Caniglia Facial Plastic Surgery

I went to Dr. Caniglia to have lower face lift and blepharoplasty in 2015, I was left with bad scars under my eyes and above my eyes as well as scars under my chin and sagging skin along my jawline. I went to talk with him about fixing it for the past year (about 10 times) and nothing changed and he would not fix anything about it. I went through a painful surgery that was very expensive and was not happy with any part of my facial surgery and I would never recommend Dr. Caniglia to anyone.

I should have written this review 10 years ago when Dr. Caniglia performed upper eyelid surgery, and forehead lift. I initially only came for upper eyelid surgery, and Dr. Caniglia suggested a forehead lift for better results.
I can’t express how much it changed my life in feeling confident, happy and young! It has helped me a great deal to stay in the Health and Fitness Industry, and allowed me to pursue the career of my dreams!
The whole experience from consultation, pre op, surgery, and post op was excellent! The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. My questions were answered before I had to ask. Best decision I’ve made for myself no doubt!
I have referred several friends to the Caniglia Center, and they all had excellent results!
I knew that if I ever decided to want or need cosmetic surgery again, this would be the place!
And so I did, 10 years later, this month, I’ve decided to have a face lift for my neck and lower face done.
Its’s only been 10 days but the results are already stunning, and getting better each day!
Amazing how natural I look, no pulled or surprised look!

Yes, I posted that I was contacted by Dr. Caniglia’s attorney when I expressed my extreme disappointment with my results and I threatened to post before and after pictures on social media. It is a fact. It is also a fact that I felt intimidated. My family had NO IDEA I had surgery. I didn’t volunteer that I was having surgery but I expected them to notice. I’m not surprised that they didn’t.
I asked his staff member, «Would Dr. Caniglia post my before and after pictures in an effort to gain more business?» She hesitated and I repeated myself several times. She finally answered, «No.» Damn right he wouldn’t and I don’t blame him.
Go ahead and delete this posting again claiming it is not a real experience despite the fact that you know it is. I’ll ask you personally, Dr. Caniglia, would you post my before and after results in an attempt to get more business? I’m assuming you won’t for obvious reasons. If you do, I want to see them prior to being posted so I know they aren’t photo shopped.
Yes, years later I am still very disgusted! I have to look in the mirror every day, with my bank balance thousands of dollars less and know that I wasted my money! You advised me how risky it is to have the surgery done again, so I guess I’m stuck with your results. I’ll assume your attorney will contact me again and cite additional cases where people had judgments against them for EXTREME amounts of money for complaining about their plastic surgery results… I’m not intimidated anymore!!!

I could not have been happier with my rhinoplasty by Dr. Caniglia. His staff from start to finish was top-​notch. From the patient coordinator, the front office staff, the surgery and recovery nurses to the esthetician, all highly, professional, nurturing and caring, and they have all worked for Dr. Caniglia for greater than 15 years.
The surgery itself was extremely easy, I experienced no pain, swelling or bruising and I was back to work in a week! This was the only surgery I had ever had, but Dr. Caniglia’s staff put me at ease and I am still in shock with how smoothly everything went. Now, I’m just impatiently waiting for my final results — which can typically take a full year to realize.
Also, the skincare products and red light therapy treatment that is included in the surgery are amazing. The moisturizer actually moisturized my skin and didn’t make a me breakout like most do. Jade, in the skin care center is incredible. I don’t live in the area, but I truly can’t wait to go back!

Dr Caniglia performed both a full-​face laser and an upper and lower blepharoplasty on me. When I read some of the negative reviews on here, I felt that I had to share my experience. When I went in for my consultation, Dr C was both professional and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained what each procedure involved and the recovery time involved. I felt no pressure, he just shared the information on what could be done. When I decided to schedule, his scheduler was very receptive to my time constraints and worked with me to find the most convenient surgery time. Pre-​surgery, I met with with one of Dr C’s nurses. She went over all the details with me, from how to prepare before the surgery, to what would happen on the actual day of surgery, and then what to expect day by day afterwards. I was understandably a little anxious the day of the surgery. His nurses were soothing and calm, his anesthesiologist professional and competent. Post-​surgery I was well prepared. In fact, for me, I felt the recovery was better then expected. I was well informed and had no unexpected surprises. I feel that with the full-​face laser, it really takes a few months to totally recover (tho I was out and about about 10 days post-​surgery). I would go back to Dr Caniglia in a heartbeat. He rates an A+ from me for both the level of skill and the level of customer service.

Dr. Caniglia did a rhinoplasty on me just last week. I spent a whole month looking for the right doctor (I saw 4 other «top surgeons»). One of the top reasons why I chose him for my surgery was because he was the only doctor that had realistic expectations, didn’t make me wait in the waiting room (like most do, since it’s just a consultation to them), allowed me to see a visual of how my nose may look after, but most importantly talked about rhinoplasty like he’s been doing it all his life. He didn’t try to «win me over» he simply spoke facts. Him, along with the rest of his staff gave me outstanding costumer service and made me feel so comfortable. I had no swelling, nor any bruises. It may be luck, my Mexican skin (lol), but I prefer to believe it’s the quality of the surgery. I would recommend him for any nose jobs, and I am forever grateful to him and his staff for giving me the nose I have wanted for a long time now.

Had a lower face lift plus co2 laser last Oct 2014. Cost over $ 16,000 was left with scar down my neck from a 2^nd modifcation and sagging skin on jaw line. Not happy with results.

I received lip injections from Dr. Caniglia. I was skeptical because when I called the receptionist informed me he did not have before and after pictures of his patients for this particular procedure. I went against my better judgement since Dr. Caniglia specializes in facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Caniglia rushed through the procedure and did not shape my lips. I was left with asymmetry from too much filler in one side of my lip. This is a direct result of the skill and experience of the injector.
I was told I would need to pay for another syringe for him to «correct» the results. Dr. Caniglia’s techniques seem dated and I will need to have another surgeon correct the bad injections.
Lesson learned I will not go to a plastic surgeon who does not have before and after pictures available for the specific procedure I want.

I would rate ZERO if I could — the ladies in the waiting room with frozen looking faces should have tipped me off… I waited 45 minutes for botox — when I was finally in the treatment room, the nurse told me that the Dr. gives a standard 85 units to every patient regardless of what they look like… over $ 1000 for botox seriously!!! I am 33 with NO wrinkles, I take a little between the eyebrows to reduce frown lines. I ended up walking out after 55 minutes total with no botox and a total waste of time. Too bad, I work close to the place and was hoping to make it my new skin care and surgery center. Very very disappointing.

After doing my research I decided to go to Dr Caniglia because he specializes in facial surgery only and uses local anesthesia with intravenous sedation. I am thrilled with my outcome. I had a facelift, blepharoplasty (upper and lower eyelid) and submalar (midface) implants. The outcome is that I look like myself just refreshed — just not tired and old. I love the look and feel of my face. The jowls are gone… I LOVE IT. It has been about 5 weeks since my surgery and it is still getting better and better. This whole experience has been great — everyone involved is most genuine and professional. They are the best in my opinion.
