Everyone there has it together. It was a great feeling knowing when I called that there was communication in the office. No matter whom I talked to they knew my situation and what was going on. Sital was the sweetest and was so great and prompt with communication. Zeena at Oliveaire worked on my wedding reception and since day one she was fantastic!
I live out of state and planning this event was very stressful. Zeena always made me feel better and assured me everything would turn out great even with the problems and drama that had nothing to do with Oliveaire. Zeena was seriously my angel. I can’t tell you how many times I felt like canceling the event because of the drama and stress. Zeena is someone you can trust! She had saved me from so many possibly disasters. She even brought to my attention things that the hall or other vendors didn’t tell me.
As for the décor — Zeena brought my dream to life even though I didn’t exactly know what it was I wanted. Its like she is a mind reader! Several months after the reception I still have compliments on the décor. I must add that Zeena was also very understanding and respectful of my budget. I never felt pushed into doing something I didn’t want to do.
A couple months before the reception I realized I really needed a day of planner. I was told and expected the hall I was having my reception to do things a day of planner would do. I quickly realized this was not the case and they were not reliable at all. I also realized that if I didn’t have a planner on board that there was no way I would be able to relax and enjoy my reception.
Zeena referred Margi as my planner. I can’t thank Zeena enough for giving me a second angel! Margi was amazing and I felt so much burden and stress lifted off of me. Margi took charge the day off and the planning team exceeded my expectation! Even my husband noticed things the day of and told me afterwards «if it wasn’t for Margi» this and that wouldn’t have happened. Thank you Margi!
I can not tell you how much I appreciate this team. You will learn quickly while planning a wedding or big event that it is really hard to find vendors or people you can completely rely on.

Adel from Oliveaire was a godsend,
Our special day would not have been the same without her. She was our coordinator, decorator, florist, and therapist all rolled into one. We came to her with a variety of different issues which she was able to fix, if not, find someone who could remedy the situation. She has an unshakeable calm and diplomatic demeanor that is a must in a job that deals with so many personalities in a high stress situation. She did not flinch or bat an eyelash when we told her of our crazy idea of getting married at Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, OR after watching a special on the Travel Network. In fact, she was eager and excited to make it work. She will entertain any idea and do the research giving you the pros and cons, never telling you it’s impossible.

My husband and I had the honor of working with Zeena from Oliveaire Artisan Events & Meetings for all four of our wedding events. We had four back to back events including a Mehndi at Renaissance North Shore, a ceremony at Swissotel Chicago, a reception at Intercontinental O’Hare and a Valima at Palmer House Chicago.
Planning four events can be a handful and having them back to back can be even more stressful. Zeena was my right hand throughout the entire process. I described my vision for each event to her in the very beginning and never had to describe my thoughts after that because she knew exactly how to come up with designs I would love. She and her team worked incredibly hard to make sure my events were absolutely stunning and just what I had envisioned.
We had a slight «bump on the road» come our way with our invitations which was caused by a separate vendor, but Zeena and her team stayed up all night and worked overtime to make sure the problem was fixed. This was not necessary because it was not Oliveaire’s fault, but they were there for us every step of the way.
Each event was surreal for me because of how above and beyond Zeena and her team had gone for us.
Our wedding was phenomenal and is talked about all the time when we are at gatherings. The wedding was featured in Chicago Social shortly after, due to Zeena’s expertise in planning and executing.
Working with Zeena was an experience of a lifetime. Planning a wedding should be fun, stress free and the most exciting time of a bride’s life. Zeena not only did this for me, but my husband and our families as well. We had a blast working with Oliveaire Artisan Events & Meetings! Can’t wait to plan another party with them!

Oliveaire decorated our Indian wedding — Zeena did our sangeet, ceremony and reception — and she was absolutely phenomenal.
Respected all of our wishes, came up with creative ideas that we loved, understood exactly what we wanted for our wedding and made it happen. She exceeded all of our expectations and we still get compliments 5 months later about our wedding décor.
I would recommend her with no reservations whatsoever. She is AMAZING!!!

My Husband and I got married at the Hyatt Woodfield and they included Oliveaire in their wedding coordination package. We had a huge South Asian wedding that was 4 days long and had tons of details. I was planning on hiring a someone for day of coordination but im so glad I didnt because Oliveaire took care of everything!
Oliveaire assigned Mahvish to my wedding. We met with Mahvish as much as we wanted, she was always available and always on top of things. She even looked into finding vendors for all of my other events! Mahvish was very responsive and almost always emailed me back immediately. There was even a point where the owner of Oliveaire called me to make sure that I was happy with everything Oliveaire was doing.
As we got closer and closer to the wedding, Mahvish would always call, email, text to make sure I was getting certain things done according to my timeline. She scheduled appointments, came with me when i met my vendors, and assisted me in anything else that i requested! After signing contracts with my vendors, she took over and I didnt have to worry about any of that. She made an entire day of schedule, she contacted all of my vendors for me and confirmed what time they would be getting there and leaving. She emailed all my vendors letting them know that she would be the point of contact and if they there were any issue Mahvish would keep me updated.
On the day of the wedding Mahvish and her team were there way ahead of time. They came to set up and make sure everything was as it should be. She even came to see me before the wedding to see if there was anything I needed. We had a huge bridal party as well. Before walking in, she lined up all the girls and everything went forward like clockwork! I didnt have to worry about a thing! Everything was in place, the Dj, the décor, the people. The wedding went exactly as planned and I could not have been happier.
The reception went just as well. Mahvish and her team were amazing. All my vendors were there and everything was as good as it gets! The food was out on time, the dessert was always being replenished. And at the end of the night, one of the girls from oliveaire gathers everything that is left over (décor that we brought, favors, escort cards, pictures) and she has to make sure that the right people sign off and take home exactly what they are told. Someone who wasnt on the list said they would take it home for us, and even thought it was extremely late, she still confirmed with me, and went over everything that she was signing off on. She even remembered things that i had forgotten about!
Oliveaire will always have your best interest at heart, and truly try to make your day special. I cant imagine what I would have done if I didnt have them there! And a tip for future brides… this is YOUR day, you have to be upfront and honest with what you want and what you are expecting. If you tell them that, they will deliver!!!

Oliveaire came with my package at Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier where I had my big Indian wedding. I don’t want to dwell, but I did want to make a point to post for all future brides. Not sure how their service is if you hire them as your day of coordination and decorator– but we had them mainly for our day of coordination. we used a seperate decorator.
An honest review… my family and wedding was large and certainly not easy by any means, but this company highlights themselves as a south asian specialty vendor.
As the bride, I was not pleased with the service. Throughout planning, Oliveaire did assist with scheduling appts with catering, but in the end our family worked directly with these vendors. and in the end, my family helped with most of the day of requests.
The wedding started late. we lost the dhol player. the lineup of the bridal party was messed up until I had to leave my position in line and fix it (when everything was outlined in the requested excel sheet). and when the dj wasn’t playing the song that i requested for my entry– I asked the main point of contact to talk to them and was questioned right then if I had spoken to the dj about what music I wanted. At that point, it would have just been helpful for somebody to go directly to the dj and make it happen.
Also, a lot of my stuff was not returned as promised. I sent an email trying to figure out what was going on and Oliveaire did continue to dig and look for wdhat happened but at the end of the day– nothing was found. They lost the banner that was hanging on the brooklyn bridge the day that my fiancé proposed to me. still not happy about that, but totally over it. we lost an entire box of inventory as well.
I will say that a lof the of the day of younger staff was smiley and happy and really sweet to us. I am not sure when the main point of contact left for the evening.
a guest of our wedding posted their thoughts of this service too, but Unilocal made them delete their post since they didn’t directly work with Oliveaire. Isn’t that the purpose of this site?
All in all. our wedding was beautiful, epic and amazing. and I didin’t let these small fails ruin my mood for the day, but overall– I know how expensive weddings can be– so a heads up to future brides.

This is a review about the services of Mahvish Bhatty of Oliveaire Artisan Events and Meetings for our Indian wedding. Mahvish helped us coordinate every aspect of this wedding between all of the vendors, hotel workers, event site staff, family, etc. She was consistently on top of every minor detail and helped us make sure everything occurred on time and up to our expectations. She made sure everyone performed their duties at or before deadlines, and she also ensured that there were no surprises with expenses by detailing estimated costs for each big ticket item. Finally, she went out of her way to schedule planning meetings with us at times and places that were very convenient for us. I would highly recommend her services for planning a special event… she won’t let you down.

All I can say is that I will never worry about where to go for event décor ever again! I recently had my wedding in the suburbs, unsure where to go for flowers, linens, décor, etc and one of my friends mentioned Oliveaire. I am so glad that she did! Not only were they able to truly understand my vision, but were able to work within my budget. I did spend a little bit more, but the value for my money was there. It was a dream come true and they took care of everything! Uplights around the room, the beautiful centerpieces and linens were just right. With their help, the room was completely transformed!
