Spoon Me

Not a fan of the strange hours at all. Last time we got yogurt a few weeks ago, there was jelly like stuff coming out of the machines. I think it was machine cleaner. It was still gross though when it ended up in my cup. They should do a better job of removing the cleaning stuff before customers get their yogurt.

Place was ok. Stopped here on our way home from bowcraft across the street. It was your typical yogurt place. I was disappointed they didn’t have the original tart flavor. :(

Layered the bottom of the cup with some granola then mixed green tea yogurt with vanilla (non-​tart) and topped it off with toasted almond crumbs — delish! Aside from the yogurt it looks like they have other yummy treats like their Fit Frappes which they claim to be 130 cal. Would come back.

I recently received a message from the owner after my update earlier this year regarding my complaints about the inconsistent hours. His message was SO nice and heartfelt and basically let me know they were ironing out some kinks.
I decided to revisit and Spoon Me we are FRIENDS again!
New Hours:
Monday– Closed
Tues — Fri –9:30
Sat 1 – 10
Sun 1 – 9
Also, the reason for the EXTRA STAR: the LOWER PRICE! The yogurt is now priced at a LOW 35 cents an ounce (when other competitors are still at 49 cents!!!).
The toppings remain immaculate (of course I got my cheesecake bites).
I won’t cheat on you again Spoon Me as long a you keep treating me right (I’ve gone to several Let’s Yo’s and Red Mangos, Bohemiam Raspberry since I got mad at you).

Great flavors, they had no problem using a Unilocal deal I had, and they went out of their way to cater to me and my friend. Also, I am a big peanut butter sauce person… they had the kind that is warm, delicious, and so nutty!

This place is so far beneath their competitors its amazing to me anyone still comes here. As some others real Unilocalers noted, they have erratic hours, and closed very often, and are simply mediocre. They also clearly post fake reviews of themselves. I have never seen so many one time Unilocalers post 5 star reviews. So transparent! If you want good quality yogurt, there are so many better options,

This place is great! Love the toppings bar! The most friendly customer service, and cleanest eating establishment I’ve ever been too! That includes the bathroom! Very pleased, and close too home!

Always closed whenever they feel like it, including many random days and so-​called holidays. The yogurt is awful, like paying for watered down ice milk. Gingerbread yogurt tasted like red hots dumped into a milk blend, very bad attempt at what could have been a good flavor. Teenagers could care less about customer service, would rather talk amongst themselves and are sure to oust you out as soon as said closing time hits (which changes weekly). Overall a pathetic excuse for a business, yet another person riding the yogurt crave wave and doing a horrible job at it. So many other better tasting options that are actually open regularly !

Still lmy favorite!!! Lots of competition since my last review but this remains the best; good variety of toppings, flavors, consistent helpful and friendly staff, very clean and nice décor.

As another Unilocaler so eloquently stated, this place is extremely mediocre. With so many better options all around (4 in Westfield, 2 better options west on 22), this place is likely on a respirator. I’m told they were even closed 3 days a week in the winter. I can’t imagine the product is fresh with such little turn over. I notice most of the real Unilocal reviews were given before the fro-​yo craze was in full swing, so they were likely enamored with this «new» concept. Now that there is something to compare it to, there are no more rave reviews. Well, real ones anyway.

Delicious, but personally I feel all the yogurt places are way overpriced.

Serve your own fro-​yo! The owner and staff are very friendly and there are lots of varieties to choose from. The best part is that waffle bowls are no extra charge!!!

We’ve hit up several fro-​yo places over the summer, and this is by far the best spot we’ve been to.
The owner and staff make this place inviting and leaves a great impression on you. Other places are not as friendly, it makes a huge difference on the whole experience.
Every time we visit (which was almost 2x per week at one point) this place is spotless. They work hard on keeping it clean, and their toppings bar is always immaculate.
The flavors are amazing (peanut butter being my favorite) and the toppings are great as well. They are always introducing a new flavor, and urge you to try it out!
He values his customers, and the punch card is perfect for repeat fanatics like us!
Tl;dr: spoon me is the best spot on 22, don’t go anywhere else!

This place is great! The FroYo is phenomenal, I personally love Cookies n Cream flavor. The toppings are always fresh! Also, this matters to me a lot — The management and staff are just great. Can’t go wrong for dessert at Spoon Me, Scotch Plains!

Love it! If you are used to the tarty sweet deliciousness of Pinkberry or the FroYo trucks parked all over Manhattan, and have a hankering for tasty tarty yogurt, then Spoon Me is the «go to» spot in the area. We trekked around the other frozen greek yogurt fad spots on route 22 as there are probably four others that I know of within 10 miles going east or west. The owner of this particular frozen yogurt spot and his staff are my favorite. I would give the spot five stars if they offered it on a cone or had a sugar cone to stick on top of the cup!
The toppings are usually fresh especially the fruit. My wife only had one complaint in that the maple walnuts in sauce didn’t have real maple syrup. I personally don’t think you need to go beyong the natural tart flavor which is addicting after just one try, but that said each time we go there all the guests seem to enjoy sampling all the other flavors. There are maybe 10 or more other flavors and they are free to try.
One other thing, the hours of this place could stand to be expanded. We came early one morning and they were opening at noon, an hour after. Someone else pulled into the lot at the same time with the same idea. We both turned away diappointed that we had to wait another hour. A place open to midnight for those late night hankerings would be great too.
All in all the experience is pleasant and I am just going to stick to this one particular frozen yogurt spot. You have absolutely no reason to hit up any of the garbage ice cream spots in NJ now such as all the Dairy Queens with their fake tasting chocolate and vanilla flavors when there are tasty frozen yogurt treat options available now!

Spoon Me has a variety of flavors to choose from as well as toppings! The place was very clean — The owner is very friendly and remembers us when we come in. I love that the staff hands out tiny cups so that you can try the different flavors. We always feel really welcome when we are there — and it doesn’t hurt that the yogurt tastes really good. It does come out a little slow from the machine but its okay because then my kids don’t «over-​pour»!! GREAT yogurt spot!

I had been waiting a long time for a yogurt place like this to open in Scotch Plains and so glad as it totally met my expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful, ambiance was bright and funky and more importantly the selection of flavors, toppings was awesome. Yogurt tasted great and I will be coming back!

As self serve top it yogurt places go this place is incredibly mediocre!

This is frozen yogurt spot that recently opened. Another establishment profiting on the «froyo craze», Spoon Me lives up to the expectation of other froyo establishments, great yogurt with a wide variety of flavors and toppings.
From looking at the website, there are numerous locations in the west coast and recently started opening up in the eastern region of the USA. The décor of this place is similar to many of the other recent yogurt places that have opened up. The concept is similar to the typical froyo spots, try the yogurt, get what you want, put on your toppings, and pay by weight.
I was able to try most of the flavors available, and my favorites included Acai (berry tart flavor), peanut butter, Irish mint, cinnamon bun, and raspberry. I spoke with one of the managers briefly, and he mentioned that they plan to change the flavors around often.
I looked around and saw they also have smoothies and waffle cone cups you can get as well on the yogurt. As for toppings, they have a wide variety of toppings to choose from, many of the typical toppings and syrups that are available at other froyo places are present. I did notice a lot of different «almond» flavors including crushed almonds which added a good taste to the yogurt. I love getting cheesecake bits and Oreo pieces, I’m always a sucker for them.
Overall, I was impressed with the location, it was not busy at the time I went, and they even have apparel which is cool since «Spoon Me» is such a nice name to promote for a yogurt establishment.
I would definitely come back to see what other flavors they will provide.

Whoa, peanut butter frozen yogurt that really tastes like peanuts whipped up into creamy goodness? More please! This place is like a wonderland for dessert nerds who want to try a million different flavors and combo it up with a bunch of topping selections. You’ll have to spoon me after my yogurt induced food coma.
