Established in 1989.

I started All In One Maintenance in Morristown, New Jersey in 1982. I remodeled homes, did landscaping, lawn cutting, and snow plowing.

We moved to Scottsdale, Arizona from Morristown, N.J. in 1989 to get away from the snow and bitter cold. We purchased a home in South Scottsdale where I joined a networking group called «People Helping People». I really enjoy helping people. I’m a great Problem solver.

Over the next decade I established many clients and friends. If I can’t help you… I know someone I can reccommend who will.

Barry grew up in East Hanover, New jersey. Barry had a great childhood and young adult life full of culture and great learning. From grammar school through high school Barry was very involved in 4-​H. He specialized in Hybrid Rose growing and Nursery Management. Barry won 100’s of awards at the Morris County Fairs. Barry got his college degree in Applied Science. Barry started his own Landscaping business at the age of 16, and is still in his own business 34 years later.

Barry has a passion to help people. He loves to solve problems. Barry is great at Brainstorming. He has many references and is highly recognized in his field of expertize.

Had Barry paint my walls and install my floors. Between my wife and myself, I will not call these guys again.

I would agree with the other reviewers. I did not have a problem with scheduling though. But I was very unhappy with the work done. I had him install two fans for me. Previously both had worked from switches on the wall. After the new fans were installed they only worked from pull chains and when I told him that would not work because I’d have to stand on my bed to turn off the light, he told me that the problem was with the fan I bought.
When I told him that would not work and he’d have to take it down so I could return it, he told me he would charge me to take it down. I told him the fan was inoperable as installed and he told me he didn’t know I wanted the wall switch to work. In his mind, it was operable because there was a way to turn it off and on, though quite inconvenient..
So now I’m going to have to have someone who is more knowledgeable come and redo what he did. And I paid him $ 350 for installing three light fixtures (his worker did those and they seem fine), two fans and a few other minor fixes. And that was with my groupon. Since it would have been $ 450 without the groupon, It was a totally absurd amount of money to pay for work that doesn’t — well, work.
I read the reviews but went forward with him anyway thinking that the work I had was so minor, I wouldn’t have issues. If you are reading this, I would advise you to think twice.

I got a groupon and called to schedule a fan installation.
1. I called, but Barry was in the car and couldn’t take down my information. He asked me to hang up, call him back and leave a voicemail with my info. I did.
2. A week went by, and he hadn’t returned my call. So I called again. This time he was in an attic and again didn’t have his schedule or anything to write down my information. He asked me to call back and leave another voicemail. When I politely pointed out that I’d done the same thing a week earlier and hadn’t received a response, he said he’d call me back.
3. After at least 4 more calls back and forth, we were scheduled for Saturday between 12 and 1. I called at 12:30 to get an ETA, and he said he was in the middle of an 8-​hour job and would call me at 4. He didn’t apologize for having to move my appointment or for not calling to let me know ahead of time.
4. He didn’t call at 4. He called at 6 to reschedule, but he didn’t have his schedule with him. He said he’d call in 2 hours or so.
5. He didn’t call in 2 hours or so. He called 14 hours later. I missed his call by 2 seconds. I immediately called him back and apologized for missing his call. He said, «Yeah, you didn’t answer.» We rescheduled for 11 that day.
6. I was at church, so my fiancé met him at the house. Barry didn’t bring an appropriately sized ladder, but luckily we had a 6-​foot ladder. He got the fan installed, and according to my fiancé he asked all sorts of inappropriate questions, including how much we paid for our house.
In short, Barry got the job done but he showed a complete lack of communications skills, follow-​through and any sort of professionalism. If we didn’t have a groupon I never would have gone with All in One Maintenance.

I had these folks in last year to paint the interior of my house. My first mistake — they’re not licensed contractors, so no recourse when things go terribly wrong. They’re sloppy. They didn’t use drop cloths until I insisted. I’m not kidding. They were putting open paint cans directly on my furniture. They spattered all over my travartine and carpet.
When I pointed out the obvious problems, Barry told me that he had guys working there who weren’t painters. He seemed genuinely surprised when I told him to get them out of my house and only let real painters paint. they used semi-​gloss to touch up eggshell, eggshell to touch up semi-​gloss, rolled primer and finish paints indiscriminately and interchangeably and rolled right over picture hooks until I stopped them. They did not remove switchplates and electricial covers. They took off my doors to paint them, and when they replaced them, the doors did not catch right. They still don’t catch right.
Barry tried to abandon the job the second he got two thirds payment. Somehow, it was my fault that he didn’t have enough workers and I had so much house. They spattered paint on my newly coated decorative glass and my granite countertops. I’m still finding paint blotches. I ended up throwing Barry and his crew out of my house. Two of my Atlantis Crystal Brandy snifters turned up missing and that was it. These guys were a big, big mistake. Barry was constantly after me for more money for the job like I was getting some kind of great big bargain. Hello?! He gave me the price, not the other way around!
They missed entire sections of wall then tried to get away with only giving it one coat. They made it very uncomfortable to live in my house for the more than 3 weeks they were tromping around in it. And the whole time, Barry bragged to me about all his happy, happy customers and how he could do all kinds of different home maintenance items.
Well, I hope all his other customers are happy. I’d hate to think he puts everybody through what he put my household through!
