Had an appointment a month in advance for 4 and only 3 techs were provided. Two were nice but Heather was foul mouthed, obnoxious, unprofessional. Complained about everything creating an uncomfortable non relaxing environment. The water for feet soak was cool tap no warn bubbles. Everyone’s polish was uneven chipping a few days later either their polish was cheap or old. Never going back.

The WORST pedicure I have ever had. The tech was so busy waiting for her pizza to be delivered she had zero focus on what I paid for… a over priced, terrible $ 45.00 pedicure. Not only was it a rip off the foot massage (or lack there of) was under one minute! The space was nice and inviting but the price and performance was horrible! To top it off the lady didn’t even put a top coat on my toes!

My family and I came into this salon /​spa a few weeks ago for Family Week at ASU. We got two women’s pedicures, my dad got a men’s pedicure and men’s manicure… total bill was $ 155.00 (not including tips). My little sister’s mani /​pedi turned out awesome and her girl was super friendly and made several attempts to interact and chit chat. My dad’s girl was super sweet, funny and we all learned a ton about her and where she came from. My girl however was really quiet and I don’t recall saying a word to me. Also, I got like a 45 second foot massage with my pedicure, which was kind of sucky. I was really looking forward to it since we’d been walking around all day /​weekend. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly sweet and social with us since there were five of us in there for at least two hours. The place was super clean and I loved the all white furniture /​black uniforms style going on. Not sure when I’ll be back in town, but if I am back in town, I wouldn’t mind stopping by (hopefully getting a better massage out of it).

Went today to get a gel manicure. The lady was very sweet, but did a terrible job. This nail salon is way too over priced. I would not recommend anyone to come here. Very upset I have to go spend more money just to go get them fixed.

Got my nails done here July 4. 5 days later polish comes off one nail all the way. It’s floating in water. They redid one nail for free. 8 days later 2 other nails did the same thing came off completely. They only guarantee the polish to stay on 7 days. This is gel polish and usually lasts two weeks. Not a fan of the policy or how the polish just comes off and you have to spend more time going to get them fixed. Management doesn’t seem to care about people’s time or money. Gel mani was 45 $. For that price it should be guaranteed to stay on for 2 weeks.

I still absolutely LOVE Debbie and the rest of the great ladies there but the new policies are really driving away customers. The price increase now makes this an expense that no longer makes sense. To make matters worse, I went to book online today only to be greeted by a new policy that now says if you don’t cancel within 24 hours you will be charged FULL PRICE! I typically go on my lunch break and occasionally have something come up at work that makes me need to reschedule. I could see if it was $ 5 or something but the owners really need to rethink their sales strategy… You are driving away the core of your business with insane pricing and ridiculous policies.
Canceling my membership and sadly headed elsewhere :(

I’m downgrading this place to three stars because of the price increase that occurred since my last visit 4 months ago. A basic gel polish manicure is now $ 42 compared to the $ 35 I paid previously. These fees are so close to spa prices — not a nail bar price. I can go to Gainey Village Spa at pay $ 40 for a gel manicure and actually get the Spa experience.
I will say that the staff was very nice — I actually got offered a drink this time. Apparently they had been serving wine and champagne without a liquor license and got busted but they offer non alcoholic options like teas and infused water. I was unable to schedule an appointment over the phone (no one answered), but they do offer scheduling through Unilocal,which I went with as it was my only option, and there was no problem when I showed up to my appointment time. My manicurist, Alla, did a great job on my nails and even suggested the perfect nude color for me. The gel polish color options are great and as mentioned in my previous review, the glitter options are fun, but opting for glitter is an extra fee that I just won’t be paying.

I called 20 Lounge 5 days in advance to set up appointments for my friend and I. I specifically told the receptionist that we both wanted full sets of gels and pedicures (I was never asked or explained that there are many different kinds of pedicures here). We were really excited because this place has some really great reviews and we heard they serve wine and mimosas and what not. So fast forward to today (Sunday). We show up 45 minutes early. No other customers are there. The receptionist working said the girl who took our appointment scheduled us for gel over lay and the basic pedicures. My friend had to skip the mani because her nails were too short and they didn’t have time to do a full set. As I had scheduled. So she got a pedicure. We were asked if we wanted anything to drink. After we found out they no longer have a liquor license, we opted for water and lemonade. Which we never recieved. The woman who was doing my gels constantly complained. She only had an hour and a half of sleep because her bf was in the hospital all night sick and she works 2 jobs. Another woman just stood there not doing anything reading a magazine. So she does my gels, forgets to do the glitter ombré look I asked for since the nail artist wasn’t in to do anything special, and off to get the pedicure. She starts saying how bad of a job I did at cutting my own toe nails and to just let her do them next time. Then she doesn’t even file them evenly. My nails weren’t filed evenly either. One hand is squared off how I normally do them, and the other has random shapes. I don’t know if the gels will actually last the 2 weeks she says they will because she kept forgetting if she put coats on or not. For $ 77 it was totally NOT worth it. I will never come back here again. I’m glad my friend and I came here before making an appt for my bridal party! Guess our search for a decent salon continues… I’m giving them 2 stars because I simply liked my color choices.

I have been to 20 Lounge a handful of times and each time I have been very pleased with my experience. The nail techs are all very friendly and easy to talk to. I have never had a complaint about my manicure or pedicure. The paint has always been right up to my cuticles and smooth (I am very particular about this). Overall great experience.

Im giving this place 2 stars because the experience is fun, but zero starts for the quality of work. I have been to this location more than a handful of times, and i want to like it so much, but each time i get a pedicure, the polish doesnt even go to the cuticle. Right when i left, i took a closer look, and my toes looked like i had a 3 week old grown out pedicure! When i had a mani, the polish didnt stay more than 6 hours and started peeling off. For $ 35 I am really only paying for the experience, not cute digitals.
As for the experience, you need to make an appointment, but once you get there, the ladies are super accommodating. Very patient, personable, and sometimes almost too talkative. I had my bachelorette party here. it was so much fun to be able to book the place out, and have me and my besties and some champagne to ourselves!
I will not be coming back here to get my nails done, especially since theyve raised the prices.

I was referred to this place by another business. Nice people but she did not do a good job on my toes at all! I paid a lot of money to have a mani pedi. I told her several times that I wanted a manicure with clear polish and she ends up painting my nails with the same color as my toes. By the time I noticed she already was on the second coat. I have to pack and did not need to have color on my finger nails since I cannot wait for them to dry! They took to long and could not wait anymore. My toes look awful! I am never coming here again, I don’t care how nice they are. The little nail places that I go to are much better and less expensive. Just so disappointed

I wish I could leave zero stars, but as that is not an option, please take this one star for what it is worth. I created a Unilocal account specifically to review 20 Lounge, as I’m usually very easy going about things– after all, they are only nails. However, bad customer service is NOT excusable, and that is exactly what I received.
First off all, I want to say a HUGE thank you to the receptionists, Jolinn and Nathan. They are the only saving grace to this horrendous establishment, and gave me the only good customer service I received throughout my very long, drawn out experience here.
On my first visit, I was greeted at the Seville location in Scottsdale by Jolinn who was very nice and upbeat. My nail tech, however, was very much the opposite. Heather took me back, and the horror began. While sitting there gossiping about coworkers with another tech, she rushed through my entire service, stopping only to mock my cuticles (this is where I’ll mention that I am a cosmetologist, and know a thing or two about nails, and also have my hands in water all day while I shampoo clients) and to condescendingly ask me about my career aspirations. I mentioned that I was thinking of doing some type of grey, and without showing me polish samples, she picked the grey that she thought I’d like, and began applying without even asking if I liked the polish at all. I did not. When we were finished I opted out of the massage because she was so unpleasant I would rather leave than be pampered. I paid, tipped and left, only to notice in the light of day that the polish was lumpy, shadowy, and did not make it to either nail wall, or to the cuticle. Regardless, I went about my day without complaining, until about 4 hours later when two nails had peeled off completely.
I called the Seville location to explain that my gel had peeled off, and Jolinn explained to me that I could have them repaired at the Scottsdale Quarter location, and apologized for my trouble. Again, great customer service on her part. When I got to the Quarter, I was greeted by Nathan, another receptionist and cosmetologist, who very kindly stayed past closing to repair my terrible nails, as the other nail tech (whos name I didn’t get) complained that it was almost time to go home. He was very kind and courteous, and for my trouble, told me that they would put a free service on my books for next time. I left that day thinking that perhaps I would give 20 Lounge another try.
So jump to yesterday, when my nails were again peeling (just over a week later). I called 20 Lounge to see if I could get an appointment, and the line wouldn’t go through. Hoping that they wouldn’t be too busy on a Wednesday afternoon, I drove down there. The receptionist this time was a woman named Patti. She took my name down on a sticky note, and told me she would see what was available, while another woman took me back to start soaking my gel off. The receptionist, Patti, interrupted our conversation several times to ask me for my name (remember, it was written on a sticky note in her hand) and drill me on why I was given a free service. I told her what had happened over, and over, while she told me she couldn’t seem to find any record of this happening. Finally, she settled on lecturing me that they only give complementary repairs within a week of the original service. I explained to her that this was not a complementary repair, but that I was given a comped service because of all the trouble I had been through on my first visit, but instead of trying to understand, she continued to rudely bash me for MY wrong doings. However, all of this was cut short when my nail techs client walked in, and I was sent away with bare nails and told to make an appointment for polish. In spite of this, I still asked for change to tip my nail tech for the soak off (which Patti had a very hard time with) and made my appointment for the next day, just wanting to get the service I was promised.
The next day when I went in, I was greeted once again by Patti, who seemed annoyed to see me. I was quickly taken back to get my polish put on, and was told by my tech that Patti told her that I had a problem keeping gel on. I don’t, actually. I previously worked for reception at Teres Nail Bar and received many services there that looked great and lasted at least two weeks, though usually closer to four. I finished my service and went up to tip my nail tech, where Patti informed me that if I were paying for my services, it would have been $ 42, and that I really shouldn’t have been given a comped service because it wasn’t approved by management (never mind trying to be good to your customers!) She finished our conversation by telling me that if I didn’t come back within the week, I would not receive anything for free. Well thank you, Patti, but I will absolutely NEVER be coming back.

I visit Scottsdale every year, sometimes twice a year. I found 20 Lounge in 2013, and was ecstatic!
I always booked my mani/​pedi and my airline tickets at the same time.
July 2014, the talented nail artist told me, as she added glitter to my mani, that the owner of 20 Lounge had sold it to a larger company who planned on changing many aspects. She assured me that I would barely notice the changed during my next visit.
April 2015– as I sat for my pedi at 20 Lounge, I felt ripped off. I wanted to run out the door! They offered a «shot» for an extra $ 5.00 to have a scrub. The duration of the scrub was so fast. It was over before it started. Next, the guy who was doing the pedi switched, and handed me over to a woman. She took a fingernail nipper, and started recutting my toenails. He asked her why she was using the fingernail nipper. She said it was her ‘trademark.’ After nipping, she did NOT file. I felt so disenchanted and dare I say… VIOLATED! Anyway, when it came to the polish for my toes, I thought I had calmed down until she told me that in order to make the polish on my left and right big toenail look symmetrical, she had to paint part of my skin. WHAT??? That’s warped!
Hoping for a miracle, I stayed for the manicure. They showed me how they use glitter (cool) and foils (cool) to make the nail designs POP even more. I was delighted to see the results. Well, the flower foil application (ring fingers only) came out looking like a child did it. The glitter «fade» as they called it looked nothing like a fade, but more like a haphazard CLUMP.
I paid, left a reluctant tip, and ran away. I will not go back. Ever. I’m so sad, because this was, at one time, a very special treat.

I was pretty disappointed in this place. They overbooked and so the woman’s next client was there when she was only half way through my nails and I could tell she was rushing. My nails look sloppy and she did not clean up the shaping of them either. I had to smooth out one nail when I got home. It looks like my nails are already a week grown out because she didn’t paint the entire nail. The nail polish was too thick I think and so my nails are all bubbly. And to top if all off they are overpriced. $ 25 for my manicure when the place across the street from me is $ 14 seems like quite the rip off. I am generally not picky and I was made when I got in the car and looked at my nails. I would not go there again, I felt like I just threw away 25 bucks.

I will not go here again. This was probably one of the worst manicure /​pedicures that I’ve ever gotten. Grant it, I’m pretty particular but I like my french «lines» to be straight and not sketchy. If you can’t do a good french, then just don’t do them.
plus, the cuticle job that they did was horrendous. I had to go home and clean up their work. massage was meh. no foot scrub. very disappointing.
For $ 80 bucks, I would have expected WAY more from this place. This place was DEAD when I went in and that should have made me walk right out the door to begin with.
Seriously, I wouldn’t spend a dime here ever again.

Sooo I was really interested in getting a specific type of french tip on my nails so I decided to go to 20 lounge hoping the nail techs would be more experienced. My daughter and I went in on an afternoon to get Gel manicures and within 4 hours my daughters nail chipped… I spent $ 100 for two gel manicures and her nail chipped the same day. I called that night and left a VM, called the next day twice and was told a manager would call me (she never did), I called on the third day and finally got a hold of the manager. She had us go in and she just repainted my daughters nail. Being a manger myself, I would have compensated for the nail, and apologized for not returning my phone call. For the $ 100 I would have expected so much more. Also, my nail chipped 4 days after my manicure. I have gone places and spent half the money and my gel lasted two weeks. Not happy, waste of money!

The nail tech was sweet but needs to stick to her day job if she does that any better. While I’m not incapable of doing my own nails I thought that a pampering moment for $ 20 would be nice. But she paints like a 3^rd grader, barely able to stay in the lines. I have more polish off my nail than I do on my nail.
When I mentioned to the receptionist as I was paying she says she will have the manager call me. For what and how? You didn’t collect my number and you clearly can’t think that I’m coming back for service. Besides, I live in St. Thomas. This will be the last place I come on Earth if my life depended in it.
Bottomline, you get what you pay for at this establishment. Not worth my money!!!

I will admit, I am not a girly girl. I am low maintenance and haven’t ever been that girl who got their nail’s done on a regular basis. I hated, I mean HATED going to other nail salons where I couldn’t frankly have a conversation with my technician and worse than that I hated all of the side conversations they had, and the constant up sell’s.
I dreamt of a place that wasn’t pricey, did awesome nail art when I wanted, offered some good conversation if I wanted. I wanted kinda the dry bar of nail salons, and frankly that’s what 20 nail lounge is!
Ashley always kills it doing my nails, I always leave with something fun and cute, plus she is just the sweetest girl around. $ 20.00 for a basic mani, $ 35.00 for a gel and $ 5.00 for nail art. Easy and simple… Just the way I like

I have a hard time finding free time for things like pedicures and other personal grooming.
I discovered this 20 Lounge near my job takes appointments online. Awesome!!!
It’s the little things like that which sway me. I have a busy schedule, so if I can squeeze in a pedi, with an appointment that I can make without calling, it’s a huge winner for me.
Pretty nail salon-​oversized chairs and you put your tootsies in a bowl, not a massage chair.
It’s different than your standard nail places. a higher end look and feel. Not better, just different.
I got a great nail technician (I think her name was Desiree). Nice massage though brief, and I added the sugar scrub and hot towel service (those little things are extra $ here).
It was me and one other person (who was talking way too loud-there’s one at every nail place right)?!
Music and videos are playing on the screens and they offered me something to drink.
A little more $$ than I like to spend, but it’s great when I’m at work and can’t get to my neighborhood salon.

I walked into 20 Lounge and was greeted by two smiling ladies one who took down my name and my service options. Once they knew that I was there for a manicure, I was asked to pick out my color and then directed to have a seat at the mani bar.
Gwen was my manicurist and she was very personable she did exactly what I requested even down to my nail art. they offered me tea, coffee, wine, water or a mimosa while I was being serviced. The décor is nice and bright with warm touches and they have two nice sized flat screens playing music videos.
My friends scheduled pedicures and I was impressed that they were actually done in low sitting chairs. I don’t like the ones that are so high that you feel like you are climbing into them. So next time I will choose to have a pedicure. Lastly you can get a facial or have waxing done here. Overall this is a nice place for you to relax and treat yourself to some «Me Tine».
