very friendly & very helpful as well.
Overall my experience here was awesome & I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new Honda or a used car.

I came for an oil change around 9pm. The service time was very reasonable. The employees were pleasant and very helpful. I even got a free tire rotation! The waiting area is very comfortable. There is a television, free wifi, and a children’s area with toys. There are also seats that would make it very easy and comfortable to work on a laptop, while waiting to get your car serviced. Complimentary coffee and tea are also available, as well as vending machines. The space is very clean as well. I went over to look at the show room and was quite pleased. You can’t beat that new car smell! At the end of my car being serviced, i was told exactly what was done and what was being recommended to be serviced next. I would recommend Schaumburg Honda to everyone! It is conveniently located too! V. J helped us out… ASK FOR HIM!

I stopped in here for service to rectify a problem I was unable to resolve on my own on my ancient 2002 Civic that I have had WAY too long. I am a gear head, so I fix most automotive related problems myself. This is a most helpful skill set since until recently I was a dirt poor grad student driving a car with 200K + miles on it. I probably should just get rid of the Civic in all honesty, as I have 2 other cars now, but I am unable to let go of my little beast. I have forged so many great memories in the car and my level of attachment to it is strong. This may seem irrational to «normal» folks, but other car guys out there will know what I mean.
To make a long story short, when changing out the front strut assemblies last weekend I found that I was unable to torque down the outer tie rod end bolts as they just kept spinning. It became obvious after trying everything I could think of that it was a job that was going to require shop tools and a lift. My rag tag tool set and floor jack in my friend’s garage was just not going to cut it. I hate giving up on a project, but I was nearing my wits end when I placed a call to Tim Stuart, the service manager at the store.
Tim immediately recognized the problem I was having and was able to squeeze me in for a short notice appointment. The service center at this place is crazy busy BTW, so if you are needing work done on your Honda plan accordingly in advance. I would say it is safe to assume there are very few weekend mechanics out there in the Schaumburg area that know how to work on Honda.
I stopped in bright and early at 8 AM and the check in process was rapid taking maybe 5 min at the most. You just drive into the service bay and the service advisor terminals are located to your immediate left. They have a great waiting area complete with a gourmet coffee machine and Wifi, but I was not there long enough to take advantage of this. They immediatley had a driver take me to work and set up a time for me to come back in the afternoon for me to pick up the car.
When I got back at 3 that afternoon, I paid the clerk in short order and my car was sitting directly outside the door ready to roll. These folks obviously have their internal processes set up very efficiently, which is critical considering how busy they are.
I checked out the work and, not surprissingly, it was masterfully done. Taking a car to a dealer is generally the most expensive option for vehicle repair, but the benefit is their vetting process for mechanics is such that they only hire the very best. They are also people that are going to know Honda better than anyone else out there since that is all they deal with 24 – 7. Honda, Ford, Chevy, Toyota, etc. all have very specific quirks to them that only people extremely familiar with the brand know about, so for certain issues taking it to the dealer is really the best option.
I would not hesitate to take my Honda back to this store if I encounter a similar problem in the future. I am betting that my little Civic has 300K miles in her.

Professional and quality care for our 2006 Honda that we purchased here. Coupons in the mail are appreciated. They keep wait to minimum. Nice waiting area with free coffee, hot chocolate or mokaccino and pastries.

I just picked my car up today from a repair, and had such a positive experience with the service department that I had to write a review.
First of all, I purchased my Honda Pilot from Schaumburg Honda 16 months ago and had a fantastic experience with my salesperson, Jason. There was no wheeling and dealing– it was me presenting the price that I was willing to pay after doing research and shopping around, and them accepting the price and selling me the exact car I wanted. It was so easy and an ENJOYABLE car buying experience.
Recently, the rear windshield wiper wasn’t working correctly on my car and I took it in to get looked at. They made an appointment for me to come back a week later to get it fixed, and provided a loaner for me for the 5 days it took to get the work done. All I had to pay for was the gas in the brand new Civic loaner car (which was SO MUCH FUN to drive!)
They fixed the rear wiper perfectly, and I also asked that they do an oil change while they had my car, which they did.
The icing on the cake was getting back my car which had been cleaned on the inside and out! It hasn’t looked this good since the day I drove it off the lot!
Steve and Vito were the guys in the service department who helped me– both were so nice, polite, respectful, and helpful. As a woman who knows very little about car mechanics, I appreciated the «respectful» part especially. Thank you, Steve and Vito!
I will definitely be bringing my car back to Schaumburg Honda for future car service. It’s so nice to have a place to go where they treat you well AND they do a great job.

Car buying can be a rough and tedious journey. I was greeted by Irfan, he took his time and walked me around the lot to look at all new and used vehicles. He was not pushy for someone who has been selling cars for some years now, he did not try to convince me to buy something I did not. I never thought I would ever say I met an honest and knowledgable car salesman but yes this guy is the truth when it comes to buying cars ! My experience was hassle free and even though tedious having to walk around from car to car it was the most enjoyable it could have possibly been. Thank you Honda Schaumburg for only hiring the most competent to deal with when buying a car.

I can’t think of any place that gives me more anxiety than the car dealership, except maybe the dentist office or the DMV (when I’m there imploring for an extension on my sputtering dinosaur of a car’s emission test deadline). You just get that grimy Better Call Saul feeling, without the neon lights of course. You know the one.
But, alas, the folks at Schaumburg Honda were able to make the experience of leasing a car as pleasant as reasonably possible. Our salesperson, Atif, was extremely helpful and informative, without being pushy or condescending (as I’ve found seems to be the norm on my recent adventures in car shopping). He answered questions competently and didn’t waste our time with typical car salesmen gibberish, and really gave us the numbers we needed to make an informed decision on our purchase.
The process took under two hours, with no real surprises, and we didn’t walk out feeling like we just got robbed or coerced into a purchase. Atif was really great and if we were in the market to purchase another vehicle we would definitely go back and do business with him.
Also, two of the sales manager on the Friday night we leased the car, were also very cordial and helpful, I can’t remember the names exactly maybe Sal was one of them.
Look, the bottom line is, if you can walk into a dealership and are intent on buying a car, finding a good salesperson can make all the difference. We’ve walked out of several dealerships because they either sized us up and decided we weren’t really in the market for a vehicle (when indeed we were), or seemed generally uninterested in assisting us. There’s a delicate balance between not coming on too strong as a car salesman and ignoring the customer, kwim?
Anyway, if you are serious about purchasing a vehicle, definitely check out this dealership and ask for Atif. He definitely made the car leasing process smooth and straightforward. Yes, straightforward.
Don’t forget the popcorn on your way out!

Here is how the scam goes: step 1– They tell you that you need 10 different things done. You flip out. Step 2: «Well, you can probably wait on half of it and just do the really critical stuff now.» You say you still can’t afford it. Step 3: they offer you a discount on the so-​called critical stuff. You finally accept. Guess what– you only needed 1 of those services so the discount is really hundreds of dollars that you didn’t have to pay. RUN FAR FAR AWAY.
