History
Established in 2015.
Owners Heather and Andy Chestnut built Chez Nous («our house» or «our home» in French) to bring to Schenectady a local interpretation of French cuisine. Heather’s lifelong fascination with French cooking and Andy’s love of the French language and culture come together in an intimate setting featuring Chef de Cuisine Rob Gavel’s innovative take on regional French cuisine we’ve christened «French Country Harvestfare.» Heather and Andy are Schenectady natives whose relocation to France for 3 ½ years (1988 – 1991) sowed the seeds of this project.
